I had a great experience viewing properties with Yama at Foxtons Camden. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely easy to get along with throughout the process. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and showed me a selection of places that were actually well suited, rather than just ticking boxes. What stood out most was how honest and straightforward he was. He also knew the Camden area really well, which made a big difference when discussing each property and the surrounding neighbourhood. Overall, a very smooth and enjoyable experience. I’d definitely recommend Yama to anyone looking to buy or rent in the area.

Avoid

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Based on my experience, I would advise new landlords to be extremely cautious with Foxtons. The agent’s explanations of commission and contract terms were unclear, and I ended up in a lengthy dispute over unexpected fees. Which is escalated to ombudsman and will probaly go to the court. Never trust a word of Foxton's agents. Always insist on written communication and carefully review all documents before signing. I would not recommend Foxtons to others based on my experience.

As the owner of a flat

As the owner of a flat, I struggled for months to find tenants. I tried renting it myself but mostly scammers or people who waste my time only, then worked with several agencies - including one that promised a quick result but instead damaged my flat and pressured me constantly with calls and messages, day and night. By the time I found Foxtons' letter in my letterbox, I was ready to give up.

Poor management service, poor experience - just poor all around. We opted for Foxtons Managed Services for piece of mind and convenience. That was a mistake. Due to an initial poor service from Richard Hockridge, I had to escalate to his manager, Rebecca, to sort out a) poor and unfinished works done in the property with inferior quality materials, that had to be re-done b) ignoring priority works which resulted in damaged furniture and c) ongoing lack of communications especially on urgent matters. I am now waiting on a refund having given plenty of notice but again I am being ignored by Rebecca. Why are my emails not even being acknowledged? Why do I need to reach out to Rebecca's subordinate, Marc (whom has been great at responding and helping) to contact Rebecca to prompt her to answer on matters she's supposed to be handling? My wife and I are so disappointed, I will NEVER use Foxtons Managed Services again. This is such a shame as the initial work to get a tenant in the property (led by Jamal) was a great experience, which has now been completely undermined by Rebecca and her attitude towards customers. My advice: Use Foxtons to get a tenant, as they've people lined up to pay top dollar, but STAY AWAY from property management unless you want to be fully hands on and love chasing people to get things done. It's been such a pain I just want to handle everything myself! Never again.
