I gave them my number.. Big Mistake.

I asked for an evaluation.. this was fine.. no problems.. but I chose a different agent and now 4 months later they still regularly phone me up, once even saying "hello , this is your estate agent".. errr NO... they are abusing the fact that I gave them my number and now I cannot get rid of them.. Wish I had never done so. I am now apart of their ' any phone call is work' policy. B&M are owned by connels and the BBC has a page about their dubious sales tactics. They have a tv show about it also.

From your straightforward pitch, and advice on photos and preparing house for sale, to getting it up on the website, every interaction, was professional, pleasant, and simple. They conducted the viewings, which imho keeps the personal, out of it, and I sure do not know how to do their job. I had an offer 1 week after the property went live, and confirmed one day later!!!! Be careful with this agency…the agents are asking for part of deposit to “check your references “and they will tell you that you don’t pass and you will lose the money .They don’t provide you with information about the rejection which I find normal to have because you pay for them.Agent name that I deal is Eliot…very kind but also very sharp when you ask about explanations

Not all heroes wear capes…! Jake went out of his way in helping sort out the heating of our property, even though he works in the sales team as there was no one in the letting team that was available. He took upon himself and went the extra mile for us. Our thermostat batteries were out of order and he went to Tesco’s to purchase batteries and made sure that we have a working heating system - Really appreciate your help Jake! Second to none service Jake!

Jamie was great when we met him to take over the sale of our home. We found communication along the way a little disappointing but team pulled together as the sale progressed and Jake was great!! Really helpful and kept us updated which helped keep the stress levels down. One thing we will say is that we found the solicitors recommended really difficult and wouldn’t recommend them but we got there in the end!! Possibly the worst estate agents I have ever come across.. very little communication from them after viewings to which I sat in on a few and they hadn't a clue on how to sell a property, constantly left lights on when viewings were conducted(whilst I was at work I even left notes by the door to remind them to turn off lights)and was then told by Kevin that this never happened.I quickly realised after 3 months how appalling this branch of Brown and Merry were and swiftly gave them 28days notice I went with another local estate agents in Hemel Hempstead and sold within 5 weeks (full asking price) I have also seen other properties on the development where I live still on the market with them after eight months I wonder if this is because there sales rate per month is very poor indeed...Avoid at all costs!!
