Plymouth Mutley Branch - what a joke

Plymouth Mutley branch is possibly the worse estate agent in Plymouth. Found a buyer quickly with lots of calls and pressure to accept a deal, even had the phone put down on me for not agreeing to a stupid price, finally agreed a price then boom radio silence, hardly ever reply to email, when phoning up to speak to Manager Sam you always get told he’s busy, no chance of getting a call back. The buyer pulled about a month back as informed by my solicitor. To this day no call from Connels to say it fell through. It’s no wonder the buyer pulled out if he was treated like me by Sam and his team. They have cost me hundreds of pounds due to their incompetence. I could go on and on. My advice would be to avoid at all cost.

Please please do not use this company

Please please do not use this company. I dealt with the Northampton office. I am a Landlord. Nearly 8 months on I have received no rent dealing with Olivia Williams in the legal department have very little communication from her. Taken rent protection and have received not 1 single penny they are supposed to pay out after 2 months. My health has deteriorated as a result of this.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Connels. I was first advised to auction my house for a speedy sale. Although I did want a quick sale, they did not explain the implications in terms of fees and selling price. When I called, no one one would answer or return the call. The onus was always on me to get feedback from viewings. I changed estate agent as Connels lost a sale - they told me they gave up trying to contact the potential buyer as they didn't get through to him after a couple of attempts and they just assumed if he was still interested he would be in touch. When I changes, someone who viewed the house called the new estate agent to enquire. Obviously, they were not able to have a second viewing but explained to the new estate agent that Connels did not answer any of their questions and did not show the house properly.

Absolutely positive experience. Please don't listen if someone says different it is marketing. I've been almost 7 months with this agency and I have only super positive experience. Sam, Ateja and a gentleman i forgot his name( i hope he forgives me ) super helpful, went above and beyond even out of working hours, on short notices honestly just can't find anything i could of complain. Don’t let or Buy the property in Alton Mews Aylesbury, HP19 8JZ.Be careful if you’re still going ahead with this property.The property is poorly built and the painting and the electrical works are of very poor quality. I would have given 0 rating if possible. If you have gone through them for letting and if you have paid some deposit, you are never going to get any money back. I paid £1146 as deposit and stayed there for 10 months. It was very new property. Already there were marks on the bathroom floor of paints, and in checkout they have mentioned as the floors are not cleaned though it was given back in exact condition i got. They conducted the checkout without my presence. The bulbs keeps flashing even after changing them already 3 times in last 10 months. our property was in the ground floor, so due to the moisture the walls were getting moulded regularly even after cleaning. The edges of every walls were showing wear and tear due to the poor quality of painting. The property was handed over well cleaned and they haven’t returned me a single penny as they say it requires deep cleaning. I wasted my 2 days to clean them. Deduction of some amount is acceptable, but whole amount for due to the poor quality of the building is not acceptable at all. Rubbish customer service and Mr Alexander was of no help

We are absolutely disgusted with the way this situation has been handled. We placed a deposit on a park home in good faith, fully expecting that we would be kept informed of any deadlines or time scales relating to the sale. The park manager had apparently relayed a time frame to the estate agent, yet this crucial information was never passed on to us. Without any warning, communication, or opportunity to respond, the property was sold behind our backs. Had we been properly informed, we would have acted immediately. Instead, we were left completely unaware and have now lost the home we had committed to. The lack of communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy throughout this process has been appalling. We are completely livid with how this has been handled and extremely disappointed in the estate agent’s failure to keep us properly informed.

Terrible exerience with Connels

I am not sure if all estate agents are money grabbing, corner cutting vultures but my experience with Connels Worcester has been horrible. They ofcourse charged me with a £600 tenant finder fee, and have convinced me that the zero deposit scheme will ensure if there are any damages to the property they will be paid by the tenant(s). Ofcourse the apartment was left in shambles despite having regular inspection visits at my request and the repairs done to the flat were horrible. I would recommend finding a different management company to manage your property if you cant do it yourself. Absolute livid by their horrible service

AVOID!!!!! These are the worst solicitors to use for buying and selling your property. They are unprofessional, rude, accept no responsibility when things go wrong and speak to you in a derogatory tone, like your an inconvenience for asking for an update.Poor communication with internal departments and actually bad mouth their own solicitors! Do not speak to external companies to chase enquiries, or update them. Everything is done via email, no personal touch. Dismiss your complaints and bully/threaten you when you question things.Increase fees which they don't tell you about or ask you to authorise then refuse to explain them when you receive your final bill.The list is endless!

Appalling service

Made an appointment to view a property. For 3 days in a row they sent me a reminder to attend the viewing. I arrived & waited in the bitterly cold weather for someone to arrive. On phoning the company I was told someone would be with me in minutes. After a further 10 minutes I phoned for a taxi to collect me. The agent did eventually arrive but I told her that I no longer wished to view the property. I thought I would've received an apology from the branch manager but no such luck. Avoid the company.

Like all estate agents, they are vague and not capable of providing buyers with the required information. Basically estate agents book in a handful of viewings, act as a path through to portals like Rightmove and that’s it. The house sells itself, not the agent. They just collect commission for hardly any work.

The lettings team at Redhill are pretty…

The lettings team at Redhill are pretty good but let down by very poor maintenance. As a landlord I am very disappointed. Significant damage has been caused by a shoddy repair and it’s causes me an awful lot of trouble, so much so that I’m considering instructing my solicitors.

Leicester branch manger waste of time, passes the book denying everything when I have evidence . This is the worse most unprofessional low class company I’ve had the misfortune to deal with in 50 years. They will do absolutely anything to wriggle and negate any responsibility when things go wrong, which they will I assure you.. do yourself a favour and steer well clear . They don’t deserve one star, the higher up the chain you go the more incompetent it gets. Awful, terrible service. I spoke to the police about the incident and the Seargent said “ oh they’re terrible , we’ve had problems.”
