I found Miller Metcalfe staff in Walkden to be very good in terms of pursuing issues with my buyer and their solicitor, and the staff were always helpful and polite. However, I have knocked two stars off for the following reasons. The first deduction was because the staff seemed to be focused on the sale going through rather than maximising my income. I was encouraged to make concessions to my buyer, which didn't feel like they were totally in my corner. Having talked to friends who have moved recently, this isn't out of the ordinary at all, however I am currently buying a house through Normie and they have tried to rinse me for every pound they can get for their seller. This is what I expect of an estate agent. Overall, I felt that Miller Metcalfe were more interested in closing the sale (and getting paid) than maximising my income. The second deduction is because, after 3 months, my solicitor had not paid Miller Metcalfe my fee and the MD sent me (only cc. the solicitor) an email saying he was going to refer the debt to a collection agency in one working days' time if it wasn't paid. I replied saying this was unacceptable (I got no response) and then had a stressful morning chasing my incompetent solicitor to pay the fee. When I rang the MD to say it had been paid he replied, "hmm… yes, maybe I should have called you. That email wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at the solicitor." Well, yes, you absolutely should have called me (and addressed the email to the solicitor, or replied to my email...), but you didn't. Presumably because, like your staff seem to be, your focus was on getting your money rather than my well-being or good customer service. I have a heart condition and a pace-maker so really don't need that kind of stress. So, overall I would say Miller Metcalfe Walkden sales staff are competent, but as a business they seem to be more focused on their money than your money or well-being. I recommend you try Normie.

Everyone I have spoken to has been very pleasant, particularly at the start when they wanted the business. Once the property went live there were mix ups about viewings and also wrong information about who had made an offer. Once the offer was accepted we heard nothing from them until I got a call asking if we had completed. We were far from completing and it turned out they had mixed us up with another property. My main issue is their failure to ring back when they say they will. Nice people but very poor communication. Won’t be using again.

I have been using the services of Miller Metcalfe for several years. I have used their services to rent the property and also most recently to sell the house. There are professional and I had never had issues dealing with them. The key was communication and they always came back within 24-48hrs. I have to mention 2 individuals who made the difference. Danielle Hughes and Chris McGowan. Chris did a really good job in making sure the property is rented and all issues on the property are resolved amicably. Danielle help in negotiating with clients to sell the property was first class. She was patient, persistent and always positive. Her advice and suggestions during the selling process were very valuable. I would recommend Danielle and Chris to anyone wanting to sell or rent their property. Frank

Just bought a house with Miller Metcalfe, I had the most fantastic service from Jade who initially recommended the property to me after months of searching, it was completely from what I had looked at but she saw the potential and similarities to what we required and our new house is perfect and I fell in love straight away, she made the negotiations process seamless and stress free, if I had any questions or issues throughout the whole process she was straight onto it. She's an absolute star! I would definitely use Miller Metcalf again and recommend you to anyone I know!!! Thanks Again Jade!!!

We initially chose Miller Metcalfe because we know somebdy who works there, however we soon found out that the whole team were friendly and competent. We dealt with Ashley on a daily basis and to be honest I cant praise her highly enough, she was excellent! We sold our house within weeks of it going on the market and this was 2 weeks before Christmas, we hadnt even started looking for a new house at this point. If your looking to sell your home you should look no further than Miller Metcalfe they were absolutely fantastic and really helped us through what was a very stressful time. A big Thank You to Ashley and everyone at Miller Metcalfe.

I am so glad I took their advise on the sale price and indeed everything they did for us reflected their superior team work and very efficient and proficient work ethos. Everyone I had contact with from Jade, Kim, Susan and Emily were very professional, polite, pleasant and very helpful in all issues. I have absolutely no regrets to choosing this estate agent and am so pleased we sold the house in such a short time. Such a pleasant experience from start to finish.

Selling a property with this firm was like drawing teeth. Information was hard to come by, staff were irritable, crotchety, sometimes quite rude, and largely uncommunicative. I dealt with numerous different staff, who changed on a regular basis, most of whom hadn't visited the property, knew little about it, and generally gave the impression they cared even less. A sale was eventually agreed, at a price much lower than the initial valuation but it was to a buyer, who I initially engaged and showed round. In the closing stages I had difficulty in determining on whose behalf MM were acting on, mine or the buyers. Overall not a pleasant or satisfactory experience. I couldn't recommend this firm.

GoogleThe staff at the Harwood branch brilliantly progressed a sale at above the asking price to conclusion. I was remote from the property and without a vehicle for a time so they kindly organised regular security visits there until I was mobile again. Great service and professional sales progression.
