GoogleWe had a great experience with Richard Harding. The quality of their photos, brochure and description was stunning and really showed our house off in the best way possible. They were helpful, responsive and professional at all times during our complex sale/purchase (a long sales chain, coivd & approaching Christmas). Pete Sharland was our main contact and he was fantastic throughout - although his colleagues stepped in admirably too when Pete was off on paternity leave. GoogleI used Richard Harding estate agent based on a recommendation and I am happy with my choice. I never actually met the team as I was selling my house whilst stuck overseas. The team were great to deal with, friendly, commmunicative and helpful. There were a few extra issues selling the house, as I was abroad , and they dealt with these very smoothly. I would use them again.

GooglePeter Sharland kept me sane throughout this crazy crazy process of buying and selling houses. There were several points when I thought it would never happen but his unfailing cheerfulness, attention to detail and unflagging energy ensured everything went through (in the end). My lawyer respects him which is important. Richard Harding is just a great company. They listen to your views, will offer advice, respect your opinions and importantly for me - always show people around. When you are buying, you have as much time as you need. Peter is particularly good at reading people and therefore providing good advice. I wouldn't sell through anybody else.

The viewings were well conducted and we were informed of the progress throughout. We felt all members of the team were professional, very helpful and always easily contactable to deal with any questions. We dealt with Ben Woollams who was excellent. GoogleMy experience selling with Richard Harding was excellent from start to finish. I valued highly their local knowledge and commitment and throughout was confident that my house sale was in safe hands. I liked their system of having a partner to oversee each sale, in my case Peter Walker, and a team member (Kat Williams) dedicated to the day-to-day management of the sales process. Both were very responsive, skilled at listening, paid attention to detail and proactively following up potential buyers. I was also particularly impressed by their strong whole team communications, the baton was never dropped, and I received prompt and clear feedback from all the viewings. I can recommend Richard Harding estate agents without hesitation.

GoogleWhat a great team! Heartfelt thanks from us for your patient, attentive, and unwavering support from beginning to end. The location was a bit off-putting to some, but you did a great job of persuading people to view, and almost without exception they loved the place when they got here. We owe a particular debt of thanks to Peter Sharland who was brilliantly diplomatic, charming and full of good reason throughout the negotiations with all the interested parties. Overall, we'd say the team at Richard Harding served us (buyers and sellers alike) really well. Concessions had to be made on both sides before we could reach our final agreement, but we got there with a happy ending all round. Thank you.

GoogleWe have just sold a house and bought another one synchronously with Richard Harding. Peter Sharland was our main contact and his professionalism and determination were second to none. The house selling process in particular was fairly fraught for lawyer related reasons and throughout Peter was exceptionally engaged - ringing round a long list of people ensuring that everyone had the correct information and expediting things wherever possible. We would definitely use him again - THANKS Peter!

GoogleThey’re the type of agent that schedules a viewing adjusting your overseas travel then calls you to cancel it and pushes you to participate in a “best and final offer” sight unseen... All rather dodgy frankly... ___ Response; Wow so much effort going through all your files to craft such an epic response to a review I left a year ago! You were sent an instruction to delete all my personal data but you have chosen to share my personal data on Google! That is a direct breach of GDPR so I will let others decide whether or not you are DODGY... At least I have you two stars as opposed to all that five star reviews from people (or machines) who have only ever left one review for anyone. I think DODGY companies can buy those...

GoogleI’ve just sold my flat through Richard Harding and they were brilliant. James was my agent; he gave me down to earth advise, helped to prompt everyone when things slowed down and responded to my requests really quickly. I don’t think it’s an easy time in the housing market at the moment and I had a hard sell from a few agents when looking around but not from James, he just said it as it was and that continued throughout the flat sale. Highly recommend them for no nonsense flat selling.

GoogleWe bought a house through Richard Harding earlier this summer. It was a highly sought-after property and we won it only just in a sealed bid. It felt, though, from the start that these estate agents wanted to sabotage the sale. Even as we walked around the property with our surveyor (who we had paid £3k+ for), all the Richard Harding estate agent could say to us was "we speak to the people who missed out in the sealed bid everyday, they constantly ring us up to see if this sale is falling through" or words to that effect. We found this very strange. We were buying the house with a bridging loan which was horrifically complicated as the house was old and in a horrific state, and involved five solicitors, yet there was no 'help' so to speak of from Richard Harding. It was just threats and ultimatums. Sometimes they would make an ultimatum which even the seller's solicitor wasn't aware of, which made us wonder if they were just making it up. It also seemed like everything they did was on behalf of the sellers. They didn't 'manage' the sale for both parties. They just worked for the sellers and, in our view, created a tremendous amount of mistrust between us. We believe they treated us (in our view) so badly because the house was so sought after. Indeed, they even admitted that they weren't hassling other people who were taking a long time (if it was a long time) to complete on their purchase. The reason - because in those sales no one else was waiting in the wings. So, it seemed the whole reason they were so brutal to us was because the house was popular and other people were mad they had missed out on it. Unless Richard Harding had an alternative reason for it to fall through and to give it to someone else - we don't know. Finally, up until the last few weeks, we felt Richard Harding weren't being genuine with us. All the hassle to get it over the line - all the threats and ultimatums. We were ready to exchange and complete on the same day - which they had known about for months. Then they told us right at the last second that the sellers wanted a month after exchange to move all their furniture - which they had had five months to do. When we queried their suggested completion date, they just said: “That’s the completion date.” As I say, they weren't working for us, but just the sellers. Obviously, the bridging loan was horrifically complicated and dragged on. But Richard Harding still put my partner who was dealing with most of this through utter hell. It could have been handled very differently. We now have the house and this is all water under the bridge. This review just serves as a warning to anyone else buying a popular house with similarly complicated finances!NegativeProfessionalism
Dear Ms Rees I’m not sure it would help to pore over the finer details of the sale in public, but I will provide the following response: Our clients were acting on behalf of their elderly parents who had moved into a residential care home. Understandably, this was a very stressful and busy period and, as such, they hoped the sale would conclude at a reasonable pace and provide closure on what had been their family home of more than 30 years. We agreed the sale to you on the 20th of May and asked for completion at the end of July. Due to various complications relating to your financing, we weren’t able to exchange of contracts until the 2nd of November. These delays caused a tremendous amount of stress and strain to our clients. The deadlines set were jointly agreed by us the agent and our clients to attempt to bring the matter to a successful conclusion for all parties. I have discussed this review with our clients to understand their point of view as well. They have confirmed that they were happy with our support and service and that we were acting in their interests and with their full approval. GoogleWe have recently sold our property through Richard Harding estate agents and our agent there was Charles Zorab who was really outstanding, pro-active and helpful. It was a pleasure to work with Charles and the team. We had a good rapport and Charles was interested in the property right from the start. Feedback came after every viewing and when we secured a buyer Charles made sure all the back-ground checks were done and helped keep the ball rolling throughout the whole process. We were happy to receive his advice which we were in agreement with. It was a very refreshing change to be able to give such a good review! If anyone is thinking of buying or selling in the locality I would very strongly recommend a chat with Charles and you will be in safe and very capable hands! GoogleI cannot speak highly enough of the team at Richard Harding. We sold our house very quickly (within a week!). The whole team came to look at the house so they were familiar with it and I really felt they were serious from the start - led by Peter Walker. The photos taken were exceptional and really helped showcase it on Rightmove. We were in a chain and towards the end it became quite stressful, but Tom West guided me through the process sensitively and kept me in the loop at all times. When we finally moved I felt so grateful for choosing them. Would recommend to anyone selling in Bristol.

He provided exceptional service and commitment from our first meeting to the completion of the sale. He proactively kept us informed to the status of the sale on a very regular basis. Prior to Peter Sharland going on holidays during the sale process, he made sure Richard Harding team members were briefed on the completion status. Each team member gave great service until Peter returned from leave. I would have no hesitation in using Richard Harding estate agents in the future, either as a seller or a buyer of a property.
