Fantastic agents, who deliver a much more person centred service unlike other agents who try to cram as many people as possible for viewings, and inevitably make buying a house a stressful experience, due to the amount of offers in competition. Bradley has been amazing. Incredibly friendly, approachable and genuine. He called us up after each viewing to get our thoughts on the properties, and if there was an issue he would chase it up. He is the reason we have managed to buy our perfect home, after taking the time to call us and book us in for a viewing, due to a cancellation. Thanks for all your help Bradley, and all at Mcfarlane. After a bad experience dealing with the on line company “ strike “ who were hopeless - my confidence in estate agents was not good . I needn’t have worried from my initial viewing with Tim , to follow up calls about my offer were dealt with attentively and professionally. The follow up service from Christina was equally courteous , helpful and proactive . Overall a good experience . To all prospective sellers - use the local professional guys such as McFarlane - as a buyer I would actively avoid the online firms such as Strike - you really do get what you pay for as proven with this house purchase .

I tried selling my house with a, supposedly, leading Cricklade Estate Agent for over a year but they failed dismally. Having spoken to Tim at length, I instructed McFarlane to sell it and, bang, 2 days later it was sold. The McFarlane Cricklade team is the epitome of everything you could want in an Estate Agent - well-connected, knowledgeable and professional. I was struck by their interpersonal skills which is what you want in someone representing your property to others. Tim & Tom were both highly proactive estate agents and attracted a lot of interest in the property which culminated in a sale after 48hrs of them marketing it. Silvia then ensured a meticulous progression of the sale, updating me on a daily basis. McFarlane should be the Estate Agent of choice if you want a professional and proactive team to represent you. A thoroughly pleasant experience all round.

Selling our unique house was tricky but the Tim & Tom team sorted it out and they helped us with viewings through a global pandemic for which we are very grateful. Professional, responsive, and most importantly patient throughout. Our sale was the most stressful and lengthy sale ever. [Our buyers solicitor was something else! ] Silvia was always on hand to mop our tears, wipe our eyes and listen to my rantings! when our exchange happened 2hrs before our removal vans left our drive the team cheered along with us! [we like to think it wasn't just that they knew that they would have some space on their phone lines!] They earned every penny as far as we are concerned.

McFarlane Estate Agents are QUALITY, they are the best Estate Agent I've ever dealt with, Jacqueline Marchant-Currie especially. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. Jacqueline provided significant support to me during an extremely long, stressful, complicated situation with a tenant. When I requested something she sent it to me almost instantly and she accompanied me whenever I asked her. Her commitment to clients is always above and beyond. The whole team are professional, efficient and friendly. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile and very much a "can do" attitude. Communication is key and they keep you in the loop throughout the process - I absolutely cannot fault them.

Have been lied to every time ive used them

I was manipulated into putting an offer into a property when i was lied to about the reason the last sale fell through. This resulted in a £1600 bill for me. Complaints procedure dont comment and dodge specific queries. State lying is not tolerated and then there are no actions taken to prevent it. Make sure you get everything in writing when you talk to them.

We called this company to get our house valued and potentially listed for sale. Made an appointment with Julian. He never turned up. Called the office, somebody called me back and said Julian was meant to call me to cancel as he had to go home. He never did. They said he would ring me on the next day to see if we can rearrange, again never did. It fills me with dread imagining people like this trying to sell my house. I would stay well clear.
