The site staff are friendly and helpful, and it was very easy to get signed on and moved in. However: - My tenancy ended a month ago, and i haven't received my deposit back. There's been no reason given for this, I've chased and have been fobbed off to the TDS to address this. - moving into the flat that is supposedly professionally cleaned, i found the extractor was filthy and covered in thick grease on the inside and outside, which is a fire hazard. The 'cleaning' of the flat was a lick of paint over everything, hairs were painted into wood work, there was a manky plank of wood holding the bath panel together and even the bathroom string light switch was covered in white paint & knotted. - I pointed out the airing cupboard door wouldn't open prior to moving in, this wasnt fixed. I again reported it. Someone came and sprayed wd-40 on it, and i advised again that the job wasn't complete. The door held access to the hot water switch, which i couldn't switch on. - I advised via email of the tenancy payment dates and how I'd be unable to pay on the stated date. I was told this was fine, thus signed my tenancy. The tenancy was never amended, so i was accused of being in arrears in my first month. - This landlord is almost as useless and seedy as Fergus Wilson, and Fox & sons should be embarrassed to have him as a client.

Excellent service from Scarlett and David at Fox and Sons, Eastbourne. Both very friendly and efficient on the telephone and in person for property viewings. No delays or need to chase up for anything as they were so efficient unlike the opposite experience recrived with a number of other estate agents in Eastbourne regarding lettings. Wishing them both much success in their careers.

Arranged viewing, it was raining, we got early but that’s our problem. Then a minute before the arranged time a young guy got out of the car parked right in front of us. He’s from Fox & Sons. He’s been waiting in his car whole time knowing we were waiting outside the property in the rain. He could’ve said like, sorry we can’t show till the arranged time then we’d walk back to our car and wait.

We went to view a property with Fox & Sons and decided to put our property on the market. They arranged a visit by Callum to value our property and within a couple of days it was on the Market and viewing's had already started. The selling process seemed to take a long time due to being Leasehold but we were advised and supported by both Callum and Annabel who kept us calm and we carried on. Crawley Branch - Zero Customer Service!

Used Fox & Sons Crawley multiple times to rent one of our properties. They sent us a bill for lettings shortly after a new Tennent arrived which was incorrect and we naturally requested an accurate invoice. Silence for several weeks until we got a letter from a debt collector!! Wowser! We then spent time chasing unanswered calls and emails. The answer from the lettings team at Fox & Son Crawley was "it's nothing to do with us". Clearly it was everything to do with the Crawley branch as they can not do simple addition. No response from branch manager either - as expected. Would not recommend and will avoid in future!!

Did the Solicitors work for them!

4 months to move into an empty, chain-free property seems pretty fascicle but it wouldve been a hell of a lot longer had it not been for Curtis and his colleagues at Fox and Sons, Hastings. I had 6 months to port my mortgage or it wouldve doubled and my property wouldve been unaffordable. It was two certificates holding back the sell. My solicitors were hopeless, the sellers solicitors were just as bad but thankfully Curtis said if this isnt sorted within 24 hours Max is pulling out. 12 minutes later the certificates would be there in the morning and 12 hours later we were good to go. I get they want their cut, but I hear so many stories about estate agents taking their eye off the ball, and the buyer left chasing, thankfully that wasnt the case with Fox and Sons. I had to pay my solicitors £2,500, shouldve given it to these guys! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I asked to view a property last week and a viewing was booked. At the same time, I was asked to speak to their Morrgage Advisor which I agreed to despite having my mortgage all sorted. Today, I rang to cancel my mortgage appointment as I am busy. Then, I was asked to arrange different times for the mortgage appointment - bearing in mind I already have this all in place. When I said, let me view first and if I wish to proceed, I will speak to their Mortgage Advisor, I was told the property had an offer on it already. So why did you not tell me this at the start of the conversation? Am I only eligible to view if I also take a mortgage through your Mortgage Advisor? You seem keener on selling mortgage products than selling houses - what a pity! It will be one agent I will be avoiding in the future.

Was the best experience I’ve ever had with an estate agents, Chris there mortgage advisor was incredible he went above and beyond what we could have ever expected and even after we’d payed for his services he was still pulling late days just to help us get everything we needed ready wether it was mortgage related or not he even worked as hard as possible to get us out mortgage rate fixed before they sky rocketed we could not be more grateful even after we had closed and everything was sorted he still helped us with our life insurance as there was a mistake we made while filling it out, Joanne was also a massive help even though we didn’t buy our house through then in the end she would always get right in touch with us as soon as she found a house she thought we’d like and even pulled an extra day or 2 so we could view the houses due to our busy schedules when the time comes to sell we will definitely be going to her
