The team response very promptly and in a very friendly manner to my request. As my brother financial guarantor I only have contact to the accounts, and even though my request was to PM team, the e-mail was forward promptly and picked up by PM Team Dundas's Evie. Imran Iqbal on the field got back to me on the same day and reassure me of my concern. Problem solved!

I was a tenant with DJ Alexander for 9 years, between two properties, and for the vast majority of the time my experience was excellent.When something needed fixing, it would be organised and sorted within a few days, including a time when we found the wiring in the flat needed essentially redoing.I think the only thing I’d say was a bit lacking is communication was a little bad for the first few years (but I think this has since been fixed with software for tracking issues)Honestly, looking back I don’t think I had much to complain about? I’ve always felt a little awkward recommending DJ Alexander because I know their reputation with colleagues and friends but I truly haven’t had this experience myself.

Laura Mctaggart and Garry Fox were very helpful and friendly during my application to rent; they helped me finish and process the application for a very quick turn-around. Both over the phone and through emails, they answered all my queries and resolved my issues quickly and efficiently.

Avoid. Firstly, when they bought over previous agent there was a noticeable drop in engagement and customer service from them. Too big a company to care. Didn’t have an inspection in the year we had them. Took 5 weeks to fix a boiler last year - no hot water and no desire from them to ensure quick fix. Both them and landlord reluctant offered 15% compensation from one month rent. Landlord now selling and has decided 8 months after boiler issue and are now refusing to pay compensation payment.Loved the flat but experience ruined by agent and landlord

GoogleMy daughter travelled to Edinburgh today for a flat viewing. The agent from DJ Alexander arrived with the wrong keys and then said there was actually no point in viewing the property anyway as the landlord had actually let it to someone else - although the deposit hadn't been paid. Seriously DK Alexander ? Completely unprofessional and inexcusable. Not recommended.

GoogleI am a Landlord with DJ Alexander. Not happy at a recent situation whereby my tenant complained about a problem with the stair lighting. This situation was resolved quickly, but when I got my landlord statement I discovered that I had paid the bill for all the tenants. No quick resolution here. I have to wait for the other flat owners to pay me. Leaving me short of money for this month. This situation should never have arisen.

GoogleTerrible experience as a landlord. Appalling communications from these agents. It took them almost three months to get a tenant in our property, the longest we've experienced in over a decade of letting property. The tenant ended up contacting us directly to arrange the tenancy in the end because they couldn't get a response from DJ Alexander. As a landlord I would not recommend this firm at all and will not be using them again in the future.

GoogleMaintenance is a big issue for DJ Alexander, I’m having problems with my microwave since 28/04 (3 weeks) without any idea when it will be fixed. That said, I don’t recommend based on the service level I’m getting so far.

I'm really happy with the company's way of dealing with lettings. I recently had a viewing with Gemma Louis who was very helpful listened to my personal circumstances and advised me on filling out my application form. Also I highly appreciate the fact that the company always replies to each application whitin short period of time including the unsuccessful ones which saved me a lot of time and wondering.

Overall, I've had a very negative experience with Braemore/DJ Alexander. Over the years, I've had to deal with a troublesome tenant and a few Braemore personnel (who all probably now work for DJ Alexander), who are only sometimes willing to help and take weeks to carry out a process. My family has had a particularly horrible experience due to a Braemore personnel who was dishonest, signed agreements on our behalf and kept this information from us for years. Due to these personnel, we were only able to gain access to our property about 1 year after we initially asked their help. However, my most recent experience with the last DJ Alexander personnel I met was very positive. She was easily the best personnel I've met so far. She helped me through a very long and difficult process to end my business with DJ Alexander. Although there were very long discussions/arguments, I felt honesty and patience from a personnel for the first time. These long discussions were carried out, because she was attentive. When I wrote an email, it would usually take only hour/s for a reply and I have written a couple or a few emails almost everyday for the past month (with several long phone calls). She had even relayed my horrible past experience to her superiors and I've felt heard after years.

Sophie, the End Of Tenancy Property Manager, has been extremely helpful and professional in managing the exit of the current tenant and preparing for the new one. A new tenant has been found very quickly, so that's all appreciated and I'd rate 5 stars.Regarding the day-to-day, I do find the tracking system for issues to be frustrating and some of the responses regarding quotes take longer than I think they could, but the people I'm working with are friendly and helpful.

We bought a property listed under DJ Alexander in Edinburgh and since the sellers were in another country as we, the buyers were - we still had our niece view it for us before sales agreement was made. The agreement said “all furniture, shed and such included”. CAVIOT EMPTORS! The estate agent allowed dining table and chairs, coffee table, bed frames, garden table chairs, lawnmower, hedge trimmer and even the bin shed be taken from the property between the viewing and final sale date! When contacted - they said sorry- seller is in Greece! NEVER use DJ Alexander for sales!
We are sorry to hear about the misunderstanding between the seller and his friend who removed extra items from the property. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this either. However glad to hear that through the solicitors, this has been settled. We would like to thank you for purchasing through DJ Alexander and wishing you many happy memories in your new home.
