GoogleWe’ve twice used Northwood for multi-year lets of our family home. Nikki and Lisa are highly responsive and communicate clearly and honestly. We’ve always felt that Northwood are representing our best interests, which is crucial for landlords at distance. We would certainly use them again in the future and do not hesitate to recommend them.

Hi Nikki This last month has been very hectic for us as we sofa surfed for 6 weeks then moved back into our own home after our long-term tenants moved on. The last 4 weeks have been busy getting our home back into shape. With the sale of Joyford Passage and our other tenants moving out that means that I am fully retired from the rental business. I finally have time to thank you and your team including Lisa for all the excellent work that you all have done over the years. As a landlord and a tenant, I am fully aware that you have to balance the needs of both parties. You always succeeded in doing that when dealing with me. I knew that you would give us the correct advice. I actually won't miss the rental business! But I will miss doing business with excellent teams such as yours. GoogleThroughout the whole tenancy, they seemed to do everything in their power to make moving into our first rental house a hellish experience. Told us we wouldn't need a guarantor but then decided we did need a guarantor, unnecessary difficult attitude during the experience. If you're looking to privately rent, my suggestion would be to steer well clear of these people, they're only interested in themselves and the landlord with no regard for tenants. The inspection after we had moved out was used to nit-pick details which had no relevance in being deducted from the already large deposit paid, a truly dreadful company.
Dear Callum, Thank you for taking the time to express your feelings with regards to your experience with Northwood . I am sorry to hear you have been unsatisfied . As the owner of Northwood I take all comments seriously and would welcome the opportunity to meet. We have had a very different experience with yourselves in that the entire tenancy was actually very smooth and you were great tenants. Various reference checks have to take place before a tenancy can commence and in some cases a guarantor maybe required. Inspections form an important part of the tenancy . As I am sure you will agree the property has been completely refreshed throughout in terms of decorating and carpets . Upon check out various walls were marked above just wear and tear and in turn these have to be put back to the correct condition especially as you had only rented for a six month period. Please do note that the deposit is five weeks rent which is a standard amount that vast majority of landlords will request and is substantially less previous years. GooglePretty happy mostly with getting our house, in a good location and also able to get quick responses from the staff at Northwood. However, it has been a bit disappointing to have issues still being resolved 3weeks after moving in. Issues that were not resolved upon receiving the keys were leaks, stuck doors and waiting for pest control. I didn’t really want to move in with my kids while there were still pest issues. I also had to shampoo the carpets throughout and generally deep clean as the carpets were dirty and were a lot of webs and flies around. Now finally getting settled, except for the leaky sink. Otherwise happy with the friendly staff.

GoogleJust moved out of a Northwoods property and they have been amazing from the start to finish. They resolved all issues quickly and efficiently. I've now moved away from the area but wouldn't hesitate on my return to Cheltenham to allow them to find me a lovely property again.

GoogleReally bad experience.We were in a hurry looking for house in Cheltenham. I told the agent about our situation she confirmed that 10days are enough to move in than we book a viewing , like the house ,ready to pay deposit ect. suddenly they told me that Landlord need to be contacted first before accepting any payment and they will contact me ASAP which never happen.I phone them few times answer was always" I will ask my colleague she will call you back".Really I still waiting 10days later.

GoogleAs first time Landlords my wife and I were a little apprehensive about dealing with the "unknown". However from our first meeting with Nicky, and all through the process of letting (two properties) we have been very impressed with the service that we have received. They all listened to us, understood our criteria and as promised have been in contact when they said they would. Nicki viewed our property's and took the time and effort to explain the positive and negative of being a landlord, which has been very much appreciated. Most towns have plenty of Agents, Cheltenham is no exception, however Northwood was recommended by a relative, who also rents through them, (but a different branch). Our quotation was emailed only an hour or so after Nicki left which gave us time to digest and plan, and I am pleased to say that within days of us signing to their platinum plan, we became landlords. Instructing Northwood to be our Agent has allowed us to have complete peace of mind, and feel assured that we are going to be very well looked after. I would highly recommend Northwood to anyone taking their first step into the lettings market.

GoogleI have now used Northwood Cheltenham twice in the last two years I have been renting. From a tenants prospective they are by far the most professional agency I have yet dealt with in Cheltenham. They have always responded quickly to any maintenance issues raised and all the staff are very friendly.eThe quality of properties I have viewed with them have always been to a high standard and so comes as no surprise that they do inspect when they say they will unlike other agents I have dealt with previously. They are strict when it comes to inspections but I see this as a positive, I would recommend to anyone looking to rent a property in the Cheltenham area . My Deposit was returned in full on my last property and I hope will be the same at the end of my current tenancy. Keep up the good work Northwood ;)

I have to say that our experience both from the letting side as landlords and the selling side as owners has been excellent. The staff are professional in all aspects of their business and communication is of the highest order. GoogleI sold my property in Cheltenham through Northwood Estate Agents. After using another agent at the start of the process I quickly felt that Northwood were far more helpful. Their price was much fairer especially on a property of low value and they were always happy to help and advise me whenever I called. Nikki and Karen were especially helpful even giving me advice on my subsequent purchase. I will definitely use Northwood again if I am selling another property and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

I rented a property from Northwood for 2 years and I had no issues. They were very approachable, and then I did have an issue with my washing machine, they resolved it quickly. When I left the property, I got a cleaning company to do an End of Tenancy clean but this was not done properly. Lisa, the property manager, was extremely helpful and helped me liaise with the company to clean the property again; as a result of this, I got my deposit back in full. Because of Lisa’s kindness and willingness to help, it made a huge difference and I really appreciated it.

GoogleI have rented through Northwood at multiple different addresses over the last 3 years and the service has been nothing short of stellar. I have always felt supported while renting through them, and they are always extremely fast and reliable when it comes to handling tenancy queries/tenancy changes. I have usually always spoken to Lin and Holly, both of whom have consistently been extremely friendly and respectful. However all of the staff I have spoken to have always gone out of their way to help both my housemates and I when needed. Lisa in particular was an exceptional property manager maintaining an excellent line between ensuring the landlord's interests were protected but also that I as a tenant was supported.

GoogleWe recently instructed Northwood to act as our agents in letting a property in Cheltenham - our first experience in the buy to let world. They were very quick off the mark and extremely helpful in every respect - advising on various aspects as well as recommending a decorator who was equally quick to help. Overall I have to say they exceeded our expectations by some way.
