Jamal has helped us tremendously and we ended up signing a tenancy agreement after 3 days... Jamal is an example for his colleagues. However I am very disappointed because foxtons lied to me about the quality they wish to represent. My new flat was full of stuff of the previous tenant( including old correspondence, dead plants, dust and dirt, general mess) when they promised it will be prepared for my move in. They were meant to make sure that the apartment is clean and that I can live in it. Instead I was given an apartment with old dirt and no one bothered to check it. Jamal has done a great job and gave me a great deal but the second part is just disrespectful.

Do not move in to properties from Foxtons. I have been living in a mould infested flat for a year, which sent me to the hospital and an independent mould company confirmed the flat was unsafe to live in because it wasn’t properly damp proofed, and they did nothing. When I decided to move out because of the mould, they immediately started viewings of the flat and are now moving someone in when the landlord has no plans to carry out the 2 months of repairs necessary to make it not a health hazard. Beyond that, though, Foxtons has contacted me to schedule viewings of my flat several times when I explicitly told them not to, and when trying to find a flat with them, they offered ones that did not meet any of my criteria and were not on the market. Overall, I strongly recommend not using Foxtons.

Jamal Hussain took over the rental of my flat after another estate agent failed to secure a rental after two months. Jamal rented my flat in just one week. He was proactive and efficient. His friendly and calm manner provided reassurance for the process. However, he seemed to do the job without assistance. A more supported process would have ensured paperwork accompany the agreed terms more closely. I am most grateful for Jamal’s help in renting my flat.

We rented a short let for 3 months. The renting process was smooth and the paperwork and payment is handled through the website. Since it was a short let the rent for the whole period plus 4 weeks of deposit has to be made before we could move in. When we got to the apartment it was like moving in to someones home There were no empty closets and the owners stuff were everywhere. Good thing we brought our own towels and linens since we couldn't find anything clean (or it might have been clean but thrown into the closet with dirty cloths and whatnot). The pillows were discoloured and stinking so we had to purchase our own. Also we couldn't get the grease and make up off the towels so we need to buy or own of those too. In the kitchen dirty kitchenware were mixed with somewhat clean in the cupboards and old food was left in the freezer and on the counters. Also mixed in were tools, spare parts for plumbing, spackling paste etc. It took us a weekend to clean the apartment and get things organised. We thought it must have been some kind of mistake and that Foxton by no way could have inspected the property before we moved in, but our agent confirmed that she herself had inspected the flat before we moved in and that everything was in order. So now we know what Foxton mean by "Bring your suitcase and we'll provide the rest."

Extremely poor handling of deposit refund, lack of accountability and communication.

I moved out of my flat on 25 September 2025, and my landlord immediately approved the full return of my deposit. I provided my bank details to Foxtons on 3 October, and the online portal confirmed that the refund would be processed within 5, 7 working days.

This is a horrible company. The manager of this branch Kirsty Farrington is a racist towards Asian people. I was almost trapped by her signing a contract to pay rent 6-monthly. And because of her lie, my deposit was detained by the landlord. MUST AVOID.

Even though Sadaf and her manager, Jamal (from Foxtons Camden), did a good job in helping us find a flat, Foxtons should be more cautious in selecting landlords and their agents and in helping active tenants. We have been having a lot of problems with Citidwell and the landlord Samut Limited. I really don’t recommend a tenancy with those companies. I believe Foxtons is able to find better landlords and agents as commercial partners.

Two months after the end of a short let Foxtons still hadn't returned the deposit and failed to answer all correspondence. No issues or deductions have been suggested; they simply don't respond and I had to raise a dispute under the deposit protection scheme.
