We have just started the process of buying of a property with Church Robinson and already we know we are in safe hands. Never having been on a selling/chain position before, it is great to be reassured that work will happen behind the scenes. We have had the pleasure of meeting Nat and Raffaele so far, when it came to viewings and we love how at ease and friendly they are, they don't need to do the 'hard sell,' as you can see how enthusiastic and excited they are for the potential buyers to see the properties worth. Nat did an amazing job at babysitting our youngest while we looked around and he even fell asleep, it felt like we had known her years and also she made us feel she really knew us too. Raffaele is just an awesome chap, incredibly personable and knowledgeable and very caring towards us! Seeing people who really enjoy what they do and invest the time into getting to know their clients is invaluable. Courtney, Jade and Gary whom I've spoken too on the phone all are incredibly warm, professional and enthusiastic and we can't wait to continue the journey with you guys.

Just not a good service. The guy who valued our place said “I will be your contact right up until you move out”… we never got to speak to him again instead we got the sales guys who each time they came to a viewing had to ask us where the parking was obviously, no notes. On a good note the girl who had taken the house photo was amazing and did a really brilliant job as was the Saturday viewing girl very honest and had good sales skills.

The purchasing of the property started off ok enough. They strongly recommended to use the solicitors they usually work with under the premise that communication would be better and things would move faster because of their ongoing relationship. That did not happen and after a week and a half of not being able to get in touch with the solicitors we had to swap and start all over with a different firm. Vanessa from CR kept calling me over the phone accusing me of delaying the process, wasting people’s time and not being serious. She kept saying things like ‘the vendors went with you because you said you wanted a quick turnaround and look at what you are doing now’. Utterly unacceptable and unprofessional and THEIR fault actually for recommending solicitors that were so busy that just could not take anymore work on. The phone calls kept coming and she kept on being pushy despite us doing things as fast as we possibly could having just lost two weeks because of the solicitor issues. I would cry over the phone with the new solicitors (who were helpful and understanding) begging them to hurry so that CR would leave me alone. Vanessa even accused us of making the sellers’ children miss getting a place in the new school because they had no guarantee of moving out on time because of us delaying. We ended up contacting Mr. Church himself (can’t remember his first name), we explained everything that had happened and how we were being treated and he agreed to take over. From there on things went fine, he was very polite and responsive and eventually we completed and moved in. Since then I’ve heard from other people in the estate that have also purchased through them and it seems they have similar poor experiences. That being said, people who have sold with them were happy so I guess how things go with them depends what side of the transaction you are in.

Having attempted to sell our house with another agent and having no success and a frustrating experience, the difference with having Church Robinson market our house was night and day. Holly and James provided us with a detailed appraisal and strategy for the sale, with thorough knowledge of the market in the local area. Within 3 days of putting our house on the market, we accepted an offer and were confident that Church Robinson had secured us a buyer that was likely to not pull out. The remainder of the sale was eased with great communication from Dawn, who kept our solicitor on track. I could not fault Church Robinson at all and only wish I had gone with them first time around. I had no hesitation in recommending them to friends and neighbours who were interested in selling. The best estate agent in Didcot!

We've interacted with Archie several times and he has a great professional manner when visiting houses. He is knowledgeable about the house and has a good balance of being friendly whilst providing space for me and my partner to discuss our choices and opinions. Whenever we've been considering a property, Archie has always been available for a chat and very good at answering questions and following up in a timely manner. With our house sold and our next one not ready to move into Liz and Marta really helped ease the stress and burden of moving and renting. From the early consultation with Liz she understood our requirements and got the ball rolling very quickly. Marta continued the good work keeping us informed throughout the process. With days to go before moving the Landlord was required to do work to the plumbing and electrical systems in the property. If it wasn’t for the work of Liz and Marta behind the scenes our date to move in could have been jeopardised. All turned out well with the final paperwork completed the evening before moving in. After putting our property on the market 5 days before the first national lockdown in March 2020 we realised the selling process was not going to be as simple as we had hoped, and unfortunately we were right. However, after a few knock backs along the way we managed to sell our property through Church Robinson and move into our brand new family home in December. We sold recently, but through another agent. Church Robinson were handling the two other properties in the chain. The process hit a difficult patch and completion was compromised. Can't speak highly enough of the service that I received from the team at Church Robinson. I had attempted to view a property with them back in April and before I had the chance to view it, it had gone. Amazingly about a month later and just at the time my search had become a little more urgent I received a call from them advising me that a similar property had become available next door to the one I had wanted to view. Probably the best estate agent I have used, and I have used a few. Everyone I have spoken to has been professional and friendly and extremely helpful. My recent purchase has not been easy because of the chain and different needs from people. Not been easy is an understatement, and if it had not been for Dawn Pannell, I would have given up. She’s professional, welcoming, individual, and exactly the sort of person you’d want to trust with the sale of your house.
