GoogleOn 12 August 2025 at approximately 9:35 am, I called Martin & Co Derby. I spoke to a staff member whose name I’m unsure of, but it sounded similar to “Maddy.” I made three separate calls, but each time the line was cut off. It felt as though the person did not want to engage with me or assist in resolving my concern.

GoogleTook me 10 calls to get through to someone. When I did start to speak to someone they placed me on hold without telling me and then just left me there for 10 mins and showed no sign of caring to pick up the phone and talk to me. Tried to call back a few times and another 5 calls later I finally got through to someone who managed to send me an application form.

GoogleWhen I lost my keys and couldn’t get in the property, Chris was very attentive and swiftly came to the property to assist me getting into my room! I couldn’t speak highly of the service Chris provided and I’m extremely grateful to him for coming out so late on a Friday evening!

GoogleMove in process was great and thanks to Maddie. I like the fact that checks have to be done before moving in and also, not so much of a bank breaking deposit is required. Thanks Martin&Co Derby but best can still be achieved.

GoogleFantastic experience from start to finish. I had a pretty tricky purchase, as it was probate and complicated further by the sale of my previous house and splitting the proceeds. However, everyone at Martin & Co was supportive, helpful, honest and kept their promises, which seems to be quite a rare thing these days! Thank you to everyone involved - I'd highly recommend Martin & Co if you're thinking of selling, purchasing or letting.

GoogleDIscrimination. First thing they are going to tell you is that they are not accepting housing benefit. Why is that? what are they scared of? the money is paid by the council, so what right do they have to refuse HB. Useless. Not even worth of the 1 star.
Martin&Co works directly with Housing Options and Derby Homes. We accept tenants who claim housing benefit or universal credit providing tenants are in receipt of sufficient benefit to afford the rent on certain properties. If you are claiming and wish to be considered please contact Housing Options or Derby Homes first.

GoogleSadly due to another letting agent dropping out of a let I had three days to find somewhere new. Having been let down I didnt have high hopes but Martin and Co were superb. Everything was sorted and with a day to spare! Many thanks go to Sian (hope I spelled that right) and the girls, they were superb, efficient and friendly. Any issues I have had in the three months I have been in my flat have been resolved quickly and efficiently. I will be staying with these guys for some time! I strongly recommend this team to anyone wanting a let.

GoogleGreat guys! This is a family run franchise run by Managing Director David and his wife and Director Sian. They were really helpful from the start after telling them about our desperate need for a house, they moved mountains to get us in on time even staying late on Saturdays and late in the evenings after a working day to help us out. If you need an honest estate agent to help with property, these are the guys to go and see.
