I received very good service from Sharpes. Jan in particular, who showed me around and conducted the viewing, was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He was able to answer all my questions and explain things clearly. I booked a viewing at the last minute but the whole team were very helpful in organising it. Moving to a new city and finding somewhere to live can be stressful but I was put at ease and able to relax with the very good service offered.

We live in South Africa and have rented out our London flat through Sharpes for the last 8 years. We have had some fantastic tenants through them and mostly the process is smooth and seamless, even living so far away. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking to let a property.

GoogleTerrible Customer Service. We saw a property on Wednesday last week. We liked it and wanted to have a second viewing as my fiance was at work at the time. The agent pushed for us to make an offer anyway within 2 hours. We did even without a second viewing. We heard NOTHING for 1 week, kept calling for an update and we kept being told that they cannot get in touch with the landlord as he is on holiday. Every day we were told we would get a call back with an update and nobody ever called! I called again today as in the meantime we were losing other properties we were interested in, they finally called back and told me the landlord had already accepted another offer? I thought they could not get in touch with him up until this morning and now they tell me the property is gone. What a waste of time. Would not recommend.

GoogleI advise you to take GREAT CARE. Here's my story with Sharpes Estates: I enquired about viewing property A. I arrange a viewing, like property, and decide I'd like to rent. I write Shapes Estates an email, saying I'd like to rent property A. They instruct me to pay and sign a contract as soon as possible, to avoid losing the property. I comply. I soon later realise that the contract they sent through was for a different property - property B - which was £200 more expensive. At this point, however, there is no way for me to get back my holding deposit. I'm not sure whether to attribute the fact that they sent me the wrong contract to malice or to incompetence - either way, I advise you all to take GREAT CARE with this company.
