Intercounty Saffron Walden guided us through our selling process. Blake and Karen make a brilliant combination with local knowledge, general knowledge of home buying and selling mixed with enthusiasm and personability needed for negotiating with their clients. We always felt there was someone there to answer the phone when we needed instant reassurance. Nothing was too much trouble. This is the second home we've sold with them. It follows five years of them managing our property while we were abroad and our home was tenanted. Equally efficient service, with slick administrative back up to take away any hiccups that are bound to arise while being an absent landlord. Well done Intercounty!

sorry I never give anyone 5 ⭐ the team here has done a brilliant job helping me to find a new home, I first popped in to them on the Wednesday to register my interest & details, on the Thursday (next day) they told me about a place & was booked in for the Monday afternoon as it takes me over 2 hours to get there, I made an offer on same say, got the yes next day, moving in about 4 weeks. so a big thank you to Ryan & Harry & all of the team. 👍👍👍👍

Avoid this agent at all costs

Avoid! They don't answer calls, they don't return calls, they value low and when they can't get results try and knock you on price. There is far more paperwork with Intercounty than with other perfectly good agents, it seems like they deliberately delay and overcomplicate the process of marketing your property. You are passed from one person to another, from pillar to post so there's no continuity. They say they're going to do certain things and then don't - and don't provide the reasons why they weren't done. I wonder if its because they have so many clients that they can't service them all properly, its a numbers game to them - they don't actually care about achieving the results the client wants, they're more interested in bagging a deal for their own figures. I will never ever use Intercounty again and I will certainly never recommend them to anyone. There are other far better agents in Bishops Stortford who will gladly come back back to you with feedback from viewings - and in fact put offers IN WRITING - like the estate agency act says they should (Intercounty failed to do this on several occasions). All in all Intercounty are frankly victims of their own success. They used to have a great name in the town and the market share to support that - now they havelost their way. Do not use Intercounty if you want a high level of customer service - you simply will not get it!

Time to move on....

There were many positive things that could be said about Intercounty previously but over the course of the last 12/18 months the service provided to landlords has fallen off a cliff. Multiple call and emails needed to actually get anything done, errors in payments and, oh when they decided to close an office and sell the rental book to another firm, informed me at 8.55am on the day the transfer took place. Very very poor considering the fees they levy and the image to portray.

We recently sold our property just outside of Saffron Walden with the assistance of Intercounty. We had tried a few other local agents previously but they put no effort in to try to sell the property, just waited for someone to look on Rightmove. The marketing was excellent and the photography was by far the best we had seen. Their communication between offices is what sold our house. We were kept up to date with progress especially as it got stressful at the very end of the process. Would definitely recommend.
