Really disappointed with this branch Darlows considering I actually know the family growing up in the area of where they first started off and where I was born.Such poor service with inadequate certain staff members. Refused a viewing to let a Bungalow when I have rented most of my life due to bad credit. Considering living and society has its struggles this has to be one of the worst Estate Agents not getting back to myself regarding this and generally not truthful or helpful at all sadly. I specifically wanted a Bungalow for myself and my Disabled mother but a member of staff named Crystal just grilled me on my personal life which was shocking so be aware!!!..I have always gone out of my way in life for people but generally the enthusiasm of this staff member was dreadful. The star 🌟 rating doesn’t even deserve a one from me at all.

Darlows for first time landlords…

I am using Darlows as a first time landlord, renting out my home, so no business scale. I have so far enjoyed a pleasant experience and the staff at Albany Road have been professional in their approach. I am yet to discover how our collaboration is going to work out long term, and, if needed, navigate through landlord challenges together, however I am pleased about the marketing and beginning of tenancy. There were only a few minor hiccups, such as information lost in communication and I sometimes got the impression that perhaps there is a great volume of work imposed upon a small workforce, but every issue was addressed promptly and professionally. One positive point is that throughout the process I got to meet and speak to three of their team including the manager, which is pretty much the entire branch.

I had a home visit with Sam McAllister and straight from the off Sam was friendly and polite. I explained that there was some work being done inside the property which wasn’t a problem at all. Sam was really happy with the standard of work being done and has passed on his view that all work is of high standard! I would have no problem with Sam coming back at a later date to get some progress/updated photos when more work is complete.

Id like to say a Big thank you to Harry Diamond of Darlows for his patience and professionalism when dealing with a sale of a studio apartment on my behalf. Prior to the sale I was slightly naive to have purchased a property on leasehold with the freeholder demanding ridiculous amounts to renew the lease, without which I was having difficulty selling...having spent significant amount taking the freeholder to court to get a reasonable figure to renew the lease and having to pay all his solicitors fees court costs, surveyors fees etc. and the whole process dragging on for over 18 months after the freeholders several appeals against the final decision I was slightly stressed to say the least trying to get rid of the property only having eventually to sell it to the freeholder! very sympathetic to my situation Harry was a pleasure to deal with and all round nice guy so many thanks...Lesson learned dont buy leasehold properties!!! wish my estate agent and solicitor had given me this advice on purchasing in the first instance would have saved a lot of heartache!

I moved to Darlows after failed attempts with another estate agent. The number of interested parties I had by moving the property sale to Darlows multiplied by 10. and within days a sale had been agreed. The Service I had from Darlows was exceptional. Far better than I had hoped. The whole team, especially Stephanie who dealt with my property had exceptional professionalism and went above and beyond to do what ever they could to aid the sale process. I am an investor and spoke to Harry Diamond recently and he was extremely helpful. I've noticed many agents don't ring anymore and he took the initiative to ring and let me know promptly about property that met my requirements exactly. He listened carefully which is very refreshing and was keen to know exactly what I was looking to buy. His style is not pushy and over the top sales, he really is focussed on building relationships with buyers which I am sure will benefit his company from repeat custom in the future. I used Darlows to sell my property recently, they were AMAZING!!!! Jodie and Amber came fully prepared on my area and property and were very positive and enthusiastic! Which is just what you want to be able to trust selling your home. I knew they'd be great, after meeting a few agents they were the only ones to take pictures incase I wanted to use them to list it. They called the next day which some may see as pushy but I saw and loved how efficient they clearly were and it only encouraged me more to use them. I knew from this they'd get viewings in the door, be determined and enthusiastically sell and get offers flowing. And no doubt they did! I sold within 3 weeks and even through the sale they were on the tail of my solicitor and the buyers solicitor, when both me and the buyer were frustrated at our solicitors for the delays, they chased and chased for us and acted as the middle-women which is beyond what I ever expected and completely helped through the entire process They were always on hand for any questions or updates throughout. I appreciate all the work they did and I would recommend them to anyone! And certainly will be using them again!!

Very helpful Estate Agents. Having had nightmare dealings with another Lettings Agent prior to putting my flat up for sale I was reluctant to switch over to the same Sales team. One chance phone call to Darlows made me feel much more positive about everything. Jodie was very encouraging about putting the flat up for sale and was proved right when it sold 5 weeks later. I've been very pleased with whole team at Darlows, there has been no chasing around trying to get hold of people, no non returned calls etc, a vast improvement on the previous company ! My experience of selling my house was made a lot easier because of Darlows especially Harry. They were always so patient and understanding and never put any pressure on us to do anything. Even though we had a nightmare with the solicitors, harry was able to communicate with us in a way which made things easier, he was very helpful and understanding with any queries or worries we had. And dealt with any problems we had quickly and efficiently. If I was to sell my house again I would definitely go with them and I 100% recommend them to anyone.

Our dealings with Darlows , in spite of the fact that the deal eventually didn't work out, were smooth and pleasurable, not words you can normally use in the same sentence as 'estate agent'. Amber Bishop, the salesperson was understanding, helpful and cordial. She appeared to appreciate exactly what we were looking for doing her utmost to facilate our purchase. She kept us informed of progress and worked hard at getting the information and assurances that we needed from the vendor. These were eventually not forthcoming and, when we said that we were withdrawing our offer, she was able to see our point of view even though it must have been a disapointment for her, as it was for us. Of all the estate agents that we have dealt with in the Cardiff area Darlows, in the person of Amber, were the only ones who appeared to have a real interest in our custom and we will definately return there for any further sales or purchases.

He couldn't have been more helpful, which given the situation I found myself in was most welcome.
