As a landlord (don't hate me!) paying for a managed service, they tried to charge me £90 + vat to fix a meter door with two cable ties. This is typical, and I have to chase them repeatedly for everything. My tenants and I deserve better.

GoogleFirst time renting a property as a student, and Jamal was extremely accommodating! Very readily available and helpful, he helped us secure our property within a short window of time and negotiate uncertainties. Highly recommend! Later edit: although the foxtons helps secure properties quickly, their quick response rate drops to a zero response rate when it comes to managing existing rentals. Our property was not professionally cleaned and even had excretion in the toilet and mould growing in a corner when we moved in. After trying to contact foxtons camden property management agents (not jamal) for a week straight without replies I am highly disappointed with the service.

GoogleMy compliments and shout out to Jamal for his hard work and efficiency in ensuring a swift turnaround when our existing tenants decided to move out. Jamal secured a fresh set of tenants who committed a month and a half before the current tenants moved out and even negotiated a material increase in rent compared to other letting agents who are ever so keen to reduce prices for the sake of closing a transaction. I had an incredibly unfair and unprofessional experience with the Foxtons Deposits Team. We moved out in October 2025, yet it took five months for any clarity regarding our deposit, a delay that felt like a tactical move to strip us of our right to provide counter-evidence.

GoogleTruly outstanding service from Mike Horton. He did an exceptional job at finding a perfect flat to rent. Mike was extremely friendly and professional throughout the whole process, always available and happy to help with any questions or issues and very honest about the offer and contract. Having met many different agents, Mike stands out from them all. Dealing with him was a true pleasure.

GoogleFoxtons conduct was dishonest and unprofessional from start to finish. They initially stood out by offering a much higher valuation for my property than any other local agent on Parkway. When I questioned this, they confidently reassured me and promised weekly updates, persuading me to sign a 12-week exclusivity agreement (reduced from their standard 16 weeks). Despite a higher commission compared to other agents, I was sold. As soon as I signed, they became unresponsive. For three weeks, my emails, calls, and voicemails went unanswered. When they finally contacted me, they falsely claimed a missing document and lack of property access, despite both having been provided on day 1 face to face. My clarifications were ignored, and another two weeks of silence followed. Six weeks after listing, they finally called to say there had been zero inquiries and suggested dropping the price by £75,000, exactly in line with the original valuations from other agencies. It became clear they had deliberately inflated the price to win my business. When I raised the issue of their lack of communication, they falsely claimed they had called weekly. I asked to terminate the agreement, but they wrongly insisted I was locked in for the full 12 weeks plus a further 4-week notice period. I asked for a copy of the agreement, which they had failed to provide initially. It confirmed I could cancel after four weeks with 28 days’ notice. I served written notice immediately, citing mis-selling and zero communication, and requested written acknowledgment, which they predictably ignored until I chased them again by phone. Whilst I cannot speak for their rental or buying services, I strongly advise sellers to avoid Foxtons Camden. A company that knowingly lies to get your business should not be allowed to operate without consequences.

GoogleGenerally speaking, the agents are able to find properties to suit particular needs provided you are not looking a shared accommodation with separate tenancies. The benefits do not outweigh the drawbacks. Some of the agents (including Jamal, who is spoken of so highly in these reviews) exploit students and prey upon their lack of knowledge regarding the rental market and subsequent tenancy. Jamal hides behind a “no nonsense approach” in order to further his own commission and has shown to lack accountability when clerical errors in tenancy agreements are made. Failed to inform us of additional charges, been waiting at least 2.5 weeks to receive deposit back, despite having chased up on multiple occasions. Foxtons are probably the most pompous, money hungry agency I’ve ever dealt with.

GoogleExcellent service by Jamal at the Camden Branch has brought me circa 15% incremental rent. No landlord can ask for more in this current climate. The arrangement fees of Foxtons is higher than the fee offered by other agents in the area, but the higher rent that Jamal achieved has paid for the fees and still let a bit more. Thank you Jamal.

Our experience with Foxtons has been nothing short of frustrating. From the very beginning, communication was poor. Before moving in, emails went unanswered or delayed, and once we raised urgent issues like a serious mold problem, it was not addressed in a timely manner. We also went without heating for weeks in the winter before finally being given a few space heaters as a stop-gap.

GoogleJamal was/is an amazing estate agent. He goes above and beyond working around your schedule, is very responsive and communicates directly. He manages expectations and is honest. I had a few issues regarding COVID 19 and furlough and he was able to ensure the process remained smooth sailing, and found alternatives for everything. He also takes into account how busy life can be and knows when to give you time, and when to chase you. I have had bad experiences with arrogant and pushy EAs in the past, but Jamal has restored my faith in them! Would recommend him to anyone. I trusted Foxtons to manage my property professionally. They found the tenants, collected commission (2 months rent per year) and management fees, and were contractually obligated to inspect and monitor my home. They failed on every count.
