GoogleI had a horrible experience with this company, unprofessional and unresponsive. They would do what ever trick to take your every penny. The property had many issues and they wouldnt fix them untill we put a bad review. We got a call saying that they'd only fix it if we removed the review and got in bad terms with us. Definitley avoid them!

1* Dear Raquel We're assuming your partners review wasn't enough and you needed to add yours too - 7 months later - in order to boost your profile. It wasn't the best experience for us either walking into the apartment to the smell of cat litter, and to what can only be described as a cat sanctuary! We also wouldn't recommend you as tenants either as you clearly will do whatever you can in order to find a problem when there really wasn't one, making life difficult for hard working people trying their best to accommodate the needs of attention seeking key board warriors like yourself. We tried our best to get your intercom system and bathroom extractor fixed as quickly as we could during a pandemic when restrictions were in place, and in the end both jobs were completed. Best of luck for the future Tom

GoogleTHEY WILL ASK YOU TO MAKE AN OFFER TO INCREASE THE PRICE AFTER THE VIEWING SAYING THAT OTHERS WILL PAY A BETTER ONE, WHEN THEY ACHIEVE A HIGHER PRICE THEN THE ONE ADVERTISED THEY RENT IT. THE PRICE SHOWN ONLINE IS JUST TO ATTRACT CLIENTS AFTER THE VIEWING THEY MADE LIKE AN AUCTION This agency provided a bad service and didn’t behave in a professional way to the limits of legality. I was looking for a flat to rent urgently, after a couple of hours they advertised a studio flat and I was one of the first to call and I wanted to rent it straight away but it wasn’t possible because the agency said that I need to view it first then I can rent it, so I waited 2 days for the viewing appointment. After the viewing I told them to send me all the details for the payments and to confirm the rental price, he told me that if I want the flat I have to make an offer superior from the rental price advertised (I was the first to do the viewing) because they had more people in the list that wanted the flat as well. I told him that I have no intention to do an offer because its not an auction I wanted to rent it with the price advertised. After I didn’t hear from them, I waited the whole day for the agency to contact me then I sent them an email. The day after they didn’t call me neither so I gave them a call to see why they didn’t call back. They said that someone else offered a better price for the rent and its not available. After the call I received an email that unfortunately I didn’t get the flat. AFTER THIS THEY SENT ME A LINK OF ANOTHER FLAT THAT IS FAR AWAY FROM THE LOCATION THAT I AM INTERESTED AND THAT HAS BEEN FOR A LONG TIME ON THE MARKET.

Dear Antonino Im very sorry to read of your experience you had with Rhubarb Property. Please be assured that we do not hold any types of 'auctions' when negotiating offers, undertaking viewings or advertising our landlords properties. What i assume you may be referring to is your experience of wanting to view a property that had incurred a lot of interest at that particular time, and in turn had offers given over the asking price. All of our offers are legally put our landlords and it is their decision on what offers to accept. Sometimes timing can be an issue and if you are not available to view on a certain day or are not in a position to reserve a property before someone else, you can sometimes miss out on the property you want. If we would have sent you another property as a comparison it would have been of a similar nature or size or at the very least in a similar location. Please feel free to contact myself directly if you would like to discuss this any further, and i would also be more than happy to help you find a suitable property again in future whereby i will ensure your experience will be a much better one.

GoogleThe property I’m staying in is let through Rhubarb. Anytime there has been an issue they respond straight away, send someone out immediately and keep you up to date the entire time - all in a friendly and professional manner. This is especially true of Rhiannan, who has been my point of contact throughout my time in Brum - thank you! On another note, this has been the first time I was renting after education, which was quite daunting at first, in a city I’ve never been to. I was guided the through the entire process, spoken to with respect (i.e. not in a condescending way due to my age - flashbacks from uni!) and found them to be always approachable with any queries.

GoogleI am so happy with Rhubarb! They help us to really understand the worth of our property and make all de right decisions before putting it in the market. They’ve taken care of everything and everything has gone so swiftly with the tenants. I’ve dealt with state agents before and they are usually a nightmare. For the first time this didn’t feel like dealing with a state agent but with someone that has your best interests at heart. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to rent their property.

FacebookDefinitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Staff are very uninterested and rude, they hang up the phone, shout/speak over you when trying to explain, give false reasons for attempting to deduct money from your deposit! Have tried to contact management but each time I call I am met with the same rude and unhelpful staff member! I am disgusted by how many unfortunate people this company must have scammed! STAY AWAY!!

Dear Teigan, we're very sorry that you feel the need to write such accusations about us on our Facebook page that are completely false, and just to reiterate the situation to anyone reading this please find a list of issues that needed attending to that were picked up on the checkout report upon you leaving the room you rented from us: Broken windows lock, professional clean, carpet steam clean, mattress steam clean, stains on the walls that needed repainting, toilet seat, towel rail and toilet brush replacement due to lack of ventilation in the bathroom.
