Superb service from Oadby staff

Everyone in the Oadby Office was superb, I couldn’t fault any part of the process. I live in Yorkshire and was selling my late father’s property from afar. The staff went above and beyond by helping with additional needs (ie taking final readings, letting workmen in etc) so that I didn’t have to travel down more than necessary. They offered advice, assurance and guidance and updated me on progress when my solicitors weren’t doing so. Everyone was friendly and always got back to me promptly with telephone enquiries and e-mails. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Outstanding customer service.

Can't fault Elaine, from the moment I showed interest in the 1st house I viewed she knew exactly what I was looking for. Once this was found she kept me in the loop the whole way through the process, I cant fault the communication from her. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend goodchilds. Worst agency ever deal with, said they can’t rent the property just the day before we need to move in. Done all the paperwork, gave them whatever they asked for but at the last moment they rang and told they can’t rent because of silly things. Now I’m on the middle of road nowhere to go struggling to find somewhere to live. Really really upset with the service. Never Ever go back to goodchild again. I had seen a lots of reviews same as mine..gave everything the asked for and rejected at last moment. Not good at all.

One of the worst experience I’ve had dealing with an estate agent! I’ve travelled all the way from London to view this property in Walsall, They called me to confirm the viewing in the morning which s was meant to be at 16:45. I’ve taken time off work, dragged my 24 week pregnant wife out with me to view this property for them to call me at 16:35 to cancel the appointment because someone else put a holding deposit down. I understand regulations & first come first served, but when booking the appointment they could have given me a heads up that they’ll take a holding deposit at any given time, not 10 minutes before the appointment . Such a massive inconvenience as I’ve had to drive 2h 30min back home. Waste of time & money!!

Excellent service from start to finish!! I was wanting to move to a property with a larger 3rd bedroom, absolutely nothing on the market. A valuation on my property was done, explained what I was looking for and said we have one that will be going on the market on Friday (this was wed), a viewing was arranged and we feel in love with the house. They came back the next day to take photos etc, and both properties went on the market on the Friday afternoon. By Friday evening I had 2 viewings booked for the Saturday and other chap had one. Monday morning 9am, I had received 2 offers and it was sold by 11.30, with me putting an offer in on the other property and it being accepted. Fantastic team!!! Fabulous service. Absolutely love the house. Thank you John and team, best in town

"Brillant and professional service" I would highly recommend Goodchilds brownhills branch. I'm a first time home buyer, and it was all very new to me. No benefit over internet based Agents

There is absolutely zero benefit using this company over an Internet or Web-based Estate Agent. Over a period of many months we had numerous viewings but only one offer which was a long way from the asking price. We agreed to lower but still no luck. As far as we saw, the company did nothing except answer the telephone/emails and pass in messages to us, other than the preparation of the information sheet we saw no input whatsoever - regular demands for payment but no calls, no updates and no advice except a continued recommendation to lower the price. In my mind that is not selling but simply letting the price sell the house. In lieu of the lack of input I asked if they would contribute to the fee for withdrawal of the property from the market. Absolutely not, they demanded the £300 which we had to pay. What a waste of our time and £300. Lastly, they charged us for the energy assessment but took many, many months to provide a copy.

From the moment Martin came out and valued our house and spoke to us about the service Goodchilds provide we knew we had to see if they could deliver. Within 2 months Abbie and Erin had sold our house and their service was second to none. Abbie was our main contact throughout the rest of the process and she kept us constantly updated and in the loop. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She was very patient with my endless phone calls and kept all parties updated and chased throughout.
