Carnabys were the Managing Agents for a property that we rented in Burgess Hill for three and a half years. From the initial viewing to the end of the tenancy, the team were professional, friendly, courteous, efficient and most of all they are great people! The worst thing about being a tenant can sometimes be dealing with managing agents, being stung with lots of charges when going through the referencing process to the end of tenancy check out. Carnabys restored any doubt in my mind that there are good managing agents out there! They were always a pleasure to speak to and always had time to talk to you. If you had any problems or queries you knew that they would be dealt with and resolved in a professional manner, or any messages would be responded to straight away. You can feel safe knowing that they are experts in their field, with broad and up to date knowledge of current legislation. If you are a Landlord looking to appoint Agents then from a tenants perspective I couldn't recommend them more! I can only speak from a renting perspective but I'm sure that the Sales team will be on the same great standard.

I thought the whole process was relatively straight forward, and the colleagues were very helpful. The only negative comment was that I was called nearly every day about the development and chasing people up. This became extremely tiresome with my full time job, when in fact there was not much I could do to hurry up the process.
All aspects of the service were good and the people were very nice.

I found Carnabys easy to get hold of and always helpful, letting us into the property (twice) to get quotes and liaising promptly with the seller. They were efficient and pro-active during the process, sending regular emails and keeping us all on track for the completion date. The individuals in the office also seemed genuinely nice people and happy for us. I don't usually rate services/goods but Carnabys are worth a mention as the best estate agent experience I've had in my years of owning property.

The staff are unpleasant and unhelpful. I rented with them for 3 years. I encountered issues with the property which they were unhelpful with.. I ended up paying a lot towards the issues in the property myself until they finally brought a proper contractor in who found it was a building issue and it was finally sorted after about a year. and lots of my own money spent on something not my fault.
Some of the staff were rude, patronising and condescending to me. All of the other agencies I have rented from have been much more pleasant and helpful than Carnaby's. I wouldn't recommend as a tenant..
