GoogleDuring a lease extension they lost my money internally, even though my solicitor provided proof, they would not attend my calls or emails for 6 weeks. My solicitor said he had never dealt with a more unprofessional company, after finding my payment, they then held me to ransom over the xmas period to complete, when that didn't happen they added a £1000 charge! They sure have cured me of wanting to buy leasehold again. And not even an apology. I don't know how they sleep at night!

GoogleWe bought our first home from Ray Vilka and I would like to give him my warmest recommendations. He is honest, diligent and easy to reach - he acted as a project manager throughout the process, coordinating the Mortgage Advisor, Solicitors, Surveyors, Sellers and the onwards chain. I will be looking for Ray at MG when I come to selling this property as I trust he would do an even better job for me as his paying client!

GoogleApplied to rent a 2 bed flat and the landlord absolutely loved to have me as a tenant, paid the holding deposit for around £350. Unfortunately the referencing company couldn't pass me after I jumped through several hoops to make it happen and Martin Gerrard just stole my money! I didn't back out of the deal last minute I wanted to move in so why take my deposit? I wrote long emails explaining my situation which they totally ignored. Absolutely disgusting people!! STEER CLEAR!!

We chose to go with Martyn Gerrard as they are the market leaders in our area and we had previously had good experiences with them as buyers. I was very pleased with our experience of them as sellers. They explained clearly what the process was and kept us informed throughout about visits and were sensitive about minimising disruptions. I would have liked to get a little more feedback from each visit automatically, but when asked they were always forthcoming and helpful. We appreciated the opportunity to meet after ~4 weeks for an overall review of the process. My only criticism is that I think they may have slightly over-valued the property, as all the offers we received were under this. However clearly it is an inexact science.

I am very happy with the services during this quite difficult pre-Brexit time on the market. The East Finchley branch of Martyn Gerrard truly delivers! Everyone is ready to sacrifice some extra time above the working hours to have your problem resolved.. A great job was done to let out the property with minimal loss for me as a landlady. I always feel that I am valued as a customer whether it is just a short telephone inquiry or a major problem with the tenants. I am very impressed.

Worst part was getting our deposit back. Agency tried to claim ridiculous deductions from our bond. We eventually raised a dispute with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, only for the letting agents to unnecessarily prolong the proceedings. Eventually, 3 months after moving out, we got all our deposit money after the Tenancy Deposit Scheme sided with us after seeing the ridiculous claim from the agents. If you go with these letting agents, prepare to fight for your deposit back.

I am very grateful for a quick and professional resolving of a problem with my tenant who was consistently late with rent pay, changed his mobile number and avoided any contact to discuss the situation. While I was fearing the worst - serving notices on the tenant, court proceedings for obtaining a possession order, bailiffs, etc., Area Letting Manager from Martyn Gerrard East Finchley managed to sort it out for me by meeting my tenant in person. New mobile number was noted, the situation explained in detail, hopefully there would be no more delays. A huge thank you for your professional approach! I am managing the property myself and still all the help was provided by my agent in whom I have full trust. Well done!

We have been house hunting for 9 months and always found Dario to be very helpful. When we found 83 Huntingdon Road he was very straightforward, helped negotiate £50,000 off the price of the property and then another £5,000 later in the process. After having had 6 houses fall through with other estate agents it was extremely refreshing to have Dario negotiate our house purchase - the entire process was transparent and he has always been brilliant to work with. .

He always had a solution to a problem, never giving up when it looked like the sale may fall through. His professionalism was appreciated, he communicated extremely well throughout the process. His network of Solicitors and understanding of the people involved is definitely an asset, acting as mediator on many occasions to overcome challenges. I have used Martyn Gerrard in East Finchley to let my property twice now. Each time they have done this efficiently and professionally, with no void period, achieving a great rent - and all done with a lot of charm! The letting staff have always been on hand to answer my queries - via email, phone and when I have popped into the office. I have really valued this as a new landlord. The fee they charge may be high in comparison to other letting agents but I think you get what you pay for in this instance. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to other landlords.
