Negative experience unfortunately.While they sold my house and met their contractual obligations, the communication and service from Pauline was poor.Close to completion, I spoke to the manager Nicola, evidenced the issues I faced and I offered what I believed to be a fair 80%. Unfortunately she didn’t agree, which meant it was escalated to the ombudsman.The ombudsman agreed to my 80% “As a gesture of goodwill In recognition of the communication issues faced and visits to my property without prior consent”.Very disappointed with the service but was more disappointed that the Macclesfield branch would accept no responsibility and see things through my eyes when I tried, amicably, to reason with Nicola and provided evidence. People make mistakes and things happen in business, but she was having none of it and for me it was the principle of the matter.Based on other Macclesfield position reviews this may well have been a one off, I’ve purchased before with Pauline and she was great then.One advice I would give is don’t be afraid to speak up to them - even if they don’t reply to you - it’s your sale, time and money and you have a right to receive good communication. I regret not escalating things earlier in the process.

Bridgfords Stockport, dealt with Katherine Hancock who was unbelievably unhelpful. First of all told me i couldnt cancel as i was in a 12 month contract which was untrue it was a 6 month contract.Said i had to give 2 months notice as i could only give a month from my billing date, which was wrong again.Kept advising i needed to speak to my landlord for issues they could deal with.Finally i left my flat in better condition than when i entered. Landlord wont return deposit, when asking Bridgford to help they've advises its nothing to do with them.

I'm currently renting a property off Brigfords and I just recently had my 6 month property check with Adrian. He was very professional and made some nice comments on my home. Overall my experience with Brigfords has been fantastic, and the staff that I have dealt with have been so lovely (Adrian, Katie and Jessica) I would definitely recommend them as an estate agent.

Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!

Our new property was listed through Bridgfords and they have been excellent from start to finish. Lauren Blackburn dealt with our case and nothing was too much of a hassle for her. She phoned the vendor when things needed clarifying and was incredibly quick to reply to emails which my husband and I will be eternally grateful for! She is also the most enthusiastic and invested sales negotiator I have even came across which was an absolute delight! Thanks so much again and if you ever need to sell your house in the future, I would highly recommend Bridgfords!

I had such a lovely experience and hand holding throughout my rental process even though I never rented my property through Bridgfords. Sam Barrett was a lovely and helpful guy that kept me going when I was struggling to find places due to having pets! He checked up to see how I was getting on and offered advice as well, I didnt get this with any other rental company! My experience of my house move from finding the house at the start right up till the day I moved in was fantastic. I found my agent Sam Fast and accurate, extremely helpful and friendly and I was in the house within 2 weeks!! He understood my difficulties in filling in forms, and without hesitating he helped me fill them in. plus he sent gentle reminders via email when I had forgotten to do something due to my neuro disability. He made me feel extremely comfortable about my disability which is rare. Fantastic experience and very grateful for a stress free move ! I would highly recommend! Thanks Sam:)

Put my property up for sale with them all they do is over promise, the staff have no idea, couldn’t accept any feed back and very patronising, everything was a struggle after 3 viewings in 7 months took house of the market with them. Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

After leaving a different estate agents that my property had been with for 16 weeks with appalling service I was sceptical about choosing my next estate agent. When louise came to my house she immediately made me confident that she would sell the property. Louise was very knowledgable and told me facts even though they might not of been what I wanted to hear. My property sold within 2 weeks of being on the market with them. Bridgfords did an excellent job of marketing my home and were professional throughout the sale process . From my first visit from Bridgefords I felt confident that they were the agent I was going to use. The brochure was very well produced and the photographer took time to show the house to its best advantage .Louise had thoroughly researched properties similar to mine and gave a realistic view of the price I could expect to realise on her first visit. Emma was present for all viewings and was sensitive to my requests for how the house should be presented. Both kept in touch regularly and gave feedback on each viewing, usually the next day. If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people
