If you need an agency to sell your house with buyers which they’ll withdraw from the house purchase choose Brown and Merry. Now I’ve lost 600£ so far in solicitors money, the new house I supposed to purchase and a good 4.3% bank rate as I can’t transfer it back to my house, and the new rate since they gone up now will be 5.5%. Nobody will pay my money back and I’ll never use you again in my life.

I would recommend 100% Simply- I asked and they delivered! I needed a property ASAP and I asked for moving in date within less than 2 weeks, thinking it will be impossible to find property and move in so soon but they made it happen. The whole team seems lovely, however I must mention Stephen, who was my allocated estate agent, he was very helpful, delivered great customer service and made sure the whole process was stressless.

We have recently purchased a property through Jake Golder and team at the Hemel Brown and Merry. Jake acted professionally, swiftly and was completely open and honest with us; without compromising his duty to his client, the vendor. I would definitely feel comfortable whether I was a vendor or purchaser in the hands of the Browne and Merry Team. During our search he suggested appropriate properties to look at and didn't waste our time. Once terms were agreed, their attention to detail was second to none - with Kevin and Jamie following through on items blocking progress - they ensured swift liaison with the vendor and even recommending other options to remedy the issues. This ensured we achieved the purchase by the 30th September stamp duty deadline. We have now instructed Stephen Counden in their lettings team to let the property for us. I mainly dealt with Jake Golder, one of the sales team, who was truly amazing! His polite, compassionate and friendly nature made the whole process a true delight. Absolute mess of a company

Absolute mess of a company ! Tried to view a house - they said they didn’t have the keys and would phone back when they had them . Never phoned back and although we repeatedly asked for an update was told nothing . House was then sold without any communication with us . When I eventually spoke to the branch manager he was very rude and abrupt and continually talked over me . Think twice about selling your house with them as this seller could have possibly had a higher offer !!

I just received call from them regarding my property that is on the market, the "young adult" that called me told me my photos are terrible and the marketing is really bad. when asked why, there of course, wasn't much of an answer. I just find this totally brazen and un-cooth to put down small independent agencies with no substance behind your claims that "your marketing is better" when it quite frankly, is definitely not.

Very poor experience in trying to arrange a valuation. The Berkhamstead office didn’t take my contact details and then didn’t show, even though I phoned the day before travelling and also called into their high street office ahead of the supposedly arranged viewing. Also, the lady I spoke to in person in Berkhamsted was dismissive and rude. This agent can’t get the basics right! Such as shame as I had a fantastic rental experience a few years previous with the same agency! I think there are better, more proactive online and high street agents to choose from.

Brown and Merry Watford have been amazing from our first contact with them. Hanan from valuations was professional, responsive and very insightful, she got our house up and online very quick. Jake from sales managed to sell the house without any official viewings for asking value which was incredible! Jamie has been superb throughout the process. 6 months of negotiations (no fault of B+M) and countless set backs did not discourage Jamie and he was always keeping us in the loop as well as providing useful updates. Without him and B+M I am confident the sale would not have gone through and I cannot thank the team enough for all the work they have put into our case. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
