When my wife and I moved to Edinburgh this one the first estate agency that we felt they cared about us. Looking for a rental can be hard, more every year maybe, but need to say that founding these people was like finding water in a desert after trying and trying. We were waiting for weeks to get a decision, But no one got in touch. We tried to get a response by email and on the phone but their only response was landlord not taken any decision yet. Its just a complete lie. Because if i am a landlord and my property is still empty and find a decent tenant. I would rather say yes than lose money each month. But its all a lie when they say we send applications to landlord. When landlord wants to manage a property through agency, Because they dont want this headache of getting applications and taking a decision. Its agency that should be responsible for taking every decision... We feel like we are being descriminated!

Had a good experience with Retties, issues we encountered were not with the agent but the landlord. When things went wrong Retties were always quick to react and get back to us, the main problem was they had to wait for the landlord and he would take days or weeks to reply. But overall a good agent.

Being a student and looking for a flat in Edinburgh can be the most thankless task. Never did I think that the process of looking for a flat could be enjoyable but the team at Rettie have made a fantastic effort to help me find pretty much my perfect flat. From start to finish the team at Rettie & Co were the best agents I have ever experienced in Edinburgh. They are always friendly and helpful. Any issues in the flat my portfolio manager -Alana Shepherd always dealt with quickly. I have to move out the property recently, Alana professionally and friendly helped me with the check-out process. With her help, the vacating went smoothly, especially during this difficult time. I took good care of the flat during my tenancy, so the check-out inspection went well too. I have submitted the full refund of my deposit. All in all, the renting experience with Alana and the team at Rettie & Co is fantastic. I can only recommend them.

Moving to a new city is super hard especially when you don't know anything about the area (and every student is looking for accommodation and you can't find short term because the Fringe is happening). We would have been lost without Kirsty from Rettie and Co. We were trying to view apartments while travelling from Aberdeen (roughly three hours including bathroom stops) to view properties and finding a flat that was suitable and in a decent condition seemed impossible. Companies such as SouthSide would only allow you to apply for one place at a time and it could take up to 10 days to get confirmation (which was always a no). We were on our third trip down when we had decided to spend a couple of days in the area. We met Kirsty one day and she offered for us to basically follow her around the next day at any of the properties that suited our requirements. She gave us the times and street names so we could look them up and show up if we were interested. Within a day and a half we ended up seeing 5 more properties, with three of those being with Rettie. The difference between the other companies agents and Rettie was astounding. Kirsty knew the quirks of most of the properties and the surrounding areas, where as some of the other agents hardly seemed to know what day it was. By the weeks end we had a deposit sent through and the reference process underway. The best take away from the experience, in a city where the property market is so fast moving, is that Rettie and Co. treat you like an individual and will do their best to find a place that's right for you. You're THEIR client, not just another number. Thank you Kirsty and Rettie.

We've been letting out our property with Rettie for the past 5 years and cannot recommend Rettie enough. We've had the same Rettie property manager (Iwona) over the period and she is highly competent, diligent and professional. The quality of service has been fantastic and she has a great friendly attitude. There have been a few minor issues with the property over the years and Rettie have dealt with them quickly and professionally, and they've also always managed to get new tenants quickly and at competitive rental rates. We've worked with other letting / property management agents before and it has been a nightmare; not the case with Rettie and it has been a pleasure working with them.

They are extremely good at their service, and they know how to value their tenants. We have rented a flat from Rettie in Edinburgh city centre for about 10 years. We have only had a good experience with Rettie. Rettie have been quick in communicating with the landlord and any issue we had, from leaks to broken furniture, was resolved very quickly. Having heard horror stories from friends about other letting companies, we are very happy to confirm that our experience with Rettie has been exceptional. We would also name drop our property manager, David Lamont. David greatly contributed to our fantastic experience as specified above.
