I have been looking for a rental-property with friends to live in for the 2020/21 Academic Year. Mr. Jordan Liepa has been dealing with our enquiries and viewings and has been incredibly helpful, offering a professional and efficient service during our house-hunt. Rav, Hugo and Charlotte at Chancellors were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Even though everyone kept recommending other agencies to us, we had a good feeling about them from day one when they came over to visit our property for a valuation and we’re so glad we trusted our instincts and chose them. They made the whole process of selling our house so much easier and less stressful. Always friendly, professional, and quick to respond to any questions we had, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They kept us updated every step of the way and gave great advice throughout. Easily the best lettings agency by far! The only one that would consistently be in touch with my sister and I and help us work around our work schedules and still find a suitable place. Also amazing at helping us considering we have a dog! I can’t recommend them more highly! Zsofia was always attentive and just overall lovely to speak to and see at viewings. She was great at answering all our questions and finding information if she didn’t have it at the time. We were renting a property that was let managed by chancellors. They are absolutely useless. Any email sent would take weeks to month to get a reply. Sending follow ups became our full time job and even after moving out 2 months ago, we still have to send them constant emails. The finance department in particular is bad. They have previously made errors that results in us and our garuantor being harassed for “missed rent” when we had agreed to reduce our rent for some items we had to buy for the flat. Now 2 months after we have moved out, they are holding money that we are owed hostage and keep claiming they are sending it back but it never comes. Honestly, a shocking level of service and we haven’t experienced anything worse in 9 years combined renting (even as students).

Note: This review is for Zsofia Szam only - and not for anyone else at Chancellors. Zsofia, importantly, understands a customer relationship. Zsofia introduced me to this property and there was never any pressure. Zsofia simply provided me, very politely, with all the facts so I could make a judgement call on the right property for me. This approach works so much better than someone pushing too much and annoying the customer in the process - and this happened with others! Zsofia stood out. Two months into the tenancy agreement, a different Chancellors employee visited for the first building inspection - a very poor visit - someone that saw tenants as second class and subservient; this employee not even having the courtesy to respond to emails. I was so disappointed with how I was treated that I intended to terminate the contract at its minimum duration. Thankfully, Zsofia completed the second building inspection visit today - everything the first person wasn’t - quick, efficient, very polite and respectful of private property when taking photographs. Very smooth. I hope Zsofia is in a management role soon as the manner with which she conducts herself is exemplary and this needs to feed down through other staff - ensuring uniformity in excellence - and not have the current position of having some very good but also some very poor staff. Thank you Zsofia - you certainly do your bit - and a lot more - for Chancellors.

Good Day to whom it may concern. My wife and I have been looking for a property to rent since we moved out of our rental in Yarnton due to unforseen circumstances. We tried various companies and areas but to no avail. I contacted Zsofia of Chancellors Bicester who I had spoken to from South Africa in June of last year. I explained the predicament we where in and that we had been gazumped on a property we where buying at the last moment. Zsofia went out of her way to see if there was any rentals that would take dogs and also have a six month break clause. She certainly did this by finding us two properties to look at of which the second one was just what we were looking for including a fenced garden for the dogs. Thank you Zsofia I do hope the rest of the rental goes as smooth as our dealings with you.

To start on a high, the estate agent actually was very helpful. Answered any questions I had and was very kind. The issues started with communication. I was given a sales progressor who failed to give thorough updates and when they did, they were weeks after my solicitor gave me one. When I communicated this to them, they got very defensive, deflected and I was passed onto another sales progressor. No accountability taken. Again, same happened with the new progressor, slow/no updates, but I just cracked on and waited (almost pulled out at this point as I was now on the 5th month of waiting and the thought of them gaining commission on such an awful service really annoyed me). Completion day then came around, a day that is supposed to be so exciting and luckily was but only due to the people I was with. CHANCELLORS DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO I WAS OR THAT I WAS THERE TO COLLECT THE KEYS. They didn't even know about the property even though it was their listing! They turned me away and I had to wait 6 hours until my solicitor gave me the go ahead to try and collect the keys again. I came back and was pretty annoyed (rightly so) and the person who gave me the keys tried to justify the situation by telling me how bad their experience was when they first bought a property?! I literally couldn't be arsed at that point. When I finally did collect the keys, someone was still vacant in the property! Luckily they were very kind but I didn't think it was very appropriate.

I found Frankie Poole's customer service to be exceptional. I walked into the offices of Chancellor Bicester at 8am instead of her requesting that I return at 9 am, as the offices open at that time. She graciously and cheerfully opened the door and offered me a seat. She handed me a form and instructed me to come during office hours. When I returned, she was still extremely pleasant and walked me through the process in detail and with the interest of meeting my needs as she wanted to understand my situation. When I left her offices after an hour, she had already emailed me about five properties to view. I chose just one property. The property I selected met all of my requirements.We have signed a written agreement for renting the house. I greatly value Frankie Poole's services.
