I rented a property managed by Foxtons for five years and one month. We paid rent on time every month and never had a complaint raised against us. Then we tried to leave.

GoogleI highly recommend Foxtons Camden and in particular - Jamal Hussain. Jamal immediately understands what one wishes as a landlord and works exactly along those expectations. He was able to find a replacement tenant for me within a mere 14 days of the flat becoming vacant and he delivered the asking price. A fantastic agent, razor-sharp, efficient, great sense of humor and one to always deliver!

Foxtons’s account’s department have bad ethical practices.The charged me as a landlord 3 years commission & after six months again charged me 2 years commission for the same property.when I complained they credited part of the commission but after a week they recharged me some more commission.As the tenant rent is deposited directly into Foxtons’s account I cannot do much about it and am finally taking them to court for fraudulent activity.

GoogleMike Horton was extremely helpful and just an all round nice guy while we looked for our new rental. Although we didn't end up getting our house through foxtons, dealing with Mike was always a pleasure, I can only hope my future experiences with estate agents are as good as this one.

GoogleJamal was fantastic to work with. He truly went above and beyond to help me rent out the perfect flat as quickly as was humanly possible. He was extremely understanding when I was delayed for viewings, helped me throughout the entire application process, and was extremely prompt in responding to me whenever I had a question. I would recommend working with him to anyone!

GoogleWe've rented a house 2 months in advance, we paid a whole month of deposit even though we should just pay a week. After that when we should get the keys and pay the rent, they stopped to answer us, I've try contact them unsuccessfully many times during the day, even their central tried call, but no answer at all. Went there personally, and a lot of bulshit around, they said us that the tenants didn't leave the flat, this after 2 days calling them, messaging them, but not answer at all, so just going there personally to get this answer. Still struggling to get my money back, even though I've paid it more than legally (a whole month of rent to hold the house), 2 months ago, and they said its not their fault, all contracts signed and I have to chase all of them to get answer that they don't care at all. I've emailed the central customer service, someone would be in touch, but still waiting more than 3 days for that. I'll might end up on the court. They're good just to book everyone in the same time for the view, to get your money, after that good luck to get any answer from them. Such rubbish service from a huge company like that.

GoogleJamal at Camden is very proactive and efficient. Some room for improvement on the back-end, with potential for the various teams to coordinate better amongst themselves (we had some confusion around booking of a couple of services). But this was not a show-stopper and overall I'd recommend their service.

GoogleJamal has helped us tremendously and we ended up signing a tenancy agreement after 3 days... Jamal is an example for his colleagues. However I am very disappointed because foxtons lied to me about the quality they wish to represent. My new flat was full of stuff of the previous tenant( including old correspondence, dead plants, dust and dirt, general mess) when they promised it will be prepared for my move in. They were meant to make sure that the apartment is clean and that I can live in it. Instead I was given an apartment with old dirt and no one bothered to check it. Jamal has done a great job and gave me a great deal but the second part is just disrespectful.

GoogleDo not move in to properties from Foxtons. I have been living in a mould infested flat for a year, which sent me to the hospital and an independent mould company confirmed the flat was unsafe to live in because it wasn’t properly damp proofed, and they did nothing. When I decided to move out because of the mould, they immediately started viewings of the flat and are now moving someone in when the landlord has no plans to carry out the 2 months of repairs necessary to make it not a health hazard. Beyond that, though, Foxtons has contacted me to schedule viewings of my flat several times when I explicitly told them not to, and when trying to find a flat with them, they offered ones that did not meet any of my criteria and were not on the market. Overall, I strongly recommend not using Foxtons.
