Our initial contact with Louise, Brigford's manager, was very positive. She gave us confidence that she and her team would be able to sell our property quickly. Within a week we had secured an above asking price offer! Jane was in charge of our sale and was exceptional. She is very professional, yet friendly, and was a great support to us throughout. Having just completed on my successful application for Tenancy following the recent and sudden death of both my Mum and Husband, I was taken through a journey of Care, Security and Understanding of the sudden Position I found myself in. It was my wish to move area to be closer to my daughters, when I was alerted to the ideal Property exactly where I was hoping to move to. I met up with Lyndsy McGlade, Senior Lettings Manager who showed me around the property and talked me through the process and in turn introduced me to Katie Summerfield, Lettings Negotiator, who took over the day-to-day step by step process from my application, all the relevant documents required, talked me through all the Checks, what was happening, when and why, requested and checked all my Documents, in fact, she thought of everything. Katie was and still is, as is Lyndsy, extremely professional and precise in everything they do. Nothing was or is too much trouble, and the advice and care continues to this day and onwards. Both Lyndsy and Katie are a perfect example of Professionalism, kindness and Customer Service at it’s best and I would have no hesitation in recommending Bridgford’s for anyone’s Letting Requirements. I have rented with bridgfords for just over 5years, whilst saving for a deposit. I had been property hunting for some time with no luck using other estate agents, i found one with bridgfords which unfortunately did not go through, however Emma has been super proactive and kept me informed with new properties that suited my needs. Once the ball began to roll, she continued to support me through the whole process. Emma and the team ensured to keep communication with me, emailing or ringing me of every step. Couldn't thank them enough and also thank you to Gemma at countrywide mortgages for supporting me with the mortgage process!

Some things never change - still shoddy

Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

2 month+ deposit return delay

I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

We had a very poor experience renting out our property through this agency. We were told that the tenants they recommended were “professionals,” but they actually had three children, something that was never mentioned beforehand. We were also promised that the property would be repainted before the tenants moved in, which was one of the main reasons we chose them out of six applications. It’s now been over a year, and the painting was never done. We paid over £100 for an inventory, which turned out to be worthless since it was never signed by the tenants. Despite contacting the agency about this, they never offered an apology, clarification, or refund. The so-called “professional tenants” have since caused over £2,000 worth of damage, leaving us to deal with the repairs. This agency seems to care only about collecting their fees, not about protecting landlords or properties. If anyone from Bridgfords) wants proof, I’m happy to share photos and our email conversations at any time. But please don’t reply with a generic apology, it won’t make up for the poor service we received. Unfortunately, we can’t give zero stars, but we wish we could.

As a landlord suddenly having to find a new agent was extremely stressful and daunting. Lydnsy has been excellent, she was extremely reassuring and answered all my questions very patiently. Her responses to emails are punctual and friendly. I get the impression she is very organised. I also really appreciate speaking to one person, rather than a range of people, which can be the case at other agents. From my experience so far, I would highly recommend Bridgfords.

I would not hesitate to recommend Bridgefords in Chorley. I deal with agents across the whole country with my job and Bridgefords Chorley were truly amazing when it came myself and my family moving. Bridgefords are the worst estate agents…

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!
