I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mellissa Carrington from Bairstow eves for helping us to rent a beautiful house which perfectly matches our expectation. Before we came to UK, we read a lot of articles about the difficulties in renting a property in UK and were told that we might need to wait for long time for a feedback or even need to keep calling the agent for reply. Surprisingly, I received a telephone call from Mellissa on early Saturday morning after sending my e-mail in less than 24 hours. Mellissa is very patient and understands our needs very well. She quickly recommended a house in a perfect location for my family. Mellissa, as well as her colleagues are very helpful in the whole processes. From communication with the landlord, organising the tenancy agreement to keys pick up, they show their professionalism. Dee Lake has been our point of contact with Bairstow Eves in Beeston over the past nine months. Due to Covid and supply issues, estimates for completing our new-build bungalow drifted from five months through six and then eight and finally nine month. The party buying our existing property had a number of issues with respect to mortgage, deposit and the ever moving completion date. Throughout all this, Dee has somehow been able to make sense of the loop between ourselves and my solicitor, the builders and their legal team and the buyer and his legal representative and keep up updated. I recently bought a house sold through Bairstow Eves. The good: the team were happy to pass on all questions from me or the seller, even when they thought they were odd questions. This improved communication. The team were polite and friendly, and kept the sale progressing. They chased both me and the seller, which was really helpful when some paperwork got held up. I appreciated their knowledge of the process, and their understanding of the local market. And I love my new house. The not so good: The first viewing I booked, I was emailed a different time to the one the team had written down, and it was very politely said that this was my fault. However, they did book me onto the next viewing. It feels like the team is quite stretched at times and could do with more people. There was quite a hard sell approach to viewings, and I felt pressurised at times to view properties I wasn't interested in. Summary: If I was buying again, I would feel quite positive about buying a house sold through this office.
