My roommate and I had the worst experience. They were not helpful at all, we tried to contact them multiple times but no response. They did not give our deposit back and they tried to make the evidence look like its our fault. Long story short we had a really bad experience and this was just unacceptable to treat customers like they treated us!

I wanted to say a big thank you to the team at Jackson and co. Tom was great at the initial meeting and was very professional and I felt in safe hands. The same amount of professionalism continued with Frankie who was enthusiastic and positive which took the stress out of the process of finding a tenant. Communication has been great and Frankie went out of his way to stay later in order to accommodate the amount of viewings they had arranged. Kitty Walker assistant sales manager and Debbie Mead sales progressor are the kindest people I ever met, they wasn't even my real estate agency, yet they both still done all they could to help me with with my dream home! The professionalism from this company the compassion, kindness, yes they will say its their job, but it was more then just their job to me! I am so appreciative and can never repay the kindness with helping make my dream come true! I'd recommend them 1000 times over, they keep you updated, stay on what needs to get done. I cannot praise this company enough. Saling and buying was so very stressful and those two ladies kept my spirits up even went the extra mile and wasn't even my real estate agency! So thank you Jackson and Co. For showing me there is great real estate agencies out there with wonderful people who know how to do there Job above and beyond! EXCEPTIONAL ESTATE AGENTS! Jackson & Co are the estate agents to go with!! As first time buyers, they made the buying process such a pleasure. We had dealt with quite a few estate agents that were not a patch on them. When enquiring we were met with Kitty & Emma who are so friendly and lovely to deal with. The aftersales process was made a breeze with the wonderful Debbie, who couldn't do enough for us, incredible customer service, if you want your property in safe hands, I would 100% recommend Jackson & Co!

** The NEGATIVE REVIEWS are correct** My experience with this rental was extremely disappointing. Communication after sending the deposit was appalling, leaving us in the dark about important details until the last minute. Upon arrival, the house was in poor condition, dirty, and with several things that needed fixing. When we moved out, we left the property cleaner than we found it, yet we were charged an unreasonable £150 cleaning fee. Be aware that they will likely take over £100 from your deposit for cleaning, regardless of the state you leave it in. They also made unfair deductions from our deposit, claiming items were broken when they were already in that condition before we moved in. Fortunately, we took photos upon arrival HOWEVER they will still find a way to dispute, so I highly recommend you do the same to protect yourself. Overall, I would strongly advise avoiding this property and rental company as you will 100% have issues getting your deposit back.

Having lived in my property in excess of 42 years, the selling and buying process has been somewhat overwhelming with all that is required by comparison to my previous purchase of my home. AVOID THIS SO CALLED COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Run by children with no thought to the safety of the houses/flats to be rented out. They rent out unsafe houses to families...or try to, and think nothing of it. I have many pictures of a very unsafe and abandoned house that they thought was appropriate to rent out to someone. I will upload these to my review when I get on my laptop on Monday. Crumbling walls, blown windows, roof edges lifted and exposed, plants growing from the gutters, rotted windows with smashed window sills. Unsafe, not sealed and unfit for human habitation !! The house was so bad we have had to send photos to Colchester Council so they can take the appropriate action against this sham of a company. An utter disgrace that this company is allowed to, at the moment, trade and put people in unsafe situations. Read their reviews and make your own mind up...they are not fit for purpose.
