Just be respectful…

Lived in Blakeridge Mill for approx 3 months, whole process from start to finish was dealt with professionally by Harriet and Hannah. Dave the maintenance man is a legend and helps you whenever he can. For everyone worried about the deposit, as long as you respect the flat, clean it regularly and take care of the furniture, you shouldn’t have to worry, mine was returned within 4 days of me leaving the apartment. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the car park is a bit of a nightmare, parking at the complex is awful and the barrier system just does not work effectively. The parking lot hasn’t has tarmac laid yet so cars are just filthy 24/7, but if this was to change, it would be an improvement dramatically.

We couldn’t have been happier with our apartment. It was extremely spacious and modern with the added bonus of being furnished which really made a difference when choosing a place to live within the area. Very reasonable price considering how nice the apartment is and we got our full deposit back within a matter of days of moving out which was excellent. The staff on site are all lovely and approachable - no issue is too much for them. Parking for us wasn’t a big problem due to us being in an apartment away from the main mills however it was mainly how other people parked (badly) which caused a few issues but there was plenty of parking around the other side. We never had any problems whilst living there and were really sad to leave due to buying a house out of area. Would definitely recommend living here for anyone considering, you won’t regret it. Raspberry Lettings- brilliant service…

We recently moved into an apartment at Ledgard Wharf in Mirfield which was let by Raspberry Lettings. We felt assured given that the main journey was virtual, by email & telephone due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, calls & emails were dealt with promptly & continued support where required provided without delay or issue. Upon moving into the apartment it was spotless, fresh new paintwork made this the move as expected. Whilst on inspection there are a few minor defects spotted, promptly provided images & detail to Harriet Hunter within just a few minutes we received a response email with the plumber/maintenance provider copied in, whilst there's no immediate impact we are hopeful & confident that given our long term plan to stay here we will see these defects sorted anyway. Thanks again & here's to a continued positive journey

Jubilee Mill

I move in to the Jubilee Mill in April 2017 and have only recently moved out. The apartments are beautiful with large windows and exposed brick work. They come furnished with a sofa, bed, wardrobes, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer etc I never had any issues with any of the items provided. Dave the handyman is brilliant and fixed any little niggles usually within a day or so and is really helpful and cheery.I had a couple of issues with a neighbour at the beginning of lockdown but Harriet and Hannah sorted this out immediately which was greatly appreciated.I moved out a week ago and received my deposit today. The communication between myself and Raspberry Lettings has been great and they have responded to any questions I had within a 24 hour period.As a couple of the reviews mention the car park is a little muddy with potholes but I park at a small car park to the side of the jubilee Mill to avoid the main car park. I would highly recommend renting an apartment at the Blakeridge Mill site and after 4 years I will miss my apartment!

Highly Recommend...

I lived at the Jubilee Mill for 2.5 years and was so impressed with my experience.They are an extremely responsive letting agent, always replied to any issues within a few hours, and maintenance problems were either sorted same day or first thing the next day. Gym and pool facilities are great and COVID secure via a booking system. Car park isn’t great, due to potholes and very dusty etc but there is a small car park opposite that’s paved that I used instead so by no means a deal breaker.Receiving post is a little problematic due to no buzzer system but some delivery drivers had fobs and I just gave my number with any orders or got it delivered to Callaghan news down the road if I wasn’t going to be in. The flats are high quality and finished really nicely. Walls a little thin, but again, this is to be expected in most flats.I received my deposit back within 4 working days so really impressed.Overall, I would highly recommend and I think you get what you pay for here.

Jubilee Mill; Batley

I have lived at Jubilee Mill in Batley for almost 2 years now and I can honestly say that these are by far the best apartments I have ever lived in. The apartments are finished to a very high standard (wooden floors, steel beams and brick/stone walls/ceilings) and the buildings themselves are very well kept, with all the staff being helpful and friendly. The leisure facilities are excellent (gym and swimming pool for residents) and the booking system now in place as a result of COVID-19 means that everyone is kept safe at all times! The apartments are extremely close to the centre of Batley (30 second walk) so for some one that works long hours like me, is ideal for food shopping etc. Although I’ve been here for nearly 2 years I’m still really enjoying my apartment and have no desire to leave any time soon.

Lived in a beautiful two bed flat in the mill for 6 months before relocating due to work. The landlady’s were always really helpful and any queries answered the same day and sorted very quickly. The facilities were excellent, no faults at all. The mill is also very conveniently located to Batley town centre and the doctors and pharmacy. The flats were finished to a high standard yet very reasonably priced, even for the north!! Would recommend.

HiI moved into Ledgard Bridge Mill through Raspberry Lettings , I needed to find somewhere Quick. Raspberry Lettings were absolutely brilliant from first contact to moving in, they kept regular contact getting the paperwork through very efficiently. The girls in the office kept me up to date every step of the way. The 2 Bed apartment was sparkling clean when i arrived and had a full make over top to bottom. (The Kids Love it). I cant speak highly enough of how efficient this company were and how they looked after me at a difficult time. A pleasure doing business with them.

2 stars Because its friday and I'm being fair.Started well...enough.They fixed the washer drier within a couple days and i was off and running.6 months in..the owner of the flat i was renting contacted me to say raspberry had not been forwarding any income to her. I showed her my bank statements which she gave to her lawyer.Come the end of the years tennancy it took over a month of chasing I had to leverage the fact my land lady had an open criminal offense (fraud) charged on them..to get my deposit.Annoying if say you needed it for the next rental.Never again.Apart from that though no conplaints, nice pool

If I could give this place a zero I would. They are the loveliest people ever when they want you to move in. As soon as they’ve got you tied in to that 12 month agreement they couldn’t care less about you.I moved out on ththe 26/08/2020. We were supposed to get our deposit back 10 days after this, still waiting and I’m having to raise it TDS and the property ombudsman. Absolutely the worst estate agents I’ve ever dealt with. I’d advise to stay away at all costs from these guys. Money grabbing thieves.

Prepare to be ignored and have to chase your deposit

I lived here for a year before leaving. The flats seem nice at first, everything is new and clean. They are damn expensive to heat as the heaters are tiny electric ones. The vents in the windows leak if you have a storm or the windows are cleaned. The under counter fridge with a shelf freezer is not really suitable for one person so good luck if you're a couple. Honestly for the price you pay, you can get somewhere a lot more practical in the area.The car park is terrible, parking is a mess (I have been boxed in once or twice) and the dirt gets on you as you walk to your car (they have made it look resurfaced in the pictures but it is unfinished gravely mud) They don't care, no replies to any complaints about parking and no action taken despite the face I had an email last November saying they would start to monitor the parking.Now I am going through the process of trying to get my deposit back. I have been told by Raspberry Lettings that everything was fine with the flat and now I am being ignored. As anyone who rents knows, getting your deposit back on time can be pretty important and I have been totally let down and will probably have to chase through other avenues at this rate.Overall I would approach with caution, don't expect amazing quality from the fittings they have used and definitely don't expect your deposit back (or any acknowledgement of getting it back) when you leave.

Nice flats

Nice flats, lovely space for two people. Nice bedrooms with a built in washer-and-dryer. Already has furniture and was spotless when we moved in. Has what seems like daily cleaners and has sanitising stations built in on the main door.Staff reply to emails quickly and are very polite.However, it’s a a bit too pricey for just a two bedroom flat, even though it’s a lovely and clean place. Would rate this 5* if it wasn’t for the monthly price.

Just taken over a tenancy and cannot fault Raspberry Lettings so far. So far have been very pleasant, extremely efficient, very responsive and kind. Very impressed so far!!The apartment is very modern - love the exposed brick work and wood floors. The onsite facilities are also very impressive as well as an onsite maintenance team - which so far nothing is too much trouble. Close to local amenities and road access links made it ideal. Very impressed so far!!!

Do not rent from this company !!!! We rented a house in Wakefield owned by Harriet to be honest when we moved in what a dump it was in a right filthy state the carpets were minging, the garden was in a mess, rubbish left by previous tennant, shower leaked, the thermostat was not connected up to the boiler, the list goes on, when I rang this thing called a landlord all she had to say when I complained on the state of the place was ...if you don't like it I will end the tenancy.. not what I was expecting her to say when we moved out few weeks back at the end of the six months tbh couldn't wait to get out of this dump, she had the cheek to charge me 40 quid to clean the stair carpet cleaning I had left stains on it, when I disputed this with her on the phone the child decided to put the phone down something that I have read on previous posts about harriet, I'm surprised this company has not been investigated by authorities yet I have never had dealings with a company like this, at some point I'm sure they will come unstuck !! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE COWBOYS !!!!!! You will regret it !!!!

MUST READ- DO NOT SCROLL PAST- THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE! I moved out of Apartment 22 in The Pavilion (which was one of the houses) in February 2020! THE WORST LANDLORD I have ever experienced! Let me tell you... if you’ve already started a tenancy with raspberry Lettings then I’d start regretting it now So, after moving out I was told via face to face and over the phone that my full deposit would be returned within 10 days ... LIES... 12 weeks later we still hadn’t got it back with the excuse of “we’re doing it today” or “the accountant is in a meeting” ...they don’t have an accountant... this was every time I rang (7 or 8 times out of hundreds that I managed to get through to them)! We raised a dispute through TDS and have finally got it back after 14 weeks! Myself and my house mate we’re also registered under false names on TDS which raspberry Lettings had done which made it harder to retrieve the deposit! If you think you can just keep ringing them and emailing them to get your deposit back or to get things done... think again, I was hung up on, my number was blocked, they sent me to voicemail if they knew I wanted to contact them.. they’re impossible! Want to hear your neighbours express their love for each other via movement and sound??? GOOD because the walls are paper thin! Apparently grass was to be put down in-front of our house “anytime soon”... that never happened They lied about getting individual spaces in the car park which never happened... also, if you love your car being dirty, broken suspension, risk of theft and bald tyres... then this car park serves all that! You think you might pay maybe £15 or £20 a month for water ??? Ohh nooooo you pay £40 A MONTH to raspberry Lettings for water to run out your taps... is this a money making scheme? We’ll never know!!!! You want hot water longer than 10 minutes a day??? Well, your out of luck! because that’s all you’ve got in a 24 hour period! They’ve been offering free fobs to the over packed and unclean swimming pool and gym if people leave a good review, so if you want to believe them that’s up to you! Travellers came at one point and parked their caravans on the car park! Raspberry Lettings didn’t seem to care Work men constantly building and working at early hours of the morning and all through the day! We received many emails about people having their cars broken into and one person even got hijacked! So, if you love being stressed to the point of breaking, want to feel unsafe where you live, have no money, have no help from your so called ‘Landlord’ and want to be treated like a carpet stain then Raspberry Lettings at Blakeridge mill village is the place for you! i would never ever reccomend this company, they ignore emails and calls regarding getting your deposit back. how they can operate knowing they are keeping peoples depoists is beyond me. they dont even give you a reason as to why they just ignore you. very insulting when they all have £100k plus cars parked outside with private reg plates. they are rude and arrogant. if you do choose to move in take pictures of everthing before and after. they must be desperate to keep hold of peoples deposits. i am going down the legal route to get my deposit back. from the day you move out contact them in writing and keep all evidence they have 10 days to respond(they wont) and then just proceed down the legal route

Waited MONTHS for my bond returning. Calls and messages unanswered. Absolutely no good reason at all given for why my bond was not returned in a timely manner. Luckily for my the owner of my flat got involved and i got it back eventually, ive known others who have waited even longer and had to go to court in order to get it back. Just wanted to let everyone know how Raspberry lettings have been the worst landlord we've every dealt with. 6 months ago our emails were ignored about a faulty cooker. now a week before moving out an electrician has turned up without warning wanting to test the flat. Only to be then told we are to pay for the broken cooker... The only thing i regret is not been able to give 0 stars.

I've now helped over 30 people get their deposits back from Raspberry Lettings (check out our support group on Facebook) and I'm constantly seeing them lie to people and do anything they can to hold onto people's deposits. All these people have left the apartments in suitable condition and RL haven't disputed that, they simply ignore the emails and phone calls, both from the Tennant's and the deposit company! They tell people the deposit company has the money but I have written proof from TDS that raspberry lettings have this money and are forced to send it to TDS who then reimburse Tennant's months later than they should have received their ~£600. Wouldn't even let us have a moving van on site when we finally had the joy of leaving, the "man in the van" offered to take down and put back up the barrier so they didn't have to do any work and they threatened to call the police for vandalism! They also had a go at us for reporting an attempted vehicle theft to the police though I have no idea why. The gym deposit isn't protected at all, the only way to get this back is either to keep it out of your last month's rent or go through small claims court. When you go through the court there will be a £25 fee, RASPBERRY LETTINGS MUST REIMBURSE THIS, they will start by sending you only the gym deposit then chase you asking you to confirm to the courts that you've received your money. Make sure you let them know that you won't do this until they also reimburse the fee. They'll send it in minutes. I can provide plenty of proof of all of this. We have a Facebook support group that I actually made as a community group whilst I lived in the apartment in an attempt to help people share and be more environmentally friendly. Unfortunately as Raspberry lettings are keeping thousands of pounds from people without cause, it's become a place to share advice. Batleys MP has recently been made aware of this and has confirmed to me they will address Raspberry Lettings now we've provided multiple complaints.

Lived at Blakeridge Mills a while back. Everything looks great at first but you quickly realise things are done on the cheap. Things will just start to fall apart, I don't think there was anything that didn't break in the flat. When you try to leave they will hold your deposit and not return it. As with other people we were also threatened with the "burnt carpet" no idea where they got this from. Every flat I have been in is either roasting or freezing. Don't waste your time and money. Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional company. (Funny that they managed to respond to me faster than they give deposits back and money to landlords. Sums them up 👍)

Wouldn't even let us have a moving van on site when we finally had the joy of leaving, the "man in the van" offered to take down and put back up the barrier so they didn't have to do any work and they threatened to call the police for vandalism! They also had a go at us for reporting an attempted vehicle theft to the police though I have no idea why. The deposit still hasn't been returned and we're all having to file reports in the hopes someone of authority will help us get it back, just like all other tenants there is no issue with how we left the property, they're simply ignoring us and have done this to people and kept their deposits for over a year now!
