Beautiful lounge, library, Bistro, restaurant. Swimming pool, hairdresser, massage room, cinema. The flats are very nicely designed. Open plan kitchen and spacious reception. Fitted wardrobes and spacious balconies. Bathrooms and shower rooms are spacious. There is also a large garage where you can park your car. There is always something to do, you never feel lonely or bored.

I received a letter from Audley Villages, although I suspect they purchased my name and address from a scam website as I have never contacted them. The letter, as well as inviting me to a retirement home visit also advised how I could call to stop their communications, despite my never requesting these communications. I called and was given a load of tosh by Anna, who then rudely terminated the call. So they bought my details yet it seems there is nothing I can do about it. Clearly, not a reputable company and I advise you to avoid them.
We have requested further information to make sure your details are removed from our database. We only purchase data from reputable sources. Nonetheless, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We plan our mailings up to six weeks in advance so please allow up to six weeks for your removal request to take effect.

I really enjoyed my tour around Audley Englefield Green. Amy was a very welcoming host and explained the concept of Audley extremely well and could answer all my questions. The residents that I saw seemed very happy and were obviously enjoying the great facilities. I was very impressed with the apartment that I viewed.

I was given a comprehensive tour of the building and was able to view several apartments and facilities such as the pool and cinema. Ralph Haddon was very thorough in explaining all the facilities and also in asking me about my needs. However, this is not a 'retirement village', just a block of quite expensive apartments. The 'village' garden is more or less a paved area down one side of the building with some shrubs. I can see that if you are on your own and want to downsize to somewhere where there is a level of support available, then this could be a good place for you. But it is not for me - aged 75 I just did not feel old enough for it yet!

We were made very welcome and felt our visit was well prepared fo even though we were kindly fitted in at very short notice. We were given comprehensive information but information that was relevant to us. Nothing was too much trouble , we were taken around to get a feel of the place and saw facilities and two residences. We also felt we were talking with someone with considerable relevant experience which made it a very useful visit and has given us a lot to think about.

Visit arranged to consider the Audley village concept as a potential next move as a couple.The location (Standbridge Earls) was spacious, relaxed and peaceful. Following a coffee, Gemma took us on a buggy ride around the facilities and to a couple of vacant properties. Grounds - by investing in an old manor estate with woods and lakes the environment was 'ready made' and has been turned into something extremely attractive. Properties - Light, airy, and as both relatively new fully fitted unobtrusively with all the tech. needed today and in the future - smart. Apartment design was particularly attractive with no dark corridors.Facilities were of a high standard, the restaurants were also available within limits to the public, which we saw as a benefit to keep costs keen and ideas fresh. Maintenance charges were two tiered to cover the day-to-day services plus long term maintenance which is an effective way of keeping the Estate looking good. Have to say we were impressed by Gemma's balance in terms of what we wished to see and achieve. We were not immediate buyers, and there was no hard sell, just a good discussion later over a drink around the costs and potential to move here. This business model seems to be very well thought through and we will be back again to investigate more.

Kim made my husband and myself welcome and went to a lot of trouble to go through everything with us. We enjoyed our visit to see a show cottage and our little trip on the golf buggy. It will be a lovely complex when it’s finished.

We had a pleasant welcome from Kim at Scarcroft. The surroundings were comfortable and coffee was made for us. Kim was friendly in her approach and gave us clear information on the proposals for the different aspects of the retirement village . A model of the future village further clarified the layout & amenities. We were able to ask questions throughout the visit and were given full, considered answers. Later we were driven ( in a buggy) to the show cottage and finally given a folder of prices and information to study at our leisure.

I was made to feel very welcome and offered hospitality on my arrival. Your host was much in demand and had to attend to several matters during the course of our discussion. Your host listened attentively to my story and was able to make a number of helpful suggestions concerning my family circumstances. We were unable to visit any apartments, which were under construction, but your host provided a lot of useful information. The public rooms were very impressive and there was a good feel about the development. One of the senior managers introduced himself and was pleased to offer further information based on his experience with other Audley developments. There was no pressure placed upon me to acquire a property and I was made to feel relaxed and able to ask as many questions as I wished. I came away with a very favourable impression.

Andy made my parents feel incredibly welcomed and opened a door of possibility to their next stage of comfortable yet not assisted living. The activities, the facilities and the flats themselves were of the highest quality and very inviting to people who have always been very active.There are many considerations left to evaluate however the visit and the clear outline of costs were much appreciated. Whether they make the step to buy into the village now, later or not at all, the visit has given them an inspiring view of how life could look after the sale of the family home.

A warm welcome from Samantha who showed me all around the impressive and most attractively layed out village. The facilities are superb and quality shines out from the fixtures and fittings, through to fabrics and the pristine condition of all buildings and accommodation. The Service packages offered where excellent. No requirement or need had been overlooked. One could move into the village and never lift a finger again nor have a thing to worry about except how to enjoy yourself.But you will pay for this worry free environment, it is not cheap. Just as you would expect to pay a lot for a five star hotel so you would not expect to pay less for all the village has to offer.Having said this I felt it was overpriced. Leaving finances to one side there is also the question of the environment. Certainly all the residents I spoke to loved the place and could not speak more highly of it. But it was not for me.Horses for courses I suppose. But that is a very personal response. I would not hesitate to recommend going to see the village for yourself. It could well be your own little bit of paradise.

With regard to the Audley reply below, this does not explain the scarcity of messages left here by residents. It would be interesting to see some messages left here by residents saying what they think about the monthly management charge of about £1000 a month (increasing annually), as well as ground rent and in some villages, car parking fees too. Also, the deferred management charge on sale, of 1% a year for each year of occupation (up to 15%), irrespective of whether the value has increased).
We do invite our property owners to submit reviews, which many do. We invite guests to the village to submit their valuable feedback too, as we welcome lots of new faces to our villages each week. You can watch testimonial videos and read more in depth feedback from owners who live here, on our website.

I visited Willicombe Court in Tunbridge Wells to assess whether or not it was going to be a suitable place for my parents to move to. Karl was on hand to talk me through everything Audley Villages do and how they care for their residents. Having made a positive decision, I am now taking my parents to take a look for themselves. I hope they like it s much as me as it's perfect for their next chapter.

We were shown round the village and given a short review of the history of the site . The flats are very well equipped and the finance was full explained. E were un rushed and very well looked after by the staff. We hit window if time to talk to some guests . The gardens including the trees are beautiful . Thank you very much for your kind hospitality. The social events very good . Overall a very impressive village layout and buildings .
