Ryan from Sharpes Estates, Collierswood, was the consummate profession. Everything from the way he dressed to how he conducts himself. He was completely honest with me from start to finish. No hidden agenda, no hidden costs. In fact he asked me to consider all of the bills as well as the rent on the property I was about to take on to ensure I was fully informed. I would actively seek Ryan out in future to help me out in a property search. Excellent, honest, friendly and professional service. Five stars.

I rented a flat via Sharpes for 2 years. I was very happy with the service I received. Easy process to sign the contract and easy to return the flat back and do the check out once we decided to leave. Within the same week we had our deposit back! The only reason why I didn't give the 5 star is because there is a yearly fee to pay to renew the contract, whereas as a tenant I prefer to pay one off fee and forget about it. However also on that, they were able to compromise. Also when we needed to leave, they were really understanding and we were able to extend the contract for a further month after the expire date without any problem. I wish all the estate agents were so easy going like Sharpes...

I have been renting in London for a number of years and have found Sharpes Estates to be the best estate agents I've used yet. My sister and I were found a lovely little flat in Wimbledon in a very short amount of time, moving in was made extremely easy and we were always able to get hold of someone in the office when needed. We have had very few problems with the flat but when we have, someone from Sharpes is always available to either speak with on the phone; or on a couple of occasions, come round to the flat. Would especially like to mention Georgie, very professional and personable and always willing to go that extra mile. Thank you Sharpes, highly recommendable.

I have been renting in London for a number of years and have found Sharpes Estates to be the best estate agents I've used yet. a reliable agency which has consistently found us good tenants

Sharpes have been very responsive to our needs to have tenants in our three flats who will take care of the property and act responsibly within the terms of their agreements. In the last fifteen years, we have had just a few who disappointed us and many we could totally trust and depend upon. Living thousands of miles away in East Asia, visiting London just a few days a year, means we need an agent who will give us peace of mind. I have not heard any complaints from our tenants, suggesting they have been given a fair deal. Compared with reports I have read of some companies, Sharpes seem very reasonable with their fees. I strongly recommend them in the renting sector.

Happy with the service but slightly misled

Overall i’d say Sharpes were a good agent and I would use them again. I was given a prompt viewing of the property after displaying interest. I had quick communication from them via email whilst I was going through the process of providing details, signing contracts and getting references and it was easy picking up my keys on move in day. One thing I would note is that the person who showed me around was a bit misleading in the information he gave. I expressed my concern about who i’d be living with as the reason I was moving house was to do with terrible housemates previously. I was told the landlord lived out of London and “very occasionally” stayed over if he needed to work in the city. This to me suggests a live-out landlord. When I moved in it became apparent that the landlord actually lives here Mon-Fri and only goes to his other home at weekends. Luckily for me I really get along with my landlord but this is a huge piece of information that was missed out and I may have acted differently had I known the landlord lived in the property still.

Worst estate agent experience I've ever had

The whole process was terrible. The house we rented was dreadful. We had a 6 month old baby and feel the estate agent should have considered this when showing us the property, however I can accept that we saw the house so it is our own mistake that we accepted it. When we went to collect the keys the estate agent didn't have our contract. We had to chase a number of times before receiving it. They didn't have any details of the deposit scheme that would be used, they didn't even know which scheme was being used. Meter reading weren't taken. The house was filthy - there were mouse droppings in the kitchen. The furniture was falling apart in some rooms so we asked for it to be removed. The agent confirmed we could leave the damaged furniture in the garden however the landlady was furious when they discovered this. The furniture remained in the garden for almost 6 months and was very unsightly. The agent told us there would be no formal check in - the landlady then turned up on the Sunday afternoon while we were in the middle of unpacking as she had apparently arranged this time with the agent. We were unable to do the check in as we had a poorly 6month old and had parents staying to help with the move - a proper check in was never really done. It took the landlady almost a month to have a broken window fixed - it was the middle of Jan and was not fit for a 6 month old however there was no assistance from the agent. The landlady shouldn't be represented she was so bad. When our boiler broke in the middle of winter the landlady wouldn't help rectify - at 5pm at night (after being told first thing that day) she told us we could buy a £13 heater from Argos - but we had no way of getting there after our baby was in bed. We own a rental property and would never use Sharpes to represent us as we felt they were unprofessional, unprepared and told complete lies to us. We also wouldn't rent through Sharpes should we ever need to rent in the future.

Easy Rental

We have had a great experience with Sharpes Estate Agents on moving on to our rental property, What would not have ordinarily been hassle free having faced some unexpected problems the agents have been fantastic at coming back to us and dealing with all our queries including later appointments, having to attend the property more than once after the deal had already been done. Really refreshing to see such a communicative agent who actually take a vested interest in their tenants and landlords, would definitely recommend. Ryan and Sabrina have done a sterling job!

Over 10 years of owning a rented one bedroom flat, Sharpes Letting & Property Management have always given us professional good tenants and and listen to our requirements. Their fees are excellent value for money and there is no compromise in service because of this as they have always provided a tailor high quality service every time. We have never had to use another letting agent over the years as Sharpes letting have always delivered even when we decided to sell our flat recently, they managed to find several buyers in a short space of time and kept us informed and negotiate an offer over the asking price.

Honest, trustworthy and go the extra mile

Sharpes have found tenants for my property for the past 9 years and I've been based overseas.. That equals 3 tenants to be precise which means no vacancy. Each time Sharpes have been professional and have taken the time to find the right solution. One of the tenants moved out after 6 months having got into money issues but all rent was paid up and the awesome replacement tenant was found for no extra charge by Sharpes. It is when issues occur that you find out that an agent is good. Sharpes cares.

Me my partner and son have rented a property through sharpes for the last year with our tenancy just coming to an end. We couldn't of asked for better agents...very polite,friendly and professional and nothing was ever to much to ask. Sadly the property we rented was sold but sharpes kept us up to date with everything until we found a new place to rent. Check in and check out was so simple and quick. And the agents gave us plenty of space. I am sad to be leaving these agents but I would highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again. Very good service

I have let my property through Sharpes for the past 6 years and I never had any problems with them. They have very nice and helpful staff and they really helped me out about a year ago. I had to travel in an emergency and had no time to arrange for my property to be redecorated etc. before I had new tenants moving in. They took over and managed to have everything arranged in my best interest. After this I decided to give it to them for full management and I am very happy I have made this decision. I would always recommend them.
