First time selling and buying a new house, I cannot recommend Mov8 enough, From the initial valuation, appointments were very flexible, Fraser was on time and knew his stuff about the area and did exactly what he said he would. At this point we were unsure if we were putting our property on the market, No pressure at all from Mov8 after valuation. I had a few other valuations and none were to the standard and Detail Mov8 did. We required everything done quickly which was no hassle for them, Pictures done and looked good, For Sale sign, I did request another which again was no problem and up within days. A special Thanks to Rachel Curran, our property Negotiator, having never done this before, we asked lots of question and were no problem for Rachel. Anytime I called to ask a question, I had Rachels direct number which I always got through to her on, if she was not in, she called back quickly. Our house sold within 14 days over Christmas and New year which was incredible, Viewings were made easy and Rachel spoke to us most days, on numerous times, she actually apologised for calling too much, however we thought it was great getting this much attention to detail from Rachel. If I ever sell or buy a house again, it will be with Mov8. Oh.. and they were cheaper than other quotes but gave a real 5 star service Thank you again, Ian

All viewings were arranged over the phone and the client portal worked well with all viewings shown in the diary along with any feedback.I had the flat redecorated during the sale period and MOV8 were happy to re do the photographs at no extra charge. I’ve never sold a flat before, so I don’t have anything to compare to but it was really smooth with Mov8 from start to finish. Initial Valuation appointment: really well prepared and knew the market in our local area. Gave us confidence in our property and in Mov8. Admin: so user friendly and a modern approach, we could submit ID via our smartphones which is what we needed because we didn’t have time to travel in and wait to photocopy documents, Marketing and home report: as with the valuation, they just knew all the right things to highlight and take into account to showcase our property well and give a realistic account of the condition and value. Viewing Appointments: loved these guys, they got the right people viewing our property at times that worked for us. Negotiator: top marks. We knew what we wanted and they got us more because they had great advice and excellent negotiating experience.

I have used Mov8 twice in the last 3 years. Both times I used them to sell my property and buy the next property. Maeve McDade was brilliant in particular on both occasions. Mov8 have a dedicated team of staff members that have helped me through various stages of buying and selling. What I really liked was being able to pick up the phone and speak to the person assigned to my case or in their absence, someone else that could deal with query. All in all, I would highly recommend them and be sure to use them in the future.

When I was getting quotes from other local estate agents they warned me: “even if you use Yopa for selling your house, you should still use a local solicitor for conveyancing.” I ignored this advice and took the risk and, excepting some issues outwit the control of MOV8, it went very well. Tara-Mae at the Edinburgh office must be praised in particular for being attentive and responsive throughout the sale and onward purchase. I only deduct one star because you mustn’t be fooled by Yopa’s estimate for MOV8’s fees. Whilst MOV8 are fixed-price and (in solicitor terms at least) quite fair, there will inevitably be complications in a house move that will increase the end invoice. But they’re still better value than any local solicitor though, and with great customer service. Very highly recommended.

Not one of my friends wanted to recommend a lawyer to me when buying my first home, as they all didn’t have good experiences, I was giving MOV8s details from my mortgage advisor and just took the chance. Mov8 have been really good at keeping me informed in advance of property viewings and without any issues, updates to the listing quickly when needed. Whilst it took longer than expected to sell my property, this has been due to the summer months being a bit slower. It was particularly helpful having Kai set realistic expectations to buyers and securing the best price for the property. Kai also showed his genuine excitement when we secured an offer which made me feel valued as a client. Ruairidh and Hannah have also been extremely helpful. I’m looking forward to concluding the sale with Mov8 and communication amongst the team has been great.
