What a fabulous team her. Nothing is too much trouble. My goods arrived beautifully packed and really quickly which was incredible given that it is xmas week. I have bought lovely things here at this auction on several occasions and at more than one location. I buy from many auction houses but this was special service. Could not recommend highly enough. I recently won a lot at an auction held by Adam Partridge Auctioneers and the service I received was fantastic. I had a few questions about delivery etc and the man that answered the phone was very courteous and patient. He answered all of my questions and explained the process to me very well. I received my invoice promptly and got a very fair postage price. The process was very smooth and easy to follow. Many people are too quick to complain these days, with not enough people pointing out such great service!!Well done to your team at doing such a great job in such difficult times. I’m already looking forward to the next auction as I have my eye on a lovely set of copper measures! Thanks again Lauren

Very poor service.I bought two lots in December 2019 at one of their auctions, and was invoiced a few days later, including shipping, as requested.I was then called in July 2020 to request I collect the lots. I dug back through my emails and found that I had paid for shipping, and my last communication with them was that the would arrange collection.Having delivered my items 6 months late, they declined my request to refund my buyer's fees (approx. £10) due to the coronavirus lockdown (?!) and that I should've contacted them to chase them up.

As a busy auction house dealing with thousands of items each month sometimes we do overlook the odd item. This is an unfortunate truth, something for which we are very sorry, and something we welcome constructive feedback on. The lockdown certainly did not help in our getting your winnings out to you sooner, but, we were open and contactable for the three and a half months from the December auction to the start of lockdown. On the rare occasions that we have overlooked an item for postage, customers have contacted us to chase the items' whereabouts. In this instance we received no communication from you to indicate you had not received your lots, this is why we refused your request for a refund. Thank you for your feedback.

FacebookI won 2 lots in the 4 day auction, it was the first time on AP, I was emailed my invoice and paid the same day via bank transfer, I was not notified that the invoice had been paid, I rang but no answer on 3 different days, I emailed them-no response, I even emailed Adam Partridge himself again no response, I contacted my bank and was assured that the payment had been completed so I booked a collection, the only good thing that happened on collection was that the young man who dealt with me was polite and quick I have been dealing with auction houses all over the country for many years and I have never come across a set up like this. As things stand I think Adam Partridge ltd should forget 4 day auctions and try 4 hour auctions instead

We are sorry to hear of this experience. We have been overwhelmed with the number of buyers. Usually we have around 1500 but this sale was over 5000. Due to Coronavirus, we are running on a skeleton staff and are still working through the 1500 emails we have received since Saturday morning. We are doing our best to get to everyone as quickly as we can and have set up a contactless collection system that seems to be working really well. Moving forward, the sales are going to be more frequent but much smaller, allowing the administration staff more time to be able to deal with emails and process paperwork efficiently. We are pleased to hear the collection team worked well. It was such a big sale this time as we had should have have three auctions in the same time frame and we needed to sell the stock we had in for our vendors. We hope that this experience won't put you off in the future as we are putting lots of things in place for our future sales.

We had excellent service from Adam partridge auctioneers Macclesfield. The whole process was very professional and helpful. Niall visited us at our home and he used his expertise and knowledge to value our items giving us a lot of information about their history.He explained the selling process clearly and how we could watch the auction take place. It was a pleasure to welcome him into our home.We watched the auction on line and found the sale of our items really positive and exciting. Would definitely recommend. John and Ann Clayton.

FacebookYou don't get what you pay for here!!! purchased lot (watches) but on collection the items had been reboxed so not as shown in catalogue, then to top it off there were items missing. We were offered the same lot but without commission added but the items remaining were not worth the reduction in cost so we asked for a full refund This was a 90 mile round trip & when we complained we were fobbed off with a load of excuses :( I wouldn't recommend buying from this auction, terrible customer service.

Unfortunately, despite exhaustive efforts, this could not be achieved. Following your review, our National Manager spoke with you to understand your views and experience to ascertain if any additional support could be achieved. They investigated on your behalf and, unfortunately, arrived at the same conclusion. The manager of the Devon Saleroom invited you to look at two other garden benches consigned for the following auction explaining that they would support you with this should one of these suit your needs. Over the past year had three things valued by Adam partridges1. They said was a reproduction worth nothing - sold at another auction house for £650And it goes on with things I have taken there or asked for valuations they have given terrible valuations where other auction houses have got good money . Don’t know what’s happened here but would not use this auction house at all staff not knowledgable at all and I think they just can’t be bothered … terrible

GoogleAs a frequent buyer from auctions I rely heavily on auction houses providing condition reports, as it's impossible to attend every viewing and be everywhere in the country. With this auction house, even with the intention of spending many thousands of pounds, it's impossible to get any type of meaningful condition report. They either are incapable off doing it or just cannot be bothered, either way it's incredibly poor The two condition reports I requested many days before the auction resulted in one being completely wrong in describing the items in the lot, how hard it is it to read off the specification already printed on something, also to miss items out! The second was blatantly..... Cannot be bothered to do this, it involved posting another picture online and adding an incorrect spec to the description. Will not give their opinion on an item. You cannot under any circumstances buy anything from here unless you are local enough to go and view it yourself. Unfortunate for the vendor of the items when a buyer is prepared to spend in excess of £5000 the auction house do not make any effort.
