Brilliant service!

I can't thank Gayle and the team at Darlows Pontypridd enough for their invaluable help throughout the process of buying our first home - they have been friendly, receptive, and genuinely helpful in response to everything we have asked of them, and have gone above and beyond to offer support where needed... I don't know where we'd be without them. It's so refreshing to be on the receiving end of great customer service which is so rare thesedays. They're a pleasure to deal with and we'll return to them with no hesitation when it's time to sell!

Darlows for first time landlords…

I am using Darlows as a first time landlord, renting out my home, so no business scale. I have so far enjoyed a pleasant experience and the staff at Albany Road have been professional in their approach. I am yet to discover how our collaboration is going to work out long term, and, if needed, navigate through landlord challenges together, however I am pleased about the marketing and beginning of tenancy. There were only a few minor hiccups, such as information lost in communication and I sometimes got the impression that perhaps there is a great volume of work imposed upon a small workforce, but every issue was addressed promptly and professionally. One positive point is that throughout the process I got to meet and speak to three of their team including the manager, which is pretty much the entire branch.

I had a home visit with Sam McAllister and straight from the off Sam was friendly and polite. I explained that there was some work being done inside the property which wasn’t a problem at all. Sam was really happy with the standard of work being done and has passed on his view that all work is of high standard! I would have no problem with Sam coming back at a later date to get some progress/updated photos when more work is complete.

definitely recommend darlows bought our 1st house with them 10 years ago and bought our 2nd home with darlows rumney Shauna was extremely helpful in both helping us to buy and found us the perfect family home and with helping push along the sale of our other house with another estate agents as they were not doing what they needed to get the sale through quickly so we could move into our new house. cannot thank rumney darlows enough because everyone we spoke to were amazing but big thank you Shauna for helping us find our dream home x

I am currently buying my first home with Darlows all thanks to Emma. She was the only estate agent who really showed interest in helping me find a house. She emailed me with houses followed up with phone calls and offered other suggestions. My circumstances changed at the begging of the year and Emma found it no problem at all in adapting and finding the prefect house. She introduced us to Tara who is a mortage advisor at darlows and found us a great mortage. They work well together to ensure we had the best price on everything. Having received an inheritance we decided to invest in a flat in Cardiff. We looked first on Rightmove and found a good possibility, so rang Darlows to arrange a viewing. Emma Jones answered the phone and when we explained our plan she was most helpful and efficient, immediately suggesting a second flat we might be interested in. Within three days we had viewed three flats in a single afternoon, made an offer on one, and had it accepted. The whole process was made very easy by Emma's expert knowledge of the Cardiff property market. She was able to advise on both property purchase and the rental potential of different properties, so we were able to buy the right flat for our purpose. Possibly the worst estate agent we have…

Possibly the worst estate agent we have ever had the misfortune to deal with. We bought a property with Darlows and the service was dismal from start to finish. Phone calls frequently not returned, emails often unanswered, promises broken and inaccurate or misleading information provided about the property purchased. Eventually we had to ask local residents for the information we required. Their Llanishen branch was often closed and I was not the only one to decide to drive to the branch after days of trying to get hold of someone. The office was closed when I got there but another lady was banging the door in frustration at not being able to get hold of anyone for weeks on end, hoping someone would come down from upstairs. When they did I found the property we were purchasing still advertised for sale inside, months after having our offer accepted. We both left urgent messages to be contacted but still no one got in touch with me. Staff need better training and customer service needs serious attention.
