GoogleHIGHLY RECOMMENDED. PROFESSIONAL FROM START TO FINISH & COMPETITIVELY PRICED. Having spent an hour or so calling potential agents to let my property, with mixed results, I took a stroll along St Jame's Street and popped in to each one to inquire on prices. After a lot of "the person you need to speak to isn't here" I approached Martin & Co and was lucky enough to speak to the proprietor David McKnight. He immediately covered all my questions in a friendly but no nonsense approach giving me the confidence to instruct him to commence. Both the 'find a tenant fee' and 'management fee' were as competitive as you will find with the additional option of 'rent receipt' not offered by many. All staff were on the ball and I will be undoubtedly be using their services in the future.

GoogleI moved into a HMO with Martin and Co a couple of years ago. It was a really stressful experience which lead me to ask for my room to be re-marketed after several months. I have never had any issues renting elsewhere. I took the room under the premise there was secure parking. However there were more cars than spaces and after being unable to park my car securely most of the time, one day I woke up to find my car had been keyed all the way round causing £1600 worth of damage. It was a rough area. My bedroom was downstairs and the upstairs room above me wooden floored. The tenant in the room above me would frequently got out till late night mid week and come home drunk with friends keeping me awake till 3am. I start work at 6am. Ear plugs weren’t enough. I was constantly stressed and tired. After explaining all this to M C they had zero sympathy. Telling me I was using this a leverage to get out the property early. They made me feel like I was a problem and the relationship deteriorated quickly. They charged me a fee of something in the region of £140 to re-market the property. Within a week they accepted the first tenant who came to view even though they didn’t want to move in until the day my tenancy was due to end. I explained my situation to the manager who was really insensitive and obnoxious. This was the first time I’ve dealt with customer service style like this and hopefully the last. So bad was my experience I ended up moving out 4 months early while continuing to pay rent. I was vacant from the room for 4 months paying full rent to the cost of thousands of pounds and they couldn’t even let something so petty as a blown lightbulb go, threatening to withhold my deposit as a result. Thankfully I’m buying my own house next year. Tenants think twice.

GoogleMartin and Co have been such a joy to work with! They are managing our entire chain and nothing but open communication, quick responses and friendly manner from the sales team. We were previously with another agency and it was just an awful experience! To the point we reconsider selling. The sales team have been amazing and everyone has been vetted first unlike before! I would recommend using Martin & co, you are not just another house to them, they are in the buying abs selling experience together with you! The personal touch really goes along way :) They are well connected in helping you get the right people to handle the buying/selling lifecycle... we didn’t have a clue where to start!

GoogleI live in a lovely cottage from Martin & Co. The hard working team are friendly, co-operative and professional. Repairs are dealt with promptly especially urgent repairs. The company has assisted with options during this current cost of living crisis which is much appreciated. The pastoral attributes delivered throughout the pandemic and beyond is exemplary. In this day and age where some companies often don't get the time to visit their residents, Martin & Co is an exception. I feel fortunate to be in their care.

FacebookDerby Martin & Co, what an absolute joke of a company! Avoid this estate agents at all costs! We moved into a property in October and have had to call them numerous times to report problems, which they have done absolutely nothing about, they never call back! From giving the keys to workmen to let themselves in to flooding in the basement, right next to the electric board, which could of set the house on fire with me and my children in! We’ve had nothing but problems, would not recommend! Do not waste your time or money!!!

GoogleRung to enquire about a property listed today. I wanted to make a cash offer at the listed price without a viewing just like a property I bought from them 2-3 years ago. I was informed that they do not have the full particulars of the property and will not accept offers without a viewing which they can’t give me regardless at the present moment in time! Great sales service. If you are looking to buy a property quickly, efficiently and without any games then I would suggest you look elsewhere like myself!

GoogleDisappointed with Martin & Co estate agents, I had scheduled an appointment with them for a property viewing, and after waiting for an entire week, I arrived at the location only to receive a last-minute message from them informing me that the appointment had been cancelled. This lack of consideration for a client's time is completely unacceptable and reflects a level of unprofessionalism that I did not expect from a reputed agency. Such experiences erode trust and cause significant inconvenience, which I hope the agency will work to prevent in the future
