Please read to the end thank you I would highly recommend MOV8 everything has been so easy great communication everything explained clearly thank you Hayley for all your help. I am amending this as on completion of conveyancing my daughter moved in and the previous owner took the smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarm and MOV8 did NOTHING so we have to buy them. It is illegal to sell a property without them. So buyer beware if using these COWBOYS I've removed 4stars as I had to leave 1🤬🤬🤬you will also notthey don't have the decency to reply. I wonder why🤔🤔🤔

We were unfortunate to have one of the worst experience with this solicitor firm. We were given a trainee who had limited experience. Our move was delayed just before Christmas with less than 24hours notice and it took them 6 weeks to agree a new date. We were told that it was because someone in the chain had gone on holiday which seems implausible. Things were such last minute they didn’t send standard observations till 4weeks in to the 8 week lead time which led to them chasing things right till the last minute. Then 1 week prior to our new move date we found our mortgage had lapsed as the solicitor had not actioned something they should have. We had to get a new deal in less than 24hours. We complained and to date have no answers to any of the issues. It was escalated to a senior manager Mr Gordon who said he would provide a response in ten working days. Here we are 6 weeks later and multiple chasers and he has not responded. We have taken it directly to the SLCC. It’s been a horrendous time and the firm were nothing short of shocking. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Easily the best Estate Agent in Edinburgh! Fixed upfront prices that were lower than we expected, excellent professional service and great technology for appointments and feedback etc. The brochure and photographs were superb and the partners they use for the home report were excellent with a quick turn around time. It could be that because this was our first purchase that we didn't know what to expect however, they knew we were first time buyers, so perhaps could have answered our queries faster and been more responsive.

After my sale fell through I cut my losses and remarketed with another estate agent and solicitor. I couldn't face the stress of dealing with MOV8 any longer. Communication is the problem. There is no opportunity to meet face to face so you are reliant on emails and phone calls. The system is extremely inefficient. Most emails go to junk. My first agent handling my purchase warned me of this. There is no such thing as a direct line to anyone although you will be told otherwise. My second agent handling my sale expressed surprise that I couldn't get through on the number she gave me. Expect to spend half a day trying to get through to your agent by phone. Expect to repeat yourself a lot as agents often don't listen carefully enough. I found this extremely irritating. You will be dealing with multiple agents. The final agent handling the conveyancing didn't bother to identify herself as my case manager. I worked out who she was and contacted her. She should have phoned me to tell me that my sale had fallen through. Instead she sent an email which I later found in junk. I finally got through to her on the phone after 11am the following day. I have received an apology from MOV8 for this. Two other estate agents have identified ways to improve on the marketing I received. MOV8 was described to me as an example of lazy estate agency. Other agencies operate in the evenings and at weekends. Limited availability was a further frustration. I am often not in a position to be available by phone during the day. I made a big mistake employing MOV8 and have wasted a lot of money as a result of not doing my homework. A very upsetting experience. The billing and credit dept are much more efficient. Their bills appeared in junk too but I'm now geared up for this. Be very careful of the upfront fee and one stop shop approach. Look very carefully at any documentation.

disgraceful service, my partner travelled over an hour and stood for 40 minutes in the freezing cold evening waiting for an agent to turn up to give him the viewing he had been promised. we both called multiple times within office hours to receive no response and no agent turned up. we found out while waiting for the agent to turn up that the property had been sold and we hadn’t even received a courtesy call to let us know that or cancel the viewing. no apology from MOV8 either, they blatantly lied and said that they had called and emailed multiple times but neither was received.
