It does not work. Here is my email to the auctioneer owner regarding their 10th Nov 2022 auction.Did you set out to buy the worst live bidding platform there is?I invite you to do the decent thing for myself and the vendor of lot 275.Yesterday, I tried to live bid on lot 275When I pressed "bid" things happened on my screen to indicate my bids had been made but they were not placed your end; yours is the ONLY live bidding platform I have problems with.The lot sold for only £100, which is a joke; I was trying to bid up to £320 (don't tell me to use absentee bidding either as a white wash)Do the decent thing; get a better bidding platform and re-auction lot 275In amazement and disgustPS Adam Partridge now deny any problems with their in house live bidding platform BUT I am sure they have a session cookie problem (where they time out cookies on their server while the cookie on your PC stays active and believes it can place bids, when it can not), NO forward live bidding option (NOT absentee bidding, totally different) and no pending lot alarm (so you can easily miss the lots you want to bid on); horrible, truly horrible (both their platform and their inability to acknowledge it is horrible).

I was very disappointed that Adam Partridge left customers to the sky-high fees of third party delivery companies, rather than deal with it in house, service seems to terminate as soon as you have paid for the lots. Generally very disappointed, the fees are high and this coupled with the delivery service paying for itself, why on earth are they not providing a service that practically every other company does?

I have had a couple of experiences with the auction house in recent weeks, both in Liverpool and Knutsford and have had excellent, professional service from both. Stephen in Liverpool and his trusty collection team helped me take items from my father's home and Della in Altrincham helped with other items. Very happy with both offices. Clearing my father's possessions was especially hard and Steve was very reliable, giving good advice. Will definitely use them again.

Purchased an item from this company a while ago now, bid on line through a commission based third party site, after winning the item I rang to ask if credit cards were accepted to which I was told no problem I then drove 85 miles the following day to collect, stood at reception desk for over 5 minutes without even an acknowledgement from the extremely sour faced receptionist who was sitting in front of desk looking directly at me whilst on the telephone. When she finally got off the phone and still with out any acknowledgement at all, swung her chair round and started talking to the other girl in the office about the conversation she had just had, only then after she finished did she then turn back to me to speak for the first time, so far my experience of this company was at best shocking but it became even better when I went to pay by card, to be told that they did not accept credit cards has quote "We keep getting ripped off by people cancelling if they find something wrong with the item" I explained I had rung and asked about accepting credit cards on the phone and I was told it was no problem, I was then told that "this wouldn't have happened", at this point I said that "I just felt like cancelling the order" to which I was then told "I had entered a legally binding contract and would have to pay" this left me two choices either cash (item purchased £349) or bank transfer, obviously I would not be carrying that kind of cash in my wallet so I paid by bank transfer there and then being made to feel like something at the bottom of their shoe, whilst standing in reception waiting for this totally unhelpful rude woman to see if the money had got to their account.Adam Partridge Auctioneers have since blocked me from bidding on their auctions through The Saleroom, the fact that no management or senior staff members have ever tried to find out what happened that day and feel that I am somehow getting punished for giving a true reflection of their atrocious customer service is beyond belief, just remember "Arrogance is a kingdom without a crown" and that has brought a smile to my face

We would also like to clarify that your comment regarding us "not really selling furniture" is not accurate. In fact, antique furniture features prominently in the majority of our auctions across all four of our salerooms, with hundreds of lots offered regularly. Furniture is one of our specialist areas, and Mr Partridge himself is particularly passionate about it.
