Googlei would never ever reccomend this company, they ignore emails and calls regarding getting your deposit back. how they can operate knowing they are keeping peoples depoists is beyond me. they dont even give you a reason as to why they just ignore you. very insulting when they all have £100k plus cars parked outside with private reg plates. they are rude and arrogant. if you do choose to move in take pictures of everthing before and after. they must be desperate to keep hold of peoples deposits. i am going down the legal route to get my deposit back. from the day you move out contact them in writing and keep all evidence they have 10 days to respond(they wont) and then just proceed down the legal route

GoogleWaited MONTHS for my bond returning. Calls and messages unanswered. Absolutely no good reason at all given for why my bond was not returned in a timely manner. Luckily for my the owner of my flat got involved and i got it back eventually, ive known others who have waited even longer and had to go to court in order to get it back.
The owner of my flat has also experienced monetary issues with this company.

GoogleRE Ledgard Wharf - unable to find reviews for LW. so posting here...
Just wanted to let everyone know how Raspberry lettings have been the worst landlord we've every dealt with. 6 months ago our emails were ignored about a faulty cooker. now a week before moving out an electrician has turned up without warning wanting to test the flat. Only to be then told we are to pay for the broken cooker...
The only thing i regret is not been able to give 0 stars.

GoogleI've now helped over 30 people get their deposits back from Raspberry Lettings (check out our support group on Facebook) and I'm constantly seeing them lie to people and do anything they can to hold onto people's deposits. All these people have left the apartments in suitable condition and RL haven't disputed that, they simply ignore the emails and phone calls, both from the Tennant's and the deposit company!
They tell people the deposit company has the money but I have written proof from TDS that raspberry lettings have this money and are forced to send it to TDS who then reimburse Tennant's months later than they should have received their ~£600.
Wouldn't even let us have a moving van on site when we finally had the joy of leaving, the "man in the van" offered to take down and put back up the barrier so they didn't have to do any work and they threatened to call the police for vandalism!
They also had a go at us for reporting an attempted vehicle theft to the police though I have no idea why.
The gym deposit isn't protected at all, the only way to get this back is either to keep it out of your last month's rent or go through small claims court.
When you go through the court there will be a £25 fee, RASPBERRY LETTINGS MUST REIMBURSE THIS, they will start by sending you only the gym deposit then chase you asking you to confirm to the courts that you've received your money. Make sure you let them know that you won't do this until they also reimburse the fee. They'll send it in minutes.
I can provide plenty of proof of all of this.
We have a Facebook support group that I actually made as a community group whilst I lived in the apartment in an attempt to help people share and be more environmentally friendly. Unfortunately as Raspberry lettings are keeping thousands of pounds from people without cause, it's become a place to share advice.
Batleys MP has recently been made aware of this and has confirmed to me they will address Raspberry Lettings now we've provided multiple complaints.

GoogleLived at Blakeridge Mills a while back. Everything looks great at first but you quickly realise things are done on the cheap. Things will just start to fall apart, I don't think there was anything that didn't break in the flat.
When you try to leave they will hold your deposit and not return it. As with other people we were also threatened with the "burnt carpet" no idea where they got this from.
Every flat I have been in is either roasting or freezing. Don't waste your time and money. Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional company.
(Funny that they managed to respond to me faster than they give deposits back and money to landlords. Sums them up 👍)

GoogleLandladies mistreated us for a year and caused no end of trouble.

The deposit still hasn't been returned and we're all having to file reports in the hopes someone of authority will help us get it back, just like all other tenants there is no issue with how we left the property, they're simply ignoring us and have done this to people and kept their deposits for over a year now!

GoogleDO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! Like many other comments on here, I too have had a completely appalling service provided by the women running Raspberry lettings. I moved out late September and over the next 4 months had to get my Rent deposit returned through the Government Scheme, afterwards having to file a County Court Judgement against them just to get my gym deposit returned. After numerous times contacting them, no reason was ever given as to why my deposit hadn't been returned. Very unprofessional company as well as being the worst experience ever.

GoogleYou are lucky that 1 star is the lowest option! Absolutely disgusting how Raspberry lettings behave when it comes to returning deposits, it seems as though they have forgotten what good customer service is when it comes to handling business matters.
I have exhausted all avenues in attempt to retrieve my deposit back from them, and still no joy, resulted in a filed dispute with My Deposits, lets see how long it takes Raspberry Lettings to acknowledge!
I genuinely had a nice experience during my time within Blakeridge Mill village, however massively regretting it now with the lack of action shown by Raspberry Lettings. Nobody ever seems to be in the office, whether its holidays, meetings or just being "extremely busy", always asked to leave a message rather than speak to the relevant person(s) in accounts. Should change the name to "False Promises"
Very disappointed in how i've been treated, after reading some recent reviews it seems this isn't uncommon from them!
I'll be sure to tell anyone considering renting here to avoid at all costs, it really is NOT worth the hassle. They are either in significant financial trouble or just simply have no clue how to deal with PEOPLE!
Highly frustrated!

GoogleDO NOT RENT from Raspberry Lettings! No Matter how ideal the location, how nice the flat looks, how comparative the rent price, heed the warnings of previous tenants and DO NOT RENT at Blakeridge Mills.
I lived here for a year from February 2019 - February 2020. On initial viewing, the flat looked lovely, convenient to have all furniture included, close to work and family. Fast forward a few months and it becomes evident how little the flat had been thought out. Milk goes off after two days in the fridge because it can't get cold enough being next to the oven, there's no draining board and the sink is circular - good luck getting a washing up bowl in there - and the windows don't open more than 5cm or indeed close properly! Blisteringly hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter, these flats are not designed to house people.
Oh, and that's not to mention the paper-thin walls - I REALLYenjoyed listening to my neighbour Hannah, who works for Raspberry Lettings, talking on her phone about other residents. And watching TV. And making dinner. And showering. And going to the loo. And having long, loud evenings with her boyfriend.
On top of all that, if against all the advice you do decide to rent from these vile people, expect constant emails threatening you with fines for using the wrong doors, aggressive notes posted through your door if you leave a parcel there too long, bombardment through every viable form of communication when they mistakenly come to the conclusion you haven't paid your rent, and no help when you have issues.
And the car park, oh the CAR PARK! That pile of dirt and rubble that you're meant to leave your car on, when the office staff have dedicated landscaped spots (for their range rovers with personalised number plates)! Have fun with your car never being clean, your shoes getting muddy (ang gettiing shouted at through your door if you accidentally bring mud from their car park in), having to traipse through puddles and rivers to get to the front door, and your car's suspension needing repairing.
And there's more! The flats are incredibly inefficient. I paid my electricity bill every month, so you can imagine my shock when the final bill came throuh at £450! For a one bedroom flat!
We haven't yet even covered the return of my deposit! On the day before I moved out, I asked Hannah verbally when I would get my deposit back, and she confirmed it would be 10 days from the date of my move out. Weeks later, when I still hadn’t got it back or heard anything from them, I sent an email only for Harriet to tell me that they wanted to see proof of my bills being paid! Fine… all sent… Oh you can wait another 10 days now. Two more weeks pass and I attempt to contact Raspberry Lettings about my deposit again. At this point, they ignored all of my emails and didn’t pick up my phone calls, and at one point even had the cheek to send a fake ‘automated response’ email.
I raised a dispute with My Deposits, who I believed to be protecting the deposit. However, because Raspberry Lettings' membership with them had expired in October (hmm, I wonder why...), they were unable to help me. At this point, I again attempted to contact the office, and was told that they were no longer speaking to me about the deposit as it was in the hands of My Deposits. My Deposits confirmed to me over the phone that this was untrue and they were lying to me. Their advice to me was to go through the Small Claims Court to get my money back.
I sent a letter giving notice of processing a court claim at the start of March, and it took finding the details of their secretary and registered solicitor (find her details using the Legal Society website) to finally get the money back. I truly believe that Helen, the lady who finally sorted this out, had no idea any of this was going on. This is pure deception, and scheming, callous behaviour on the part of Harriet.
DO NOT RENT from these untrustworthy, immoral, greedy women.

GoogleRaspberry Lettings have been extremely accommodating since I moved into Blakeridge Mills a couple of weeks ago. They have ensured that my stay at so far has been easy and have actioned things for me when I have asked /queried them.
It is super handy having their office on site, and they respond to emails / calls quickly and professionally. The site also has the luxury facility of a swimming pool and gym which is easily accessible through a gorgeous lounge /quiet area where you can work or study with wifi access.
The different range of apartments are stunning and provide a lot of space. A lot of work has been put into these properties and the Ladies at Raspberry work extremely hard to make sure all residents are satisfied.
I really recommend living here, as moving up from London by myself was daunting experience, though everyone has been super friendly and the complex has a nice community feel to it.

GoogleLet's start with the flat - it's nice enough. The walls are fairly thin, as people have mentioned, but it's manageable. That's where the 1 star comes from. I encouraged some friends to move in, but now I'm encouraging them to move out.
The moving-out process has been dreadful, at best. We were accused of burn marks in the carpet which were pre-existing and raised at the start of the tenancy (with photos). We were deducted the full amount for replacement of the radiators which were returned in a suitable working manner. We've had to go through a DPS to claim the deposit back.
Sounds pretty bad, huh?
We had to go through the Small Claims Court AND request a CCJ to get our leisure bond back. They promised it "today", "this afternoon" at least 10 times over the 2 months after leaving, but it took legal action to get it back, in the end.
It's almost funny that they make you pay everything up-front, you pay your rent early, refer other people to live there, but when it comes to returning bonds & deposits it just sits gathering dust (or interest) for months. Imagine what good customer service looks like, turn it on its head and you've pretty much got Raspberry Lettings nailed on.
They're flaky as anything - when we moved out we asked if we could sign anything, if we could get email confirmation etc - nothing. They just took the keys at the door and went.
I remember when I moved in, I thought "It's okay, these other reviews probably had some genuine issues in their apartment, they won't mess me about like that" - if you're thinking similarly, don't. They will do the same to you. I know someone else who moved out during my tenancy and they faced similar issues, too.

GooglePLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LETTING AGENT! I moved out of my apartment in Blakeridge Mills at the beginning of December 2019 and I have still not received my deposit of £775 back. I have called the office a number of times and each time they have not provided a reason as to why they have not returned my deposit, they even stated that I had left the apartment in an “immaculate” condition. I always made payments on time and never caused any issues. If you read the reviews here and on other websites they have a similar story to tell! MUST READ- DO NOT SCROLL PAST- THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE!I moved out of Apartment 22 in The Pavilion (which was one of the houses) in February 2020! THE WORST LANDLORD I have ever experienced!Let me tell you... if you’ve already started a tenancy with raspberry Lettings then I’d start regretting it nowSo, after moving out I was told via face to face and over the phone that my full deposit would be returned within 10 days ... LIES... 12 weeks later we still hadn’t got it back with the excuse of “we’re doing it today” or “the accountant is in a meeting” ...they don’t have an accountant... this was every time I rang (7 or 8 times out of hundreds that I managed to get through to them)! We raised a dispute through TDS and have finally got it back after 14 weeks!Myself and my house mate we’re also registered under false names on TDS which raspberry Lettings had done which made it harder to retrieve the deposit! If you think you can just keep ringing them and emailing them to get your deposit back or to get things done... think again, I was hung up on, my number was blocked, they sent me to voicemail if they knew I wanted to contact them.. they’re impossible!Want to hear your neighbours express their love for each other via movement and sound??? GOOD because the walls are paper thin!Apparently grass was to be put down in-front of our house “anytime soon”... that never happenedThey lied about getting individual spaces in the car park which never happened... also, if you love your car being dirty, broken suspension, risk of theft and bald tyres... then this car park serves all that! You think you might pay maybe £15 or £20 a month for water ??? Ohh nooooo you pay £40 A MONTH to raspberry Lettings for water to run out your taps... is this a money making scheme? We’ll never know!!!!You want hot water longer than 10 minutes a day??? Well, your out of luck! because that’s all you’ve got in a 24 hour period! They’ve been offering free fobs to the over packed and unclean swimming pool and gym if people leave a good review, so if you want to believe them that’s up to you!Travellers came at one point and parked their caravans on the car park! Raspberry Lettings didn’t seem to careWork men constantly building and working at early hours of the morning and all through the day!We received many emails about people having their cars broken into and one person even got hijacked! So, if you love being stressed to the point of breaking, want to feel unsafe where you live, have no money, have no help from your so called ‘Landlord’ and want to be treated like a carpet stain then Raspberry Lettings at Blakeridge mill village is the place for you! Absolutely atrocious!

TrustpilotAwful experience
On applying for an apartment the staff at Raspberry lettings are kind and helpful and friendly but when you move out it is a different story. Getting your deposit back is a massive headache. Even getting your gym bond back is impossible. I moved out over a month ago and I have had to raise a dispute with TDS. The apartments look nice but the walls are paper thin and offer no privacy and cost a fortune to keep warm too. The pool is nice in the morning but the gym is too hot and cramped on an evening. All in all not a great place to live and a headache to leave behind. If you're already in one I would not pay your last months rent and leave them with the deposit. The financial loss outweighs the hassle.

GoogleI lived at Jubilee Mill from September 2019 to April 2020. Although the time here was short, Thanks to COVID!, I did really like the flat. Open plan layout, fully furnished and the exposed brick work. Competitively priced compared to City Centre apartments. Any problems were dealt with either via phone or email. Was sad to leave really but due to COVID I had to relocate with my job.

TrustpilotExtremely disappointing behaviour
Extremely disappointed and shocked at the way I have been treated after leaving my rented property. Viewed early Jul 2019 and after being showed around i was keen to proceed, at which i was required to pay the £630 deposit to secure even though the apartment wasnt available for another 3 weeks. This was done and the day I was due to move in I was then required to pay the month rent up front of £550 which I did. This was my first rental and thought this was fairly standard. I did enjoy living there and also paid £200 in Aug 19 for use of the communal gym/pool which again I enjoyed using This was a 1 off payment which is to be returned at the end of the tenancy.I continued to pay my rent on time for the 7 months, then provided 1 month notice 26th Jan yet asked to leave by 24th Feb which I did. On this date I asked when i should receive the £830 total to be told the apartment is due a full check over and once approved I will receive refund within 10days. This timeframe passed and so I chased to be told 13th March the payment was in process and due with me the following week. Unfortunately this is the last response i received and after chasing numerous occasions. I have been left no choice but to dispute through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme yet this only covers the £630 deposit for the apartment.I think this is completely immoral and cannot understand why Raspberry Lettings thinks this is an acceptable way to treat people. Such a shame after a great 7 months and now I want to warn others in advance of entering a contract.

This review was written a year ago and I’ve been waiting until my business had finished to post....Today it has now been concluded, With the help of HMRC and their lawyer Mrs Davies it has taken these scumbags almost a year to give us back our bond for the gym!!!Terrible! Don't bother. All nicey nice when you move in but once they have you, prepare for snotty, rude, pointless emails. Poor communication, terrible upkeep of the car park and do not fall for the con that is the sugar hut- Their leisure facility. The deposit of £300 per couple or £150 for an individual is scandalous, it is not protected, and I am sure is only used to boost their ISA's interest. Forget about having packages delivered to your address, no intercom or parcel acceptance service. Forget about going into the office to discuss any issues as they are not in until 8.30am and they are often on the road home by 4:30pm, so unless you’re lucky enough to work part time like these seem to, you'll never catch them. Not to mention the fact that their emails/phones seem to stop working when you ask them to send you the bond back (for the leisure facilities) thank god we didn't have to deal with them to get our flat deposit back, we were lucky, our landlord saw sense and asked homestart to manage our flat, miles more professional, fair and a pleasure to deal with. Watch out for vandalism, car theft and burglary while your at it as well. Nice flats to start out in but the customer service from these cowboys is not worth it. Avoid avoid avoid!
