I was looking for a flat on short notice, and Ellie showed me 3 great options the very next day. She was really positive and helpful, and we ended up finding a place that I’m really excited about.

The team at Foxtons did an excellent job getting our house listed and sold. They made the entire process very smooth. They negotiated a fair price with the buyer and then followed up effectively with all stakeholders through to completion. Chris Read in particular was very experienced and knowledgeable about realistic prices and practices in the area. Plaudits as well to Shanice Evans in the Norbury office and Mili Lambad from the Croydon office.

As a Director of a property inventory company, I have had the pleasure of working with Hassan from Foxtons Mile End for many years, and I can genuinely say that he is an absolute pleasure to work with.

Seb and Chris are fantastic. As first-time buyers you can imagine that we had a number of questions and nothing was too much trouble. Both were extremely communicative and we felt supported by them during the whole transaction. We will certainly be recommending to our family and friends. Thank you!

Terrible service

Terrible service. Very disappointed. I found a short let property on their portal myself, the agent (Amir Abbasian) kept suggesting either awful properties, or ones over my budget. They were very quick to call back and close the deal but once the deal was made, I never once was able to speak directly to my agent Olivia Taylor, or anyone from Foxtons again. Repeated messages and email queries went unanswered. Every two weeks a new person would be in touch and all my queries would be ignored. The property was nice and in good condition but i paid Foxtons 350 pounds for the end of tenancy clean, and was slapped with a 600 pound cleaning claim on my deposit. The property was never cleaned and my landlord claimed the charges from my deposit. at least a dozen emails later, I still don't have a protection document number for my deposit. I was told my deposit was protected. I ws told I would be provided an inventory upon moving in. I was told the place would be cleaned at the end of my tenancy, for which i paid. None of the above happened. Still waiting for part of my deposit to be returned, even though they said it was transferred three weeks ago and should take 5 to 7 days to be credited. I've settled the dispute with my landlord now, even though it is extortion, but it seems even he was being cheated by Foxtons.

Foxton’s in Norbury Louis Bremner _ You’re simply the best! We’ve had an outstanding experience with Foxtons in Norbury. From our first meeting with George who spent the time talking us though the process in a clear and relaxed but professional way. I have nothing but praise for Louie who dealt with the selling of our house. His approach was highly professional and proved himself to be an excellent communicator. When showing clients around our house he was respectful insuring that buyers treated our home with respect. Louie’s work ethic was excellent, even after our house was sold, he was still available to support us. Selling our house and preparing it for viewings can be a stressful time however, I thank Louie for his support in making the process to go so smoothly. I would highly recommend FOXTONS in Norbury.

Chris Read did a fantastic job selling our house at the end of last year. We decided to go with Chris because he was the agent we bought the house off a few years earlier and remembered how good he was to deal with. Chris managed to get us a number of offers on our house within three days of it going live on the market. All of them within or above the range he had predicted so we were not disappointed. It was the period after we accepted the offer where Chris was invaluable. The sale process was not simple and there were a number of issues arising, including a potential collapse in the chain. Chris was key to keeping the sale alive any everyone focussed on proceeding. I am certain we would not have completed on the sale without him on board. Would certainly recommend him and will be using him again in the future. Thanks again Chris!!

We sold and brought our property through Chris at Foxtons. His service is outstanding. From the very start Chris is polite, friendly, honest and gives 100% attention with great communication and keeping us in the loop. We was very impressed with Chris when were potential going to lose the sale of our property. Chris was able to think quick and come with a solution that suited all parties and keep the chain alive. We can’t thank Chris enough in helping selling our property and find our dream home. 😀 If you are looking to sell your property I would definitely recommend Chris.

The highest standards of service from start to finish - we really cannot praise the Norbury branch of Foxtons highly enough. The team, particularly Chris and Khan, were so attentive and generous with their time and expertise - it really felt like nothing was too much trouble. They sold our property and helped us enormously with our search, always conducting themselves with the utmost professionalism. Their knowledge of the local area and the system of buying a house was second to none, and they supported us throughout the process. Thank you for all that you did for us - we will definitely be working with you again in the future!

Selling a house for the first time is a very nerve wrecking experience. I really felt like a fish out of water trying to find the right agent for the timeline and price I wanted. When Chris came to see the house, he had 100% confidence that he can sell it quickly and was realistic yet ambitious about the price! I was thrilled that they had viewings lined up before we even listed the house and it had an agreed offer within a week (even before it was listed)! He and Khan kept in touch through the whole process and made sure that everything finished in a timely manner! Thank you! Highly recommend them! It’s true they take more commission, but they are motivated and back themselves with direct actions!

Try to avoid unless you'd love to lose your money. We had more than £1100 deposit. We lived there for less than 2 years. Around April they gave us notice to move out. When I called them to ask why I've been told it's landlords decision and they don't know why. When I suggest we can pay more, straight away he told me new price which was higher for 85%! I could understand rise of the rent but 85% it's unfair. When we moved out they refuse to give us our deposit back. They said we damaged kitchen units (never been replaced so they're over 20 years old...) I asked around 5 times to compare their photos before we moved in with ours when we moved out (see attached photos of "destroyed" kitchen units) but they never replied. They also deducted £350 due to professional cleaning of the flat. Doesn't matter that they didn't even hoover flat when we moved in, fridge stank like dead rats (it took my girlfriend 3 days of everyday cleaning to make it better). My girlfriend is cleaner and she did even too much comparing how they gave us the flat but we've been told it needs to be professionally cleaned so remember to prepare £350 for professional cleaners when you will move out. Last deduction was for a week of rent back in November. We didn't pay it because main drain pipe was blocked on outside of our flat so we couldn't use the only bathroom. It took them week(!) to fix it. Week of struggling with basic human needs. We never felt humiliated like this before. Finally after week (and many, many calls both to agency and building management) they send plumbers which fixed the problem in around 2 hours. It was that simple and yet took them week to do so. If that would happen to anyone from foxtons they will sort it out same day but me and my girlfriend can suffer. We had to drive around to family and friends so we can use toilet and have a shower and yet we have to pay for that "pleasure". Another things worth mention: -few months after we moved in the whole building turned into construction site. Dust, vibrations, noises but most important we lost access to parking spot which was included in the rent! The renovation of the building took around 1.5 year. First week after it was finished they send us notice to move out :) perfect scam because if we would knew about refurbishment of the building then we would never rent it. -arrogant stuff (except maybe 2 people) especially Property Manager Nicole Smith. Never before I met so unpleasant, arrogant and racist person in my whole life. - when they ask us to make viewings I gave them time at evenings 2 days a week. Most of working people (like me and my fiancée) have free time after work so that would be perfect for both parties. Also I don't want anyone to walk around our flat while we're not there. I think it's normal unless the flat would be completely empty but it wasn't. Instead I heard they have keys and they will access flat anytime they want (what a hit into out privacy and security...) great response to a tenants but after I explained them that in agreement access to flat via keys is reserved only for emergency situations they let go for a while but we went through this conversation another few times. Such an arrogant people it is just hard to believe. It's not like I told them I won't let anyone in. I agreed for viewings and let them add me to what's app group so it was easier for them to book viewings but the only condition we had was to make viewing while me or my girlfriend will be at home. I could write a book about renting from Foxtons but those few examples should give you an idea how they can act like. I don't know how they treat other tenants but that's how they treated us. We will fight back for our deposit as we worked hard for that money and won't let them have it for that nonsense reasons without showing any good proof. Sorry for my English but it's not my native language. Stay well whoever read it!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the outstanding service Foxtons Norbury branch provided in selling our house. We were impressed by how quickly our property was sold. We are delighted with the result and couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism and politeness shown by Chris, Louis, and the team. They were knowledgeable and efficient throughout the process. Chris and Louis were always available to answer our queries and kept us informed at every step of the process. The communication was excellent, and we felt like we were in good hands throughout. We would highly recommend Foxtons to anyone looking to sell their property.

used to be good but ever since the intro of the renters rights acts, property management service has dropped off a cliff. This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.

I feel that the experience was negative

I put my flat up for sale with my Foxtons, I was going to go with another agent but they were very pushy and said how they managed to sell better than anyone so I went with them. I was under the impression my flat would go straight up but after I signed the contract it took them 2 weeks to take photos and put them up, in the meantime they put up a video of the flat from a mid-term inspection where it looked absolutely disgusting. I had never seen this video and I don't see why it would be allowed to be put up without my permission, I asked for it to be removed, they didn't and it took them nearly the 2 weeks to remove it. The photos they took were adequate but not particularly great, I was pretty disappointed. I felt that the price was extremely over inflated (like all their prices) but respected they knew better than me, but when every single person gave feedback that it was way overpriced and no one showed any interest I became quite embarrassed. I found it very hard to contact my sales agent and just gave up most times after leaving numerous messages. I heard from my agent 10 times more before I signed with them than I did during my contract. When I gave notice 28 days before the end after having no interest, I was reminded how they are the number one and warned that going to another agent would not solve the issue. Their commission is so much more than everyone else but I feel my experience with their sales agent was extremely poor and I can't believe I had no interest in my nice flat. I feel I made a mistake going with them and would caution anyone thinking of them. Also I rented my flat with them for nearly 2 decades and my last tenant emailed them notice which they said they did not receive until the next day so they extended the end date to one day beyond the end of the month, they then charged me a management fee of £9 for the one day (and she paid £1 something rent for that one day). I will never rent with them again due to the complete lack of transparency with regards to money. (As for the excuse that the housing market is quiet I put my other property up for sale at the same time and it sold within 2 weeks, but then again the photos were really good and the price was reasonable).

Do not rent through Foxtons

If you are a renter, please do not use Foxtons. They are a scammy horrible company that only serves the interests of the landlord. They rented us an overpriced disgusting dump by using old out-of-date photos in the rental ad, and locked us into an abusively restrictive contract that made it impossible to leave the horrible dump that ruined my mental health. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these money hungry scammers.

Extremely poor experience with Foxtons

Extremely poor experience with Foxtons. We were left without proper cooking facilities for 25 days, which had a major impact on our daily life and forced us to spend extra money on food. A functioning cooker is a basic part of any home, yet this was not handled with the urgency it deserved.

Louis and Chris made the process of buying my first home such a breeze! They were a pleasure to communicate with and were always super friendly and polite. Louis understood exactly what we wanted and was absolutely fantastic in showing us properties that met the brief. He went over and above what was expected and indulged our whims of seeing the property on multiple occasions. I’m extremely grateful and would highly recommend them to everyone!

We had never dealt with such a friendly, professional, kind and estate agent until Aleksandrs jegorovs showed us around home. Alex was patient, helpful and honest and listened to our needs. Fantastic experience

I had a fantastic experience with Foxtons. Despite a challenging market, they secured a buyer for our property within just two weeks of listing. The team was highly organised, professional, and, most importantly, extremely responsive. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and approachable, which gave me real peace of mind throughout the process. When you’re under pressure to sell and move things forward, that level of support and responsiveness makes all the difference. I would highly recommend Foxtons.
