We sold our house through Andrews Bear Flat and Keith Miles. The house sold straight away, fell through and sold again straight away. Keith and his team were switched on, patient, personable and I would recommend them to anyone!

Excellent service! Every member of staff we worked with were thoroughly knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They took all COVID safety precautions seriously. They were extremely fast at responding and even allowed us to go back to the property to take extra measurements at short notice. We were originally offered the afternoon to live in, but as soon as we explained that we had a van booked and work off, they rearranged their schedule to allow a 9:30 check in instead. Both my partner and I said they have changed our mind about estate agents. Highly recommend!PositiveResponsiveness

We viewed many properties before we found our chosen home. The whole experience was good from start to finish. Our agent (Tania Hall) kept giving us regular updates, was honest and realistic with us as navigated any issues. Despite the pandemic and large chain causing delays, our agent did a good job at keeping things moving forward. It was good to have support and advice from agency as this was our first time buying a house and the whole process was new to us. I would recommend anyone using Andrews as an agency.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

Andrews were excellent when we recently purchased our first property. We were really impressed with their communication, both with us and as a team. Although the person managing our purchase changed mid-way, the new handler had all the up to date information and we always felt we knew who to contact with any questions. They always responded really quickly and the whole purchase ran really smoothly. All the staff we dealt with were incredibly warm and lovely and we felt they genuinely respected what a big deal buying a house was to us. Thank you Andrews!

Working with Andrews is like eating a strawberry cheesecake, 100% satisfaction guaranteed... Think of them as a team with a thick layer of cheesecake, sandwiched between a crunchy biscuit base and a delicious strawberry topping, every part delicious, but when combined everything is EVEN better... the team is great and when combined it brings out the best in each part. From the lettings team who find tenants, to the negotiation team who finalise the contract, from the check in clerks who ensure the tenant moves in without a hiccup, to the team who continuously work hard to ensure us landlord are looked after... the experience is just perfect! If there were Michelin Stars for Estate Agents, Andrews would have 3!

Almost ruined our entire move. We organised a flat through Andrews in Bear Flats and were contacted the day AFTER our tenancy started that they hadn't checked and that the landlord didn't have the permission to actually let out their property in the first place. They were barely apologetic and always extremely difficult to get a hold of even while they were taking almost a week to return the money we paid for a flat that was never elligable to move into. Don't use them, they clearly can't do their job properly and will never be helpful in the slightest even when they screw you over.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

The absolute worst agency I have ever used. Constant unprofessionalism, lack of knowledge and moral disregard demonstrated throughout the tenancy. I was charged £350 in fees to sign the contract, but they could not justify at all why - luckily these have now been abolished by the governement for future tenants. They tried to refund me the previous tenant's deposit at the start of the tenancy; then did the same when I moved out (wouldn't release our deposit until the new tenant had provided their account details, despite it having nothing to do with them!). This shows a complete ignorance for who their clients are at any one time. They also outright lied and told me I would be responsible for continuing rental payments after the fixed-term contract had ended if I did not sign the surrender agreement. This was despite the fact that the very document they pestered me to sign iterated that I must only sign once my deposit had been released and the checkout inspection had been made; neither of which had been done. Please avoid letting with this company. I wholeheartedly urge you to consider anywhere else in Bath.

Not a positive experience. We enlisted Andrews in the early summer of 2019 to sell my parents house in Southdown Road as part of a downsizing exercise. We had a few agents round and we were impressed with Andrews initial sales pitch and the fact that they seemed very positive that they could sell the house. They actually gave the highest value of all the agents who we saw, and mentioned that they had buyers ready who had failed to secure another similar house in the road. The downside was that their fee is higher than everyone else’s, 1.5% instead of 1%. But we decided that if they stood such a good chance of securing a good buyer at a higher price, it would be worth the extra fee. At our request they organised an open day, for ten days after the house went online. As the ten days counted down we realised that they had only managed to book three people into the open day. Two of them cancelled, the one who didn’t cancel never showed! Not a great start! The weeks went by, which become months, with a very small number of viewings taking place, and no offers. At the three month point, when the contract with them technically ran out of it’s fixed period we were at the point of moving to another agent and lowering the price. The day before we did this, they called to say they had an offer from an HMO developer, a reliable buyer. His offer was 40k under asking, which we initially baulked at. Andrews advised us that ‘due to the state of the market’ it might be wise to accept it, especially if we could secure a similar discount on the house we were buying to house my parents. We managed to find a house that was well discounted, and offered lower, had it accepted, and then despite the fact that it would be VERY tight on money considered accepting this very low offer. Andrews assured us of the buyers integrity, that he’d always come through on deals and never let them down. It did feel a bit like they were representing him more than us, but never the less, we believed them and continued with the deal. The buyer started making noises about not being able to complete until early Jan, 2020 due to a story about his bank not willing to extend his credit until January. This was going to put pressure on the (very small) chain but we worked with this and instructed solicitors. We paid for searches (on the new house we were hoping to buy) and racked up a four figure bill in legal fees. The weeks went on further, well into winter. We were then advised that their ‘very reliable’ buyer wanted to wait a total (from now) of eight more months to complete, claiming again that his bank wouldn’t release funds earlier. A likely story! Needless to say, the sellers of the house we wanted to buy immediately walked from the deal and put their house back on the market. So here we are, months after the initial instruction with no sale and little chance of one due to the time of year. A very very disappointing performance from Andrews, very very costly indeed and deeply upsetting for my parents. I’d sooner stick septic pins into intimate parts of my body than use or recommend this agent again. A sickening experience. The fact that they were so insistent about the integrity of this ‘investor buyer’ who actually turned out to be a completely dishonest chancer. They should remember that it’s the seller who pays them, not the buyer.

Having struggled for several months trying to find a house in a difficult market these guys were very helpful. Although on this occasion they did not find me a house I was very impressed with the communication from James as he was more or less the only person from all the local agents to keep me informed about activity. Thank you for your help and I may well be in touch in the future....
