Zsofia was extremely helpful to us in finding a new place to rent that met our families needs when our landlord decided to sell. She was attentive and friendly and assured us that we she will find us a place in time and she sure did. Thank you so much

Where to start... My partner & I were planning on relocating to the area and enquired about a property advertised online. To start, Chancellors Bicester were quite helpful and showed us 3 other potential properties. We were booked in to view all of them (one viewing cancelled on the day) and were pleased with one of the properties, so made an offer. One of the properties we viewed had a very unusual situation with the landlord where they had an offer through Chancellors, as well as an offer through a friend. The landlord hadn't accepted either offer, and seemed to be messing everyone (including Chancellors) around. Regardless, this doesn't look great on Chancellors dealing with such sketchy and unreliable clients. My partner & I made sure all relevant documentation and information required to proceed with our offer was completed quickly and sent to Chancellors for them to make an offer to the landlord. On the phone we were told our offer had been accepted, and with the property being vacant we were asked if could we move in 4 weeks earlier, which we couldn't. However, we were able to be accommodating and managed to organise for us to move in 2 weeks earlier than originally planned. We chased multiple times for written confirmation of the offer being accepted and proceeding to the next step (which was never received), this is where things started going down south very quickly with Chancellors Bicester. All of a sudden, work needed to get one to the property (which wasn't a condition of our offer or the agreement moving forward). We then were told we were unlikely to move in at the agreed date and it would be a couple/few weeks later than expected - which would have left my partner & I temporarily homeless due to us accommodating the landlord's timeline and requests. We consistently requested for the pre-rental agreement checks process to start, of which we were fobbed off by Chancellors Bicester, saying the landlord doesn't want to start the process or look at providing a written contract without the work being completed on the property. This wouldn't have been completed until our original move-in date. We later found out our application was never properly processed (when speaking to a different Chancellors branch, who said they didn't see our application or advanced situation on their system (which is connected up to all other branches). They confirmed that they had seen other information in their system, such as viewings and email correspondence. Every time we called our contact at Chancellors Bicester, they were "always on the other line" and would take days to return my call. They also slipped up one occasion saying that they saw me calling in but couldn't answer as they were "just so busy". When I called on a different or a withheld number, conveniently our contact always picked up and was caught off guard. My partner called on different occasions and the situation was always presented in an exaggerated positive light, which wasn't the case, nor was it represented in that way to me during the advanced discussions when things were getting worse. We would have never know the above information if we hadn't chased up or spoken to other branches of our own accord. This branch was horrendous and nothing like the service we experienced with the other Chancellors branches. We had to withdraw interest in the property in the end, as we were running out of time to find, view and proceed with other properties. They couldn't get my first name right - one day I was Alan, Andrew or James, nor could they spell my surname correctly. I would avoid Chancellors Bicester at all costs, unless you're happy with poor service, lack of communications or being told outright lies on a regular basis.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Well where do you start. Firstly this is not a reflection on the Sales team. They have been pleasurable to communicate with but little they can do in terms of letting. Office Manager????????? Who ? THE LETTINGS TEAM ARE A JOKE. TIMOTHY IN PARTICULAR!!!!! NO RESPONSE, LITTLE CORRESPONDANCE AND POOR COMMUNICATION. The background. A young couple apply to rent a property. The young lady is 28 weeks pregnant and looking to up size due to arrival and a growing family. Usual viewings etc takes place and an application is applied for to rent a property. All the paperwork etc is submitted and the couple await the response from letting team and landlord after compulsory checks are complete. During this period Chancellors are advising the couple to hand notice of termination to their current letting agreement with another landlord. They DO NOT take this advice until 100% the letting agreement is signed by all parties. This was a struggle as the letting team did not know a particular body part from their elbow. 15 Days after signed agreement an email is received from Chancellors informing the couple that the landlord has withdrawn. NO REASON OR EXPLANATION. JUST AN EMAIL. NO PHONE CALL FROM LETTING TEAM OFFERING ANY OTHER PROPERTIES OR ADVICE!!!!! JUST AN EMAIL. There is now a young couple 28 weeks pregnant having handed in their Notice to terminate soon to be homeless. GREAT WORK CHANCELLORS!!!!!!!!!!

I was acting as guarantor on this property and would like to understand why the landlady has withdrawn. Surely a phone call would have been more appropriate, a simple courtesy!!!!

Chancellors asked several times to come and update the valuation on our property. We arranged for 1400hrs today. At 1410 nobody had arrived and so I called the office ….. 1st lie - I was told that I had cancelled the appointment by the lad who answered the phone, no I hadn't, why would I be ringing to find out where Chris was? 2nd lie - Oh we tried to ring you several times this morning to check you would be in......that's strange as I was in all morning and have no missed calls!! Its better to tell the truth than to try and come up with pathetic excuses which can be checked. I have told them I have no faith in them and to take me off their books. Very disappointing service after my wife and I spent hours tidying the inside and outside of the house.

Became apparent that the strategy was to bait & switch. Inflate the offer price to hook you into a contract, try to upsell conveyancing to you for their £500 commission and then drive the offer price down as you get frustrated over time. Consider carefully!

I was assisted by Amy Midlane and Leisa Copper to rent my new home and both have been fantastic from start to finish, super friendly, really helpful and kept in touch every step of the way checking in with me, making sure I understood everything. Leisa went above and beyond to help me get together everything I needed for the references and took time to make sure I could do everything I needed to before I move in. And Amy made sure everything went through without any issues. I've been really impressed and would definitely recommend Chancellors on the basis of this experience.

We just recently bought a house through Chancellors and the experience was fantastic. We arranged to see some properties and they showed us everything they had in our price range in one day on a Saturday (important because I work out of town). John Bouwer was the agent who showed us around and was very knowledgable, friendly and full of advice and nothing was too much trouble. We saw the house we loved and had to move extremely quickly as the seller needed to be out in 8 weeks! John was instrumental in ensuring we managed to do this acting as the go between and hurrying people along. Throughout the process John was exceptionally professional and friendly keeping us well informed and calm throughout, nothing was too much trouble with regular contact via phone or text even in the evenings and at weekends. I would highly recommend John and the team at Chancellors to anyone selling or buying in the area.

I cannot say enough good things about Chancellors in general. We have been customers of theirs since 2003 and have always enjoyed excellent personal service from them. They have always gone that extra mile - that's why we've stayed with them so long and will continue to support them. Of particular note is the long-suffering and endlessly patient Mary Hughes who puts up with demanding clients such as ourselves! She really pulls out all the stops to make sure we secure the best options, and she is incredibly quick and efficient in dealing with issues. Thanks Mary for all your hard work. And well done to Chancellors in general for your excellent service. Here's to many more years.

Omg, boiler broke down on the coldest day of the year. I spoke to Sarah, Courtney and Danny the gas engineer and had the most fabulous customer service ever. Danny facetimed me (bless him- had had to look at my morning face) after Courtney called him out and explained the issue. Danny talked me through it and I fixed it in ten seconds instead of him having to come all the way out. I am so genuinely pleased with this service. Thanks for coming to work today.

Id like to thank our property manager Simon Butt for being so helpful every step of the way with our property. It is our first rented accomodation and the house was not ready when we moved in. Locks and windows did not work, the washing machine broke within a month and service men have been called out on around 4 seperate occasions but Simon was there with an answer as soon as we asked him for help and handled everything. If not for him then the whole sitation would have been so much more stressful but he was there replying to emails and calling repairmen as soon as we found a problem. Any problems were resolved within a week or two. Thank you for all your hard work, quick responses and for being a great support line for us!

Dear Chancellors team. we are extremely disappointed with the situation which resulted from your negligence. We moved in to an apartment managed by you with a car park run by a private company. You were supposed to provide us with a parking permit for a space in that car park (as it is included in the rent) but you have not. As the move in date was Friday afternoon and we had to wait until 7pm for the cleaning company hired by you, we could not contact you about that issue over the weekend. There was nowhere else to park outside the premise so we parked where I was supposed to and received two parking tickets on separate days as a result of that. I called you about that fact and it took you a week and a half to provide me with a replacement permit. We felt that it is unfair for us to pay the fine since we had the right to park there. First we appealed to the parking management company trying to explain the situation and highlighting the fact that I had the right to park from day one… without any luck. In this case we expect you to refund us a total of 120 pounds for the parking tickets as they were a result of your negligence. When presented with our position in a telephone conversation your answer was - “We are sorry for the resulting situation but there is nothing we can do about that. You will have to pay it yourself”, without even explaining why! We don’t feel that is right. It was your responsibility to ensure that we receive the permit on the day of our move in. When we called about it being missing you were not aware of that and explained that it seems that the previous tenants did not hand it in. To our knowledge the apartment was made vacant on the 16th of June giving you two weeks to become aware of the missing permit. In any case we expected a higher standard from a large and renowned company like Chancellors and certainly better customer service. We sincerely hope that you will reconsider your stance on this matter and improve our perception of your standards.

I've just had a successful letting with Chancellors in Sunningdate. I dealt mostly with Jenny Wintermeyer who was a pleasure to work with, friendly, polite and very well informed. Because we were pressed for time, they pulled out the stops to finish all the paperwork in very quick time and in a very professional manner. The team who answered the phone were also very polite and helpful, especially Kate and Lauren. [Sorry I didn't have the chance to speak with Fraser - I'm sure he would have been just as helpful.]
