From the onset Sam J and Zoe C have demonstrated compassion, sensitivity and empathy towards my family as sadly the property sale was due to a sudden bereavement. We made an appointment to view a property, they said there had been offers already on the property. We then noticed the next day it was no longer on the market. After arranging a day of for us both we decided not to travel the 100+ miles if it was sold, so we did something else only to get a text to remind us of the appointment. We are really dissapointed in the mix up as we really wanted the property. I did phone them up after the reminder they said our appointment was still going ahead, makes me wonder if it was just routine though and had already sold!

I needed to rent until I could find a property to buy in the area. I found a small one up one down cottage with kitchen/bathroom extension from the Dereham office. It wasn’t exceptionally clean when I took it over and it was quite damp, but as the carpets had just been professionally cleaned by the out going tenant I accepted it. When I finally bought a property I ended my my tenancy doing as asked and having carpets professionally cleaned and having the chimney swept and leaving the property in a similar condition to when I took it on, but alas the agents said that the landlord wanted over half of my deposit for ‘cleaning’. It took them over a month to come to this conclusion and when I refuted the claim there was a lot of emails back and forth, but they were still asking for this money. In the end we went to adjudication where I got All my money back as their claim was unreasonable. The process took three months from start to finish. May advise any prospective renters to take lots of photos on taking on the property (not relying on just the check-in inventory) to prove the condition you take the property on and don’t just accept their claims on check out. This felt like a scam to get extra money out of me.
