Adam Partridge is a highly professional, highly reputable Auction House but what makes them extra special is their excellent in house postal/shipping service. The service I have received is swift, extremely well packed for fragile items and is good value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I have had a problem with the postage system. You quoted a wrong invoice number and no one responded to messages or phone call. Now just paid the postage cost so i am hoping that my item won at auction will be sent. Reading some of the other reviews this seems to be a common problem. Shame because I enjoy the auction house and management team so this leaves a very disappointing feeling.

Hassle free and personal service. Chris gave us clear concise information regarding the items we were considering selling. He showed genuine interest in some of the items and did not press us to auction anything that we were unsure of. We could monitor the live auction, which was a bit of fun.

Great service, went to my Catterall office for a free valuation and was met by a welcoming member of staff who made me feel at ease, he told me about my items including some historical facts which was great, i just decided to sell a couple of my items which was great because i watched the sale online, they fetched a lot more than expected and have just been sent my cheque, thank you i will be back with more items.

Absolutely superb! A professional and caring business, that dealt with me very well this week whilst I was processing items from my recently deceased mother Steven, who I met in Garstang, was knowledgeable, honest and highly professional whilst valuing items. Once the decisions had been made by me and my family over what to sell he made that process very easy also. Overall a great experience and I await with interest the upcoming auction. Thanks!

FacebookVery poor service. I bought two lots in December 2019 at one of their auctions, and was invoiced a few days later, including shipping, as requested. I was then called in July 2020 to request I collect the lots. I dug back through my emails and found that I had paid for shipping, and my last communication with them was that the would arrange collection. Having delivered my items 6 months late, they declined my request to refund my buyer's fees (approx. £10) due to the coronavirus lockdown (?!) and that I should've contacted them to chase them up.

disgusting service, paid invoice on 17th, waited another 5 days for them to sort out p&p which was £95,m excessive to say the least but went with is as i assumed a quick dispatch via DHL. Chased up numerous time, informed dispatch would be Thursday or Friday, nothing. Far better auctioneers out there to use, i will think twice before using them again, would rate zero if that was an option

Made an absentee commission bid, confirmed by them. Item sold for under half my maximum. Yet they claim they somehow missed my bid. Seems a friend? got a real deal. Not good for the seller / vendor of that lot, to say the least. Was told Adam Partridge would contact me / advise; never happened, so Adam Partridge is apparently not the amiable person he likes to present himself as on TV. They are in breach of a common law contract and so therefore owe me compensation. I suggested they waive the buyer's premium on my next purchase but the by now insulting (trying to somehow blame me for placing my bid after they like to receive them by) staff were showing their true colours and said "No" (presumably without Adam Partridge's say so).It was their accusatory blame game tone that sparked me off; if they had just said "sorry, we messed up", that would have been it, no review here. But to be told it was somehow partly my fault even though they had issued me a bid confirmation is an insult, bad mannered and shows a distinct lack of professionalism and customer care.

Buyers beware this auction house has a more expensive in house packing service than mail boxes… this is for small unbreakables that can be sent in a Jiffy bag. If bidding be aware p&p is extortionate. Would give 0 if possible.

We do try and keep the postage costs down as low as possible and the costs are fully listed on our website so people can choose if they want to use our own in-house service or if they would like to arrange their own packing and shipping. We usually find that we are much cheaper than Mailboxes however, we appreciate the feedback and your time in reviewing our postage costs.

GoogleOnly came for a browse but the atmosphere was amazing staff are welcoming and friendly and there is lots for the eyes to feast on. Really would recommend this auction house above all others.
