We would not hesitant in recommending Robertson Homes from the experience we have had so far.We spent many months looking at various developments and builders, and by far, Robertson were the most accommodating in terms of visiting showhomes, answering our initial questions and the reservation process. We had our hearts set on a specific plot, and Kim kept us updated thorough-out the release and coming to market. Whenever we visit site, or call or email, Kim is more than happy to chat through our options. There is a great deal of choice, and I am slightly indecisive (!) but Kim and Greg have been completely patient and happy to answer all questions (even my slightly daft ones).Even with Covid we feel we've been kept up date with progress, and have a realistic idea of what to expect in the coming months! We can't wait to be in our new home!

Dargarvel "Perfect" in every way so far..

Hi, Having read most of the posts i thought i would share my experience so far with Robertson homes at Dargarvel village.Firstly, the buying process and assistance has been first class, really. Great advice, timely responses and open dialogue held for any clarifications required. Reassuring from the start, credit to Linda (sales executive) for her help so far. Secondly, choices and upgrades which are plentiful, I find Robertson will try to accommodate as much as possible and as stated above, have given reasonable responses with explanations as to why certain requests have not been possible, perfectly acceptable to me. Linda has been extremely helpful and patient during this entire process.Summary of Experience so far - Genuine 10/10.Improvement opportunities- Honestly don't have any suggestions that would make things simpler for me at this stage. Robertson homes...Linda at Dargarvel is a credit to you ….. quietly confident the builders and finishing team will be as well. update soon!

Glenburn Manor

We have now been in our beautiful new home for 9 weeks and are thoroughly delighted with the standard and quality of the finish provided by Robertson Homes. From start to finish, Fraser, the sales executive was informative, professional and extremely helpful, making the entire buying process as stress free as moving house can possibly be.Since moving in, the site manager Dean has been very attentive, carrying out inspections and arranging any little repairs that need to be carried out.Overall we are absolutely over the moon with our Robertson Home at Glenburn Manor and would not hesitate to recommend the company.

We have been looking at Robertson homes…

We have been looking at Robertson homes at Glendevon Grange and have tried to reserve on every release but keep missing out due to the popular demand. Robertson homes are one of the few house builders that have several house designs we would be happy to chose from. I wonder though if there is a fairer way to do the reservation process when you have so many people looking to purchase? The service from the sales representative George has been outstanding. He has spent hours answering our questions and reassuring us we will be able to secure our new home. We looked at all of the developers close by and could have secured a home with one of them but we felt we would be compromising on the style and layout that we desperately want. We feel the homes on offer from Robertson are miles apart and the garden rooms are just incredible.

Excellent House Purchase Experience

From the outset, our house purchase experience at Calderwood in East Calder has been very professional. Both Kim (Sales Executive) and Greig (Site Manager) were maticulous in their approach, detailing every step of the build along the way. Whenever we had any questions, about the build or the choices that were available, we always received a prompt reply. Our forever home at Bowes Manor

We finally have our keys to our beautiful Robertson Home at Bowes Manor, and we absolutely love it. The fixtures, fittings and finishes are to a really high standard which is one of many reasons why we chose a Robertson Home. Our home is just stunning throughout. Marie and Chris have been outstanding, really informative throughout the full buying process, nothing is ever an issue. On our day of completion we were welcomed by Chris and Marie at our home, they went through the property completion in detail ensuring that we were given all the necessary warranty documentation and contact numbers should we need them. Our experience with Robertson Homes at Bowes Manor has been 5*.

Robertson Homes have put profits before…

Robertson Homes have put profits before children and cannot be trusted. They have failed to build Dargavel Primary on time as contractually agreed - between the space of two weeks the narrative changed from the whole school would be ready - to be school building would not at all be finished at all. The result of this means that hundreds of children will now need to try and squeeze into Bishopton Primary School is complete. This will be an overwhelming experience for the children, particularly be very high number of P1s. Robertson Homes need to rectify this situation immediately and open Dargavel School in August as was contractually agreed.Edit in reply to the below- I am interested to know how you are so aware of the situation at Dargavel Primary if you are not the company responsible for it? It does not seem right or correct that you should answer on behalf on them. I do not think you would reply on their behalf, therefore the only alternative explanation would be that Robertson Construction and Robertson Homes are the same company and therefore I shall not remove my review.

Fantastic experience from the start!!!

Fantastic experience from start to finish!!!! We choose a Delano house in the Ness Castle development in Inverness and the sales manager Graeme has been absolutely fantastic!!!! Went well over and above his duties! Sending us photos, getting samples sorted out etc for us! First class service and a top guy all round!!!Did the handover today with him and the site manager Gary and they were both very very helpful with explaining everything and couldn't fault any of it! The finish to the house was very very good!!! A few minor snags which they are gonna put right in the coming weeks. But overall amazing!!! And would highly recommend them.

Quality isnt great, after sales care doesn't happen - Wynyard NE.

Moved into our home over a year ago. Still haven't had issues fixed even though whole streets of houses have been built and sold. Quality of finish is poor compared to other builders, almost impossible to get things fixed as they use contractors for everything and have no on site customer support. Complaining does not achieve anything, our issues are not major but being ignored is so demoralising. Worst new home experience we have had in the 5 we have bought to date.Some of our issues:- Built with missing lintels- Wall cassettes puncturing through plasterboard- Bathroom tiled with wrong tiles- Windows, scratched, chipped don't close- Front door doesn't lock - Heating wired wrong way round, upstairs was downstairs- Painting was terrible, all over tiles and woodworks- Electricals didn't work in kitchen- Back door scratched- Paint on brickworksI could go on....be careful when buying. Get a snagging company in! What is sad is that the design of the homes are great, they just don't seem to take ownership for the contractors who do all the work for them.

Poor quality build and appalling after service.

I can honestly say that I would never purchase a Robertson's House ever again. This was our first home and as a result we were very naive and probably too trusting of Robertsons. Right from the Day we moved in we have endured and had to overcome, a constant stream of faults and are still, 7 years later, finding faults with almost all aspects of the build. Quality of workmanship,particularly the Plumbing, is almost laughable. If I hadn't seen the state of it for myself I wouldn't have believed it. From what I have discovered it would seem that my Home is largely held together with 'no more nails' and a prayer....Customer service was so bad that we eventually gave up and sorted all the initial issues by ourselves. However, as I said previously, we are still regularly discovering issues. By way of an example, we have recently extended our home. During the build we were shown a catalogue of faults dating from the initial build. The tradesman was actually laughing at the standard of the work! In summary, unless you wish to own a cold, leaky and labour intensive home. I would look at other builders.

Excellent Journey start to finish!

The experience we have had throughout our journey with Robertson homes from first contact to exchange has been nothing short of amazing. From our first contact Diane has been fantastic. Not only has essential communication and information sharing been great, she has also ensured it has felt personal and been so supportive within our journey. The site team have also been amazing, Robert has been available to answer any questions and queries and kept us up to date with everything. Our move in was the smoothest move we have experienced and any issues were dealt with really quickly and in line with restrictions currentlyIn place. As one of the earlier houses in this part of the development there are still building works around us, however we have been so impressed with how this is managed and the consideration given to those already in their homes, I actually think I’llMiss it when it’s finished! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Robertson homes to anyone considering a new build purchase. The customer care, selection choices and finishes have been great and our whole experience has been so positive and felt completely personal to us not just the same as everyone else which we recognise will have been even tougher with the current situation and restrictions in place.Thank you so much to everyone at Robertson Homes from our whole family, we are delighted to be in our beautiful home to start our next chapter.

Awful experience

Awful experience with Robertson’s. After months of delays to the completion date, I moved in just at the start of the first lockdown. Some of the work on the house had not even been completed when I moved in. My snagging list was huge but, understandably, this was put on hold. Communication about this on resumption of services was poor. Contractors didn’t turn up to appointments. There was a considerable turnover of contractors. Much of the snagging work has been poor or non-existent - the site manager has marked things as completed when they haven’t been addressed at all. I’ve had to spend hours on the phone to various contractors sorting appointments etc myself. My neighbours have had the same experiences, being fobbed off with constant excuses and, at times, rude responses. The wardrobe interiors offered to me were not actually compatible with the size of wardrobes in the house, and customer service has done nothing about this nearly a year on. I’ve reported broken roof tiles, and nothing has been done. Having been at home for large parts of the year with kids at home, I and my neighbours have complained multiple times about the foul language of the contractors on site being shouted at volume all day long. Overall, there’s a feel of cost-cutting and lack of care throughout, but it’s the ‘we”ll take your money then leave you to deal with the poor quality yourself’ attitude that is the worst. This was the first time I’ve bought a new build home, and I’m appalled if this is a normal experience.

5* service at Bowes Manor

My wife and I are in the process of buying our forever home at Bowes Manor. Buying a home can be one of the most stressful times in your life, however we have nothing but positivity to say about our experience with Marie at Robertson Homes. From the outset Marie has gone above and beyond, she is very informative, answers any queries with expedience and endeavours to provide the best service possible. Marie has made the purchasing of our forever home become a reality, she is an absolute credit to Robertson Homes. Furthermore I would like to mention Chris, the site manager. We had our meeting with Chris a couple of weeks ago, he went through the plans and drawings of our property in detail. Chris also took our personal needs into consideration and has kindly adapted the fencing to ensure complete enclosure of the rear garden making it dog friendly. We cannot thank Marie and Chris enough, we looking forward to moving into our new home in a few weeks time

Could not care less company

When lock down came due to covid we were hounded by Robertson for the money. They did not care that we were not allowed to move at that point. Once we got the keys and could get a look at the apartment what a disappointment. The only room that had nothing wrong with it was the spare bedroom and in that room we had to pay for a wardrobe to be installed as it did not come as standard. In the on suite the toilet was not secured down properly there is no shaver socket and when i asked about it was told it is not installed in basic accommodation. In the master bedroom where the bed goes there is only one socket and one on another wall but it is not for the tv as it has one opposite the bed when i asked about this was told it's not on the plans looks like some one has put it on the plans in the wrong place so not getting a socket will probably have to put one in at our own cost. The handle on the bedroom door came of also there was also some cosmetic work in the hall way . In the living room and kitchen area the door leading out to the garden area was covered in cement and we were told this would be cleaned before we moved in but was not also it has taken some paint of the door. There were two holes above the kitchen cupboards. The door closure started pulling the surround panel away . The cupboard doors were not level then they started coming loose and now one has fallen off and a second one is just about falling off the kitchen was installed by Riverside Kitchens of Elgin. Also we had to clean the floor as it was filthy after a few weeks we started to see damp appearing on the wall by the door leading to the garden area it looks as if they had not done an inspection before handing it over. I did a lot of the snagging myself because of covid but the after sales service is slow so i could not in all honesty recommend Robertson Homes as a place to buy. I also forgot the shower in the main bathroom leaked very badly also the internet has not been installed properly.

We reserved a home with Robertson in the summer due to a relocation from Birmingham to Scotland and we didn’t really have a clue about areas or places to live. Everyone has been so helpful and patient in helping us find the right site and plot and also as we had a few hiccups with our own sale getting delayed. Diane at the St Margaret’s site in particular has been incredibly patient and helpful and you can really tell both sales and the site manager care about the quality of the home they are handing over to you! This will be the 4th new build we’ve bought and by far the best service and house!
