GoogleAfter showing interest in an apartment in Snaresbrook and arranging a viewing by phone, I received an email confirming the address and time for the viewing. As it turned out, I was given the wrong postcode and therefore arrived at the wrong address, a 20 minute walk away from where the property was actually located. I received a call from Du Preez Botha who asked me where I was and, after explaining to him that he had indeed given me the wrong postcode he said "well I had the same postcode as you and have never been here before myself and I've managed to find it". Although I should have checked the name of the road itself as well as the postcode, I did only use the postcode as I was using my google maps app. Estate agents are by nature rather arrogant people who know the rental market well, they have a lot of interest in each property. Having said this, if a mistake is made on one's part, one should accept this, not blame the client. He did apologise, although this didn't feel too sincere. I also work in a very busy office where I am responsible for providing addresses to clients. So a word of advice from me would be to: A. double check both the number / name and street name and B. make sure the postcode provided to a potential client matches the address. In this way the time wasted for both parties will be avoided.

GoogleAfter looking for a property across many different parts of London for 3 years, and coming into contact with approx 50 estate agents some of who didn't even bother to turn up to viewings or listen to what we wanted, then Petty Son & Prestwitch then came along. Petty Son stood out a mile from other agents across London and in the Wanstead area. They actually listened to us, spoke frankly about the local property market, and I genuinely felt they understood our position and had us in mind for all properties within our budget. Unlike other agents in the area there was no aggressive sales pitch for using Petty Son as middlemen for a mortgage etc. They used their time to focus on us and the seller. They always responded to our emails and phone calls promptly. I just wish we had found Petty Son earlier. The main people we dealt with across two of their offices were Fran, Elaine, Pam, and Fay. Thank you. My partner and I would have no hesitation in recommending you and your firm.

Due to a coincidence, I happened to meet a tenant, and I was very pleased to know that they were very happy as well with the service that this company provides.
I have come across other agencies before, and OMG, YES! (:P) I stay here forever!! They are very professional without loosing their smile. No need for hard negotiations regarding prices and percentages, as from the beginning they offer a reasonable number. They seem very transparent with everything, keeping you updated without disturbing (as a landlord). I bought this property through them as well, and even though at that point they were not as transparent (obviously they cannot say what the other offers are), the experience was so good that I went straight to them when I had to rent it out.
