Wouldn't recommend

Staff do come across nice enough as few other reviews show but unfortunately the service is not good and they just blame there managers and there managers manager. I was told everything was fine and I was moving in given a move in date, called me to confirm told me some of the appliances where being gifted to me, signed me up to there rewards program and all contracts signed so I went out ordered items I needed paid deposit on van then I get a call and landlord doesn't want me. When I thought it was way past that stagenow I'm having to fight to get my money back with a charge back with my bank when I spoke to Lewis he said this was best way as his managers manager said can't be refunded even though I pointed out this will just charge them extra £90 in bank fees when my credit card company pulls it back and offered to not leave a bad review and lets just walk away from bad situation both partys back where they started and i even offered to rent another house off them andto move my money towards that was told they have nothing available at the moment. Wouldn't recommend unfortunately and don't think you have the house with them until the keys in your hand also look at other bad reviews on here get a true picture of what you getting into

Success from 12,000 miles away

The experience was very good due to the patience of Amy Ellis, helping me from the other side of the world to work my way through the bewildering amount of bureaucracy involved in renting a house in the UK, and I am someone who has had no experience if renting previously. She did very well, because here I am now in a lovely house in Horsham.There was a bit of a bank delay, but was met with the same courtesy, again thank you, Amy. First time tenant

This is my first time moving into my own place and leaders were the best Estate Agents. I tried using Oakmans and Dundelin to no success as there communication is subpar to say the least. From the moment I chose to view my property to the moving in date I had clear, concise communication with my Estate agent Aimee, she even helped me with sorting out my references when I failed to understand what was being asked of me. Overall a 10/10 experience and i will be telling every and anyone to use Leaders.

Tenants beware!

Was a tenant with Leaders as the letting agent for 5 years. Communication during the tenancy was mostly ok however, when giving notice to end the tenancy it was a nightmare. I gave 2 months notice to leave on 30th June 2025 and this was acknowledged on 1st July after I chased confirmation it had been received (had to do it via their online portal) as there was no confirmation received that it had gone through ok. Guy Cooper-Clarke responded to my chaser email to confirm notice was received and it would be "processed". 4th August 2025 I received an email confirming my notice had been processed and my final day at the property would be 30th August. They recommended a cleaning company to carry out an end of tenancy clean. They were hideously expensive (£420) so I found an alternative company. They failed to do anything with regards to arranging viewings for new tenants and the landlord was unhappy so they called me in a panic to arrange viewings that week, with 2 days notice. On 29th August I received the one and only communication regarding return of keys. I had assumed I would be posting them through the letterbox for them to collect however a text came through asking that the keys be returned to the Witham branch (!?) by "close of day" on 30th. Being a Saturday the branch was only open until 1pm so I had to ensure I had fully vacated the premises by midday to drive to Witham to return the keys. When I arrived, the branch was closed (1230). Guy cooper Clarke replied to my frantic email with images proving I was there in time to return the keys, sent to them at the time, on the Monday saying the keys were never meant to go to witham, they were supposed to go to Chelmsford. They confirmed keys were collected (posted through Witham branch letterbox) and some time later (end of sept?) I received the check out inventory saying the clean I had done was insufficient but that I could NOT respond to this and had to wait for "liabilities stage". They then demanded I pay £320 for a clean with no evidence it was carried out and with no confirmation of what exactly was wrong with the professional clean I had already paid for. No opportunity was given for me to return to the company I employed to clean to get them back out to deal with whatever issues leaders had with the clean already done and so I contested the charges and it went to adjudication. They also wanted to charge me a full days rent, despite asking the keys to be returned to Witham by "close of day". Adjudicator reduced cleaning liabilities as only "light cleaning required" (I still feel opportunity should have been given to rectify by my company I employed and evidence of this alleged additional clean should have been provided!) and that was it, nothing mentioned about a full day rent being charged.

The ladies at Leaders were very helpful and friendly, I went in for some advice on a transaction I was trying to carryout, the three ladies in there couldn't have been nicer and more helpful if they tried, the lady named Michelle was so helpful as I had forgotten my glasses she actually read everything out for me, ànd helped me with the information, if I had to have done it on my own I would still have been there now, they were fantastic in fact I would say angels, I would strongly recommend them. SCAMMERS

When is ombudsman investigating Leaders’ illegal drip pricing scheme? Viewed a property. Submitted my application on the same day. I don’t hear back from the letting agent for some time which I find strange considering how responsive he was before. The next morning I get an unprompted call on my mobile from the letting agent to tell me someone else is interested in the property and the landlord will take my application as a priority if I pay their monthly subscription fees. I obviously said no to the subscription and my application was thrown in the bin. This is an ILLEGAL sales tactic under UK consumer law. If you’re considering properties from these scammers and they’re asking you to pay their subscription then my advice is to report them to the authorities.
