Throughout our tenancy we had to constantly chase for updates, and several issues with the property were never fully addressed. We maintained the home to a high standard and left it in a clean, well‑kept condition, yet our landlord is now refusing to release our deposit.

GoogleDespite an initial negative experience where we enquired about a property and were asked to submit information to be considered but failed to receive any update or response despite several follow-up enquiries, our experience with Martin & Co (Jess and Verity in particular) was nothing short of brilliant (we put the first experience down to the understandable issues the staff likely faced post-COVID and the subsequent industry boom that followed). Our second enquiry, for the property we are currently in the process of securing, was dealt with swiftly, and in a very personal, friendly manner. Communication was concise and timely. Jess was helpful and was a great source of support during this stressful time of us trying to relocate internationally and she is a credit to her employer. Thank youPositiveProfessionalism

GoogleThis is the first time I chose to rent from Martin & Co despite being in Falmouth for the past 3 years. My experience with the staff compared to other similar companies was amazing. Every single email or telephone call was handled with friendliness and extremely quick responses. Joanne was the agent who handled my enquiry at the very beginning with nothing but professionalism, quick responses and results. After that Beth took over the second part of the process which was also handled very fast and efficiently with a lot of help. Although I had some problems during the process they were solved almost immediately by the staff. Overall a great and quick experience. Update: After a year with Martin & Co I am still just as happy with the service provided even though my tenancy is about to end. Ruby and Sarah, the 2 agents responsible for handling my tenancy have always been extremely responsive and have dealt with any enquiry or problems I have had very quickly. Overall this has been an amazing experience! I will definitely try to rent with them again!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleMartin & Co have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and I couldn't possibly recommend them more! My best friend and I are moving from Canada and of course the process of moving across the world can be overwhelming, but Liam has made the whole journey so much easier on us. Liam made sure all of our questions had answers and gave us so much advice on the moving process - I can't imagine doing it without him! If you're looking for a letting agency that makes you feel cared for and welcomed in your new home, you've found it with Martin & Co!

GoogleIt was a great move renting our house with Martin & Co Falmouth. I thoroughly recommend them, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We have quite a straight forward rental situation in a new property that we thought we could manage by ourselves. When we started we decided to try with Martin & Co in our first year and see how it went. It turned out to be the best decision we made. There were several unexpected issues that arose and Martin & Co helped us smoothly navigate them. They have a great network of tradesmen to call on when something needs fixing and maintenance issues were quickly sorted. They acted as an independent advisor for both tenants and ourselves. The staff are always pleasant, friendly and well informed about the progress of jobs. Thank you Jon Felicia and all the team.

Any problems during our tenancy have been resolved as soon as reported and we have always found the staff to be friendly, efficient and professional. When we recently began searching for new accommodation, the help of Liam Jefferies has been invaluable, alerting us to appropriate properties, arranging viewings and guiding us through the application process. GoogleThis is the second year in a row we have used Martin & Co to help us find a suitable property. Being relatively picky, it means we need to view a couple before proceeding with somewhere that feels right. This is the second time we’ve been looked after by Liam and he does such a wonderful job. Finding a new home can be stressful, especially with a baby, but he always meets us with a smile, is super friendly and makes us feel really at ease and relaxed! If only he could be our personal estate agent every time we need to move! Couldn’t recommend enough!! Thanks so much Liam!

Morrisons Village Square Runcorn has rapidly gone to the ruins, fridges are empty most of the time, limited stock on the shelves, there has been no sugar on the Costa Machine for 3 weeks now, I asked can you not use a bag of sugar for the coffee? The reply was, we are not allowed, i usually spend £30+ in there everyday before work only to find i need to go to another shop to get what Morrisons dont have in stock, its absolutely degrading by management from Morrisons to limit the stock availability, I must refrain from using that store again

She made sure all of the contracts were signed over as quickly as possible and made the whole process a breeze. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

My opinion is to STAY WELL CLEAR!!After being a tenant under Martin&Co Wokingham my personal advice to anyone would be that I would NOT recommend Martin&Co. In my personal experience and dealings with Martin&Co and their director I was left to feel as if I was a second-class citizen!! In my personal experience even going as far as stating that we had no rights.In my personal experience with Martin&Co and dealings with Erica and her team they persisted to in my opinion try to threaten and intimidate, again in my opinion and based off of my personal experience, I was left to feel they used underhand practices to get the outcome they desire.Personally, as a tenant who values my right to privacy, and right to quiet enjoyment as set out in tenancy agreements. I did not feel as if that was respected or acknowledged by Martin&Co Wokingham. In my experience they contacted me outside of working hours numerous times no matter how many times I requested them not to, I was left to feel harassed. In my experience numerous times Erica phoned/emailed myself when she wanted to, personally I don't want to take calls as late as 8:30pm regarding such matters however I had no choice with Erica. In my personal experience they even went as far as turning up to the home without notice!!In my personal experience our deposit was not kept in a safe manner and in my opinion was not dealt with professionally and fairly at the end of the tenancy. After numerous requests surrounding our deposit, I'm left to personally feel it is not something Erica and her team at Martin&Co sadly seem to believe in. In my experience our deposit was threatened several times and again in my opinion used as leverage whilst they continued to withhold up to date prescribed information that they were required to provide us with during our tenancy.In my experience they did not deal with our deposit requests and took the complete allowed time to reply to any requests made from the governing body. They made numerous claims which would seemingly double the following day, I was left to feel as if these were fictitious claims. For us personally it took 4 months to reclaim the deposit when the governing body dismissed many of said claims. In my opinion I would hope and expect a company like Martin&Co to deal with this in a more professional and timely manner. My advice based on my experience is if you're a landlord that wants to know their property is in the safe hands of professionals, I would highly advise staying clear!! During my dealings with Erica and her team they weren't the best with paperwork and made numerous errors in the actual paperwork they did prescribe!! In my personal experience they left confidential paperwork with high value in an unsecured environment and the team could not even find it at one point. In my experience during this time a staff member was in my opinion incredibly rude to us, even though they could not find our confidential paperwork through their own errors. In my opinion and experience Martin&Co they struggled to acknowledge most of tenancy law, except that which benefited their own motives.In my experience they took no accountability of their numerous errors and tried to claim the incurred costs of their what I deem as amateur mistakes out of our deposit. In my opinion these mistakes came down to a lack of knowledge within the team and leadership, in my opinion this isn't the behaviour of an honest upfront company, and they should rather deal with their mistakes in a more professional manner.

We viewed a property in channel view and clearly this is the worst and most unprofessional agents in the world!The lady Gina was so rude and unprofessional she struggled to even greet us when we arrived the property turned her back on us walked off.We really liked the property and made an offer of £1625 which its clear to see that the agent didn’t know or couldn’t be bothered to present our offer to the landlord and provided no feedback whatsoever regarding why another offer had been accepted.If your a landlord or tenant Avoid this agent at all costs.Im glad we didn’t get the place now knowing what kind of Rude and unprofessional agency would be managing my tenancy!!Disgusting service!

TrustpilotA disgusting way to treat a new mum!
My daughter gave birth to twins in February and I think the stress she has been put under due to incompetence of Martin & Co St Annes is disgusting. In short, she has been reporting damaged pipes at her rented property which is managed by Martin & Co which cause her garden to flood on a daily basis since the start of January. We have lost count of the amount of times we had follow up this repair to no avail. On Saturday the whole drain fell from the wall leaving a gaping hole and no way of drawing her bath, sink, washing machine. Her neighbour is understandably concerned about the water seeping in to his garden, which is loading more stress on to her and still no sign of a repair man. I am absolutely astounded and furious that my daughter has been caused so much unnecessary trauma at an already stressful time in her life and let’s not think what could have happened if my grandsons were outside in their pram when the whole cast iron pipe fell. The staff at this branch have no taken any responsibility, Jack, Caitlin and Jenna have all dealt with my daughter regarding this issue and not one person has taken the initiative or the responsibility to sort this for her.

If I could give a minus star I would. There is a property with their board outside. I t is not listed on their website. I have enquired 3 times to find out the cost of the property and I have received no response. Very unprofessional. You'd have thought with the market slowing down that they would be keen to engage in conversation. I've never used them in the past and I never will in the future.

We also found it easy to get in contact with people who could help with any questions we had, and the team were very helpful in arranging for key collection. It was a lovely surprise to receive a 'Welcome to your New Home' gift box too!

We have been trying to sell our house through the Westbury branch of Martin & Co since February 2022, but unfortunately have had 2 sales fall through days before exchanging contracts. We have this week just accepted another offer and are proceeding with the sale which we hope this time will reach completion. During this time we have been very pleased with the service provided by Martin & Co, and despite our disappointments when sales have fallen through at the last minute they have always promoted our property well and priced it realistically in order to achieve a sale. We have also used Martin & Co when viewing properties to buy, and have always found their staff helpful when booking viewings and being shown properties. One particular member of their staff, Kerri Gunning, stands out as being especially worthy of credit as she has shown countless perspective buyers around our property during the last 12 months, and we have also viewed many different properties with Kerri resulting in an offer being accepted on a new build property that we liked. Kerri was a fairly new employee to Martin & Co when we first put our house on the market, and over that time we have seen her develop into a confident and no doubt highly valued member of their team. She has always shown an open and friendly approach to her job and her personality has proved an asset when ever we have met her.Jim and Annette Wilson both wish her well in the future.

GoogleI cannot rate Martin & Co highly enough. As a team, they have gone above and beyond to help me find a new place to rent, and Ruby has been in constant contact with me with updates throughout. Finding somewhere to rent at the moment is hard enough, let alone with a dog, but the team at Martin & Co said they'd find me somewhere and they delivered on that promise. Extremely polite, patient and professional.

I went to a house viewing in Haslington and the agent was very poor he wasn’t friendly or welcoming and hardly spoke to my self, when my partner inquired about a property he was just getting ignored even though we were very interested in the property and the company still hasn’t got back to us about it.
