Avoid this Company

Totally unprofessionalBooked an appointment, had it confirmed (with a reference number). Chased them up to confirm timings, they had lost the appointment !Totally wasted my morning and ended up in numerous phone calls. Go elsewhere, I would hate to think how they deal with house sales based upon my experience - AVOID THEM.

BEWARE WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISING !!

BEWARE of everything they put in description as although they know it is lies they don't care ! Property took over 4 months to complete with a cash buyer and no chain ! They are also now advertising part of my property for sale with the next door property (owner of mine owned next door property as well ) When I pointed it out to them they said it was up to me to prove I owned it ,they were sooo rude !! They only sold it to me 4 months ago !! They refused to take it off and the owner was told and didn't care but still they continue to advertise it 3 weeks later !! So whoever buys next door won't know till they see the deeds when they are further down the line with the sale ! THIS IS MORALLY WRONG !!Trading standards here I come !!

OMG I have read the reviews on Keenans…

OMG I have read the reviews on Keenans and could not disagree more with them. Keenans came around on a Saturday took pictures etc. The house went on the systems on Monday morning by 12pm that day we had 12 viewings booked in for the Saturday. By Saturday afternoon the house was SOLD. We were kept informed all the way through the process the staff were amazing and helpful. WELL DONE. Keenans. I got one would strong recommend you .

Avoid, avoid, avoid like Covid

Right! Where to start? Buying so put in offer but they won't put STC on site or board? The vendor agreed price and then they still showing around! I started mortgage and legal costs incurred and still showing people around and advertising it. Called them up to be told will take off when survey goes to. Did so and gave them details then they say will take off when survey comes back. Came back then wanted to see deposit. Showed them they wanted mortgage offer. Showed them then they wanted actual offer not in principle. This went on for 3 weeks and then told them to shove it up the Niagra. Oh, at one point was told the vendor had someone mess him about so he wanted 10k deposit in his account!!!! Told them illegal and are they nutz. Apologies and then same crap of this and that. Madness.

Do NOT use Keenans

Already had 2 sales collapse due to the poor communication from Keenan’s in Accrington. Sophie on the sales team has been the only member of staff who communicates well and follows up on her promises! This is the 3rd offer we’ve accepted and again the progressions team have no urgency about them, lie and do not communicate anything to you so I won’t be surprised if this sale falls through too. And we were informed by our solicitor that the sale had fallen through and Keenan’s knew nothing about it and lied! Never use this company they have been shocking from the start and have cost us a lot of money. When I asked to complain they will not give you details of their manager or senior to complain too or tell you how to formally complain.

VERY POOR SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION

Keenans Estate Agents Burnley I don’t know where to start. Keenans staff in Burnley are very rude and unpleasant. If you are buying a property from them you definitely won’t be getting a good deal instead you will be getting ripped off. I have been observing them for over 5 years now. They will over price the property anywhere between £25-£130 for an average property. Once during a viewing I pointed out to their adviser that they have over priced the property. His reply was “Yeh but we do sell them”. They will lie to you about having higher offers to put you in a position where you may feel that you need to increase your offer. If you back off you will notice that the property will still be on the market 6 months down the line. If they don’t like your offer for a property, they will answer you there and then without consulting it with the owner. They speak to you like you have committed a crime. If you ever have to deal with them you will notice lack of training and customer service skills. They are ignorant and incompetent.

They got information wrong on the booklet that could have affected the sale of the property adversely and didn't collect all of the keys for the property when the sale eventually went through. If I could give this estate agents minus 5 star review I would. They are the most unprofessional agents I have ever come across. We were messed about for 7 monthson the sale of a property. The final straw being when they advised us to take an offer on our property without the correct due dilligance in their part. We waited 3 months before finding out that the buyers mortgage in principle was 6 months old and the buyer was actually unable to buy the property as she was unable to get a mortgage. I would never recommend and would never use them again.

Absolute joke of a place. We saw a house online that got listed Friday night rang first thing Saturday morning for a viewing for asap, we asked to view Monday but was told they arnt open on a Monday so arranged to view the property for Tuesday, couple hours before due to viewing we got phone call to say house sold on the Monday bare in mind they wasn't open Mondays I questioned them asking how it could sell when the estate agents where closed the reply was who told you we was closed on a Monday we are always open apart from bank holidays. So basically we lost out on a house for no reason. We went for a viewing on another property few weeks back, we was first ones in to view and we was being shoved out of the door before we could ask questions so they could get more people in to view. We put an offer in and before they even passed our offer on to vendors they wanted us to send them our proof of deposit in the bank, I get mortgage in principle but not bank statements, our offer wasn't even accepted so they shouldn't of been asking for confidential paper work. Another house we was looking at just as we sold ours, the seller of the house wasn't taking anymore offers but Keanans took it upon there self to ring our estate agents who was selling our home to see what position we was in for buying even though the other vendor wasn't taking anymore offers. I just hope our forever home isn't being sold with Keanans cause I really dont want to have to deal with them. Total waste of space!!

We rented a house through Keenans Accrington over 3 years ago now. I’m leaving this 1 star review now as today I discovered that they had written a fake positive review using my husband’s name to display on Facebook. I was looking at the history of the old village we used to live in and just happened to stumble across their post with a photo of the house we rented. To be honest, we didn’t really engage much with the estate agents during our tenancy. We dealt with the landlord directly after 6 months (or 12 months, can't remember!) who was fantastic! It was only when we were moving out that we had to deal with the agents doing viewings which wasn’t a pleasant experience from what I remember. The agent would knock the door once and before I had a chance to get to the door (my baby was quite young then), he’d already had the key in the door letting himself in. Another time, the agent just showed up with people for a viewing without telling us they were coming beforehand. No respect for the current tenants whatsoever! Anyone with a young baby will know how massively inconvenient it is to just show up without warning! I did feel bad for the people coming to view the house but it’s the agent’s fault they couldn’t come in! The house was then sold and the new owners thought it would be okay to keep popping in whenever they wanted, but only because Keenans said it was okay. I had to phone them up to remind them that we still legally lived there until our moving out date & they couldn’t do that, so couldn’t they just wait until we had left which was only a few days away. Thankfully after that they left us alone in peace to pack up and leave. I wasn’t going to bother leaving a review but after seeing they had written a fake one from my husband (he would never say all that stuff they wrote), I felt I needed to leave an HONEST one despite it being 3 years later! Are agents even allowed to do this? Dishonesty at its finest!
