Incompetence and lies on a legendary scale!

I had my property up for sale with Foxtons, an offer collapsed, and so I decided to consider rental. After I spoke to the rental department, they took a renter into my property without my permission, hadn't even signed a contract. Luckily, the person liked it and offered a good rent. The agent lied to the renter and me, messed up three contracts, so by the time he signed the fourth contract on my behalf, the renter had been in my flat for 10 days. Lucky he signed! He told me that I could not protect the deposit...lie. He told me that the second 6-month rent payment would be paid on the fourth month...lie. And it was not paid in advance on the 5th month like every other agent; the tenant is now late with the second 6-month payment. I complained to the manager, but he ignored my complaints. The whole office is corrupt. Really, do yourself a favour, there are good letting agents out there, Foxtons is not one of them.

I am very impressed with Foxtons Teams and so glad that I chose them. I cannot praise Jamal enough! Jamal is extremely knowledgeable about property letting and the local area. He is very attentive, responsive and he is also very easy to have a chat with. Jamal listened to all my questions and dealt with them in a very professional manner in a reassuring way. What else can you ask for! And Jamal let my property with a good offer in three hours after I instructed Foxtons, which is unbelievable and magical. It has been a true pleasure to work with the Foxtons teams!

Since I decided to move Ruman Mir went out of his way to help me with the new location and was able to find exactly what I was looking for. New X Foxtons is appalling

New Cross Gate letting office is appalling. I had a misfortune to invite them a few years back for valuation and then when changed my mind, asked them to delete me from their database as wasn't planning to do anything with my house. And guess what every year I am receiving unsolicited calls inquiring about valuation, letting, selling. They promise to delete my number every time they call once every half a year in average, pathetic.

Very organized and responsive, they consistently reply to my messages and calls regarding concerns in a timely manner :) I loveee the user-friendly and up-to-date website, which allows for easy access to all documents, contracts, and payments. Very easy to pay with cards from the United States! Jamal Hussain is awesome! He dedicated his time to assist me in locating a suitable home for myself and my cat, Lalo, near my school. He consistently demonstrates attentiveness to my paperwork and payment needs, and he is prompt in facilitating the completion of necessary tasks.

Can you imagine that you are a tenant who paid 6 months upfront payment and till signed the contract, everything been well but after no response, no reply to emails. Apart from this, they are trying to sell the house when we are inside without any information. Worst service ever! Do not deal with this people ! Especially Jamal Hussain.

Priorities are wrong

Foxtons can't seem to answer simple enquiries about a property - for example "how long is the leasehold" or "what are the service charges". Instead their focus is on gaining as much information about the person inquiring as possible. Ie they have more interest in adding to a dataset of potential buyers and marketing themselves than in answering a simple enquiry. I certainly wouldn't sell with them given how they prioritise themselves over the sellers interests..... of course all this is in the guise of "customer service" but it's not really is it? It's blatant marketing and self promotion.

nightmare agents

nightmare agents. do yourself a favour and use a different one. these are the guys who give estates agents their bad name. its been almost 2 months since i completed and they still havent given me the full set of keys or removed furniture as promised. i dealt with jordan at the temple fortune branch and every day he has a new excuse. they dont respond to messages or phone calls and provide a truly awful service. there are plenty of other good agents around who provide a much better service.

They take the money & abandon…

They take the money and then abandon their landlords. Do not rent a property with these agents as there is no customer support or response. I have had a couple of issues and queries - I have had to ring several times with long wait times and email multiple times for a response, still waiting three weeks later. They never reply or respond costing me hours of wasted time and stress.

We dealt with Oram Ohene-Djen, our letting negotiator, who from the very beginning was unhelpful, dismissive, and often gaslighting us whenever we raised concerns. Worked with Milica. Got really bad experience. Had to view houses that did not fit my criteria. Was left by the agent in the office just right after viewing session to start paperwork with other person. Had to go to the office again to do right to rent, but could do that during the first visit. Was not told that time and location for key collecting on the website was wrong. My overall rating is nonprofessional and time wasting. Do not recommend.
