I recently visited the new homes…

I recently visited the new homes complex at Paddock View in Yapton and was greeted with the best customer experience in a long time. The sales advisor was a great ambassador for the business and she knew everything that there is to know about the development, from construction detail to how energy efficient the homes were, which is critically important. I was so taken by the attention to detail and the high quality finish of the homes, it is without a doubt that I will be back soon!

Customer “Care”

Their customer care team is like talking to a wall. Speaking of walls, the new build walls are paper thin. I can literally hear every bang from my neighbours kids every single day and have done for the past year. When asking about wall specs, they can’t supply such information as it’s private to the company. That’s fine, but when making walls, I didn’t expect polystyrene to be their material of choice.

Worst sales team and unfair process.

A nightmare experience with the sales and customer service. I had expressed interest in buying one of their properties at Saxon park, Bedford, well before they started constructing. Once they started releasing properties I went through their procedure of being “vetted “ by their mortgage advisor. However the process of reserving the properties is not transparent. I tried going to their office and was told to phone or book appointment online. I have contacted them to view an appointment via their website and have not heard anything back 5 days later. I then called the sales team and was told that someone will call me back but have still not heard anything yet. I’m starting to get the feeling that as also highlighted by another reviewer, despite having adequate funds , meeting all the criteria the process seems to be based on some sort of favouritism and have noted that some properties that have not been released suddenly yet appear as being reserved! I understand they have a choice to take on only those buyers they consider as best buyers, such as those not in a chain (we are not) but surely the process has to be fair for all those in that position. It seems ‘helpful staff’ (again referred to by other reviewers) again are only for those chosen buyers where they have made up their minds to sell to, clearly there’s a hidden criteria.

Victoria at Towerlands Park

My partner and I visited Towerlands park a few weeks ago and we were absolutely blown away. Victoria couldn't have been more helpful to us. Not only was she super professional, and really knew her stuff, we didn't feel pushed to make a decision in any way - Victoria simply had a genuine interest in us finding our perfect home, rather than it just being another sale. Incompetent bordering on negligent

Horrific experience and utterly incompetent after sales team bordering on negligent. Customer support don’t action anything despite months of emails and phonecalls. Clear documented evidence of issues on handover and still 2 years on major issues with our doors, windows and bifold patio doors & our downstairs toilet. Promisee after promise given but never any substance to them. Soon enough the emails stop getting answered or you simply get a “no”.

We met Jess and Andrew at The Sweetings in East Malling and were shown around the stunning show home by Jess. We were so impressed with the Development and the care and attention the staff showed us. We think that the Chartwell suits our needs in particular because of the downstairs office and double garage. Jess and Andrew talked us through everything without feeling that they were being pushy. Fantastic!

We have had a great experience buying our new home from Dandara. After hearing lots of horror stories from friends and family about buying new builds, we had our reservations. However, Dandara have smashed our expectations. The team are helpful, kind and friendly and have kept in contact with us every step of the way. The builders we have met so far have been courteous and helpful. We have found limited snags so far (we have only been in a week) and the builders are all over them. Nothing we ask is too much trouble. I highly recommend Dandara!

Worst developer ever

Bearsted (The Sycamores development)We bought a detached house from Dandara a month ago. Shortly after the house was handed over to us, it has become our worst nightmare. The house was uncompleted with roof tiles, bricks, mastic and pipes missing in various places. There are more than 120 snag issues according to the building survey we paid to be carried out by an independent surveyor. Customer care does not exist and the whole process of getting any issue fixed by Dandara has been utterly exhausting. If you can live with any of the following experiences, sure Dandara is probably your best choice. Otherwise, there is no way that we would buy or recommend anyone to buy a property from Dandara. (1) property may be delivered unfinished(2) poor workmanship (external and internal decoration)(3) after completion, you personally have to constantly talk to Dandara to get any sense of when any issue is to be fixed(4) when you are promised someone will come to fix an issue, do note that more than likely it is an empty promise and you will be waiting hopelessly for days/weeks and likely months(5) when someone does eventually turn up to fix an issue, do note that likely the person has not been briefly by Dandara so he or she may not have the right tool for the job(6) you have to know so much more about house building and what each tradesman does and you will need to tell Dandara what sort of contractor you need to fix your problems, not Dandara(7) eventually you are excited to see that someone finally turns up to fix one issue, be aware that some areas needed fixing may be forgotten again and you will need to go through the exhausting process from (4) to (5) again in days/weeks/months to book another visit.If anyone is thinking of buying from Dandara and would like to discuss with us what we went through and are still experiencing with this developer, please feel free to leave a message and we can talk.

Mxed Minds about Dandara.

I am in mixed Minds about Dandara.In Octobre 2021 I signed a purchase agréement (Tunbridge Wells, Kent) and thé sales service from Dandara was excellent. Unfortunately my buyer pulled out and i couldn't exchange on thé agrééd date and as a result i Lost thé house. Although i found another buyer very quickly and wanted to sign for another house on thé estate, thé sale team were extremely poor this Time round and i almost got thé impression that they didn't want me to buy ??!! Thé consultant who had accompagnied me since thé beginning no longer answered my mails and i someone else "took over" yet this consultant didn't know any of thé History or exchanges that i had had with thé first sales consultant. Then thé first consultant would pop UP every now and then but in a very "i am not really involved / i've moved on to something else" manner...it was very incohérent and i felt very "abandonnéd". I don't know if thé team was tired as they were at thé end of a 5 year sales programme or if they just didn't Care however thé service was very poor at thé end. It all Turned out ok and thé purchase went through second Time round as i did alot of pushing and insisting however i was very disappointed particularly with thé sales consultant who disappeared.My biggest "problèm" with Dandara is that their sales team is very pushy to get positive feedback via reviews published. When my first house purchase fell through my sales consultant asked me to put a comment online suggesting that i mention this and that and that i Say good things on her service. My review reflected my expérience until that day however After thé poor sales service for thé second house i felt that thé sales consultant should have waited until thé end of thé sale before asking for a review. This may have motivated her to do a better job second Time round? Today i now have another sales consultant writing /calling every week asking me to fill out a New homebuilders survey even if thé end date is mid August ! And it was even said in his mail " please reply truthfully however if you could put a yes for recommending us it would bé much appréciated and this will help us keep our 5 star rating". Firstly i think it is way too early to Ask for honest feedback from New home owners and thèse suveys should bé done After a year of living in a New home as any issues that may arise will probably NOT bé in thé first 4 months. Just a "yes" at thé end of thé survey allows for a 5 star rating but doesn't take into account other comments. Also i find it a little inappropriate for Dandara sales consultants to Ask customers to give reviews before complétion and thé handing over of keys and suggesting what areas to comment on. Clearly this influences thé reviews in a distorted manner. Anyway my house sale went through, thé house seems generally ok (After 3 months). Thé After sales Customer service really needs to bé improved as i need to chase alot. Some Snagging issues which date back to thé day i moved in have still not been resolved and this is not in alignment with thé Dandara promise...Issues - customer service After purchase/ Dandara promiseSales teams pushing for reviews way too earlyI am however enjoying my house, i love thé neighbourhood and apart from thè minor issues i am in général pleased (moved in 2 months ago).
